Excellent Video, Coop! Thanks for putting together and taking us on the journey. There is something so therapeutic about seeing a wall with a complete game collection. I love the White Board too. I paused and checked it out. A lot of games that I as a novice collector wasn't aware that they were SNES titles.
Im trying for a complete CIB set as well, but am way further behind! 75/721 starting from some very hard to find ones and working down. I only have 6 or 7 from your list so hopefully we dont raise prices for each other! Cant wait to see more
I knew the rest of the real pricey games were still on the list (AeroFighters, 3 Ninjas, Final Fight Guy, Incantation, Oscar and Zero Kamikaze Squirrel) ... but some of the others I'd be shocked if you find in person like Air Cavalry, Sonic Blastman 2, or any of the Raya System or Titus games. You may have to do some trading or calling in favors to other gamestores or collectors to get those. Sneaky rares like Head On Soccer or No Escape I've only ever seen cart only copies in stores, never random complete copies. Also - Buckaroo$ is one of those "final boss" style games (with Aero Fighters and Final Fight Guy usually) that people are usually missing near the end. Good luck on that one in person.
Neo Geo AES games are way too expensive they're like 1 game is worth around 20k to 30k not joking, even back than when the Neo Geo AES got release they where very expensive, forward decades later, they have not gone down but up, it's impossible unless you're willing to spend thousands of dollars.
(This came up as a recommended video) Google is definitely spying on me 😂 saw your posts on some Facebook groups the other day. Awesome collection of games 👍
@@hellig_stromno, it won’t. I’ve been collecting games for almost 20 years, and it’s only gotten more popular every year. Beanie babies lasted 2 years at best, and now nobody cares. You think people will just “get over” video games? Lol
I use to be a video game collector in sealed games decades ago, but stopped, collecting games now is just too expensive, I remember 2-3 decades ago, collecting old games was not that expensive, I brought most of my games on ebay and auction sites, back than the prices was pretty fair ok standards, but now the prices are just stupid overprice, collecting games 2-3 decades ago was simple, now everyone knows ebay and prices have just gone up. All my games I collected during the years are now packed away in boxes, I sometimes feel regret at the same time happy I had this kind of hobby.
This is something that always confuses me. People who collected decades ago complain about prices now. I get that its never fun to have the price of your hobby increase, but if you only collected because it was cheap and easy, then maybe you didn't really enjoy the main aspects of the hobby to begin with. I have been collecting for almost 20 years, and I have just as much fun today as I did when I first started. Everything changes over time, and I have adapted to those changes instead of letting them bother me. If you collected sealed games decades ago, and you aren't feeling it anymore, sell them. You missed the high point of sealed game prices a couple years ago, but they are still going to be worth a decent amount. Let someone else enjoy them if you aren't anymore.

I think the best way forward is to focus on the heavies first. I know this sucks, and that you add games very slowly, but financially it seems to be the better strategy.
When you collect for Super Nintendo, do you have a certain level of quality in mind that you always stick to? For my SNES CIB collection, the boxes can't have any creases (or at least they can have a couple that are barely noticeable).
I do not, although I am not convinced its an american release. It seems to be released in Latin American countries only. Still counts for a "North American" set, but I can see some people not including it in a full set
The majority of games I still need are already hard to find, and unless a vendor at a future convention I will be at watches my video, then raises the prices of the games I need, in hopes that I will buy them, I really don't think its a concern. The chances of that happening are probably a million to one.
Ghoul Patrol was almost $800.00 but when I checked the pricing for a complete copy it was $495.00. Guess you dont get that good of deals on certain high priced and rare games at these places?

Expensive addiction there
expensive and totally useless, real gamers knows that 90% of these games are unplayable craps, no reason at all (for a gamer) to collect them tbh.
This expensive addiction has paid all of the bills for my family, and my 5 employees for years

I’ve compiled it from various places online. I had to add Chavez and Chavez II to my list because they weren’t there
Maybe put (Snes quest ep1) in the title, easier to make a playlist!
I'll add it in after the video has been up for a bit. Shorter / simpler titles seem to do better on UA-cam
