the art style could go all sorts of crazy ways, full 3d models with neat physics and maybe a animation filter of sorts or a fully hd sprite work of beautiful hand sculpted clay models.

My favorite rare and expensive game is hagane 😎 i own the Japanese version loose copy. Also my favorite is nexzr for the pc engine it's a shoot em up and i have a complete copy 😍 only released in japan.

The only game that was rare that i rented back in the days was snowboard kids 2 and i didn't even knew it was rare at the time. I own the first game so when i saw it at the video store i was so excited and my friends too. Great memories.

I remember renting the SNES version and being VERY disappointed with it. Really sucked when you went to school monday-friday and the only time you really had a chance to stay up late and play video games was over the weekend and you spend your allowance on a game to rent and you don't even play it for an hour....

Gosh, seeing Claymates brought back so much memories. I remember always renting that game from Hollywood video and getting stuck in the first world. I still loved that game and am glad it’s on NSO now. I would love to see a new Clay Fighters game. I loved the original game on the SNES as a kid. I remember my cousin coming from Vancouver, BC and we played it one evening for hours. That is such a fond memory and seeing your video brought back a flood of memories. I do hope if a new one came out it would come to the Switch or the Switch’s successor.

My dad worked at blockbuster during the time and every new game that came in, I was given a copy of it brand new in the box. I even have a sculptor's cut complete in the box. I'm glad my dad was smart enough to keep the box, manual and other inserts when blockbuster got new games.

If it was a good, fun and goofy fighting game I probably would. You probably know, but Sculptor's Cut was always an expensive used game. It was almost impossible to find at swap meets, and when you found it, it was priced accordingly. A whopping $30 back in 2003.

Do you remember what year your grandpa bought this game? I grew up on Vashon Island and I can tell you with certainty that we never had a Blockbuster on the island. I moved away in 2001, so it's possible that the island eventually got a Blockbuster, although the N64 was already done by that point. Also, we mostly just had ma & pa shops back then. I remember a video rental store called Movie Magic, and to be honest, I don't remember that they even had video games.

I used to play the Snes game all the time at my neighbors house. I can almost remember the sounds, and how the characters moved and looked. It's all just feelings and flashes of images of their back tv room now. We loved the game.

I only had Clay Fighter 2 growing up, and I thought it was a blast then. The series didn’t really hold up though. I can’t see it as a franchise that makes a comeback. Cool video on Sculpture’s Cut though!

I bought Sculptor's Cut from Ebay about 8 years ago for 170 bucks out of box but in great condition. Now If you find one for less than 4 to 500 bucks plus in good condition you'd be lucky. 😅 I love how Clayfighter is essentially a mix or SF+MK with with the moves and of course "Claytalities" that everyone was copying from MK back in the 90s with finishers that MK introduced after you won the fight.

My local game store has it on display and you can play and let me tell you... It kinda sucks as a fighting game lol
