Wouldn't it have made more sense for Jim to go back in time, retrieve the amulet and stop Bular since he still remembers everything, and he knows how to fight now so it would be a lot easier to kill Bular. Then they could've relocated the Bridge and stop Claires brother from going into the dark lands. And as you saw when Jim goes to the dark lands and makes it out, Gunmar had been released and every other event after that. So basically, if Jim had just gone back in time to retrieve the amulet then everything would've turned out fine or even better.

I really agree with you, I felt so shocked and disappointed when I saw the end of the movie, like I get if you miss the dead characters, but they themselves told Jim to move on with life, but why? I really did not like the ending. I actually thought when Jim wanted to rewind time that he would go to the beginning of the movie and not the entire series.

merlin was right jim wak weak and coudnt withstand a single swing of the decimaar blade he was not strong enuf and that little slice as a in human form wud be a rlly hard job for him but when he became troll he was able to compete the power of aaarrghh and he was able to handle the swings of gunmars heavy decimaar merlin took the right choice

watching this show i've seen toby I'va watched his charcters actions. all I can say is from the way toby acts the power will get to his head and he will overestimate himself, also lets not forget that because jim went back in time gunmar is no longer dead, strickler is still evil! who will save enrique? claire and jims reltaionship was so strong cause of all the things they did for eachother! it would be easy for bular to grab toby and therefore free gunmar. worst ending ever!

I like to think that after Jim left the OG timeline that timeline continued without him, building things back up and going about the rest of their lives. It’s better than the crap ending we got here Also Claire would have made a much better troll hunter that toby and I’m sure that Jim could have made that happen, just saying

I want to have loved to seen Claire as the troll hunter and her troll form and she could literally become a hybrid of a wizard and a troll any human or Dixie could make a new set of changelings and they don’t have to have a familiar connection. I’m gonna be honest. Something tells me Guillermo Del Toro didn’t write this movie. Someone in the writers room went behind his back and said, “hey guys, screw Del Toro. Why don’t we have an ending that resets everything, and we make Toby the Trollhunter” I was genuinely pissed when I saw the ending. It left me with so much anger than I had to sit in my living room after watching just to process what the hell I just watched, and than go on pretending that it didn’t happen. And I still don’t. I hate this movies ending, and at this point, people writing fan fictions of the show probably have written better endings than this dumpster fire that completely eviscerated the story of Tales of Arcadia.

Alright People there I have came up with an Idea which makes a new ending for Trollhunters rise of the titans that continues the franchise (You may not like what I will say first but it will be worth it) so In the final Battle (Before this Strictler survives) Jim is in the epic Battle with Belrock as he does defeat her but he has to use all of his trollhunter strength and power as he defeats her in result Jim dies as Claire mourns as well as the others soon the scene is cut to Jim's grave where everyone is gathered around to mourn over the Trollhunters death then a black screen shows 1 month later Jim's grave is there with a flower finally wilted as the ground shakes a hand has gotten out with a menacing voice saying You will rise as the screen goes black this will open a nwew possible outcomes with the franchise continuing with Jim as a Antagonist this was helped by Chat gpt (Write for Me) let me know what you think

I get what your saying but heres a thought What if jim wasn't the inteded champion for the amulet Heres another thing the only thing we know about the amulets champion is that he can walk between both worlds not that its has to be jim specifically Also we only saw one of the many scenarios of what could happen in that episode and it was draal who picked it up I do agree tho that the ending still sucks but its one of those endings that a bit more story behind it will go a long way
