My earliest pokemon memory was when my elementary school bully convinced me to trade him a first edition Clefairy for an Execute because there were 5 eggs, which made it 5 times more powerful than 1 Clefairy. Plus, Clefairy was “gay.” Anyway, he ended up in prison for domestic abuse years later when I randomly decided to see what had happened to him, lol. So justice served.
I was an older student when Pokemon came out so it was one of those that passed me by, although I would watch the cartoon with my younger brother. I knew he was secretly bummed that he was missing out on the game that all his friends were playing and talking about as our parents weren't exactly flush with disposable income at the time (we live in UK so it had a bit of a later release, I think). So I found a listing in a local newspaper of someone who was selling their gameboy pocket with pokemon blue and took out some of my savings I had from my part-time student job. I told him I was going to buy a gameboy from a guy who lived a couple streets down and would he like to tag along. After we picked it up, I handed it straight to him and said "there you go, this is yours". All these years later, he still talks about his shock and surprise and how many happy hours he spent playing that game. I definitely gained some big sister kudos XP that day haha
Don't remember the exact time I got introduced to it but my older brother was really into it and had all the mainline GBA pokemon games. So I have nostalgia for those, I'd play them without my brother knowing, when he was gone somewhere LOL
I don't know how old the footage is, but Chase After the Right Price just posted a video about a massive haul of boxes. Literally thousands of boxes with hundreds of SNES boxes, and there were some heavies. Maybe hit him up and see if he got some stuff you'd be interested in!

I was originally introduced to Pokemon during the Gen 3 era, my first game was LeafGreen when I was 4 years old, and since then, my love of the franchise has only grown. I've been watching the anime and collecting (and playing) TCG since I was around the same age as I was introduced, and to this day everything the franchise has to offer (good and bad) still gives me the most joy
The Pokemon Mini console is a neat little gadget if you don’t have one in your collection yet. It’s the size of the Pocket Pikachu but it has interchangeable game cartridges, I think there were somewhere around 6-10 games released for it. I have the blue one and I think it’s one of the most unique items in my collection!
Bro, I remember a conversation in 5th Grade when a couple of kids in my class were talking about Pokémon and I was like “what” and they said “you don’t know anything about Pokémon” so I got Pokémon Black 2 (DS, CiB) just to see what all the fuss is about. I’m so thankful that I did because Pokémon Black 2 changed my life as it got me to trying out another franchises that weren’t Mario or Sonic. I would get Mainline Pokémon Games as they released or close to launch from 2013 with Pokémon X to 2019 with Pokémon Sword. Not to mention, that copy of Pokémon Black 2 is my childhood copy that I still have to this day. Pokémon has shaped me to my love of JRPGs and I’m very thankful that the franchise is still going strong with Pokémon Legends Z-A coming in 2025. Also This is an awesome collection of Pokémon Games you have Cooper. The only one that you’re missing is Regular Pokémon Shield (Not the DLC Variant). Either way Great Collection as always Cooper.

I was already older when Pokemon came. My roots in gaming are in Arcade Game Halls, flippers, Intellivision and Atari 2600 period. Of course, nowadays I play with PS5, PS4, Xbox One and other consoles. And it is always great to learn gaming kind of things belonging to all various gaming systems. Of course, I later found Game Boy Color at the flea market and there was Pokemon Blue belonging to the deal.
I used to play the games on a red Game Boy Color, don't remember what gen, but i think it was 1998. I also used to collect the cards. When i got older, i grew out of them and gave them to a kid my mom babysat. I went to see the first movie in theatres for my birthday (7 or 8, i can't remember i was born in 93 lol). From what i can tell youre missing detective pikachu on 3ds, detective pikachu returns on switch, new pokemon snap on switch, pokepark wii and a bunch of japanese exclusive stuff like pokemon stadium 1, pokemon card gb 2, pokemon tretta lab, theres a pokemon tcg ds game only in japan, and youre missing all the exclusive pokemon games for the sega pico, sega beena, and the pokemon mini. Also there was another pokemon n64 release in america it was called the stadium battle set and it was a blue console with pokemon decals. Great collection and video!!! Pokemon is my favorite franchise and thing to collect
I have both detective pikachu games, and new pokemon snap, I just missed pulling them off the shelf since alphabetically they aren't near the other pokemon games, dangit! I also don't really collect most import titles.
The only one i don't see is Green. I have a small Mew plush that has a string on its back that when you pull, it vibrates lol. The interesting part about it is that the tag on it is for Mewtwo
I bought Pokémon Blue at Electronic Boutique around the time of its release. I had no experience with the card game, and went in blind. I loved the game, more for its RPG mechanics, and the whole gameplay loop was unique at that time. I however never bought another Pokémon game(rented Snap) until the 3ds era. I never beat any of those 3ds games, but continued to buy the games just because. I hoped to one day play them, but doubt it.
My school banned cards too! I got caught with mine and my teacher took them and gave them to the principal. I couldn’t get them back until my mom went to the principal to get them. I was in 5th grade and I thought my life was over when they took those cards from me lol
I don't see the normal version of Pokemon Shield lol. Also, you should get all the normal and gold steelbooks of the Switch games if you haven't already

I got into Pokemon in 4th grade when I was 11 years old. I collected the cards and have a complete base set. They were also banned at our school. I "won" a Hitmonchan while battling a friend. He demanded the card back, but I never did give it back. That wasn't nice of me and feel guilty about it still. I also watched the anime and had my dad record it for me on VHS tapes when I was in school. I played Red, Blue and Yellow along with Snap, Stadium and Puzzle League. I lost interest after the first 150. It got to be too many for me and have mostly stuck with just the original Pokemon. I do have a few games that have some of the newer Pokemon on them, so I will never completely lose interest.
My very first exposure to pokemon was the cartoon. Watching Ash catch caterpie got me hooked. Then I found out it was a game, for the gameboy, which I had! So I worked doing whatever I could to save enough money to buy my game. I finally saved up my 36.99 or whatever the games cost back then and made my choice of Pokémon Blue(because it was my favorite color) even though Pokémon Red had a cool Dragon(I didn’t know any of the Pokemon names at the time). While in school(I believe I was in 7th grade at the time) my friends saw me playing and got excited cuz he played too. He knew way more then me and even though he had a gameboy pocket and I still had my original fat Gameboy we found the cable with the right attachment to trade. On my journey to collecting my 151 an uncle bought me a pack of Pokémon cards the next year I believe. Which blew my mind. I had no idea there were playing cards. My first rare was Dragonair. I later found out there were holographic cards which I had few of. But later bought the cards I wanted to get on eBay in the early 2000’s. I kept them and passed down my collection to my kids which have taken up Pokémon collecting on their own. Games, toys, cards, and random things here or there which is easy for them because it’s hard for me to say no to them when it comes to this stuff. I give them everything I wish I was able to have growing up while trying to teach them that we have to work for what we have and know that we are blessed to have what we have. Then my best friend lent me a gameboy color and Pokemon Blue and was like dude the game is really good you’ve gotta try it. Then addiction to the Pokemon games started 😂

Like to see your harbor freight drill I just got a floor jack and mechanic drawer chest during their parking lot sale lol. Love pokemon collection though I also grew up in the 90s
98 third grade went to my friends house for his brothers birthday he got Pokémon and we all sat around him and watched him play Pokémon blue on his gameboy. My brother didn’t even like Pokémon but was trying to get all 150 of the og cards. All he needed was Charizard. His friend had it and while he was looking at his friends cards his Charizard thru the little gap on the porch, and grabbed it and tried claiming he got it a few hours later. That is until his friend came back with his mom and got the card back. Mind you I was 9 my brother was 15😂

Kind of shocked you don't have the Wal-mart Heart Gold and Soul Silver editions? I have the sealed Toysrus Pikachu console set. I am a fan of Pokemon overall but don't have anywhere near as many items as you do.

I didn't get into pokemon to pokemon emerald and then I was in my early 20s or earlier and I finished it on the gba micro 😅 . I was more a yugioh fan than pokemon . I've started losing interest with the recent one has the graphics put me off but did enjoy sword and shield

I have a sealed Tiger pokedex from the 90's. Each me and my siblings got one, but one of us just never opened ours because we had no need.
