Shout out to the great blow job! 😂
A master at work!
A corker of a week. Long may it continue like this 👍
Cheers, Mark!
That’s so cool would love to do bushy parkrun
Honestly, getting a pretty big pb in a race you were using as a training run is great. You are already half way there with more to give! Well done!
Cheers, Carl!
Well done for jogging to a PB 👍😁
Haha 💀
Excellent run and you know there's more there. A great place to be 👏
Cheers, Dean!
You don't have to rinse yourself at every race. You had identified this as a training race. It didn't look the sort of course to leave everything out there. That's Telford. This is progress.
Good advice, thanks! “Full send” Telford, for sure, haha!
Great video and commentary, thank you so much for the mention, 30 seconds is loads to knock off 🥳🥳
What a lovely place Stratford is. I especially enjoyed the finish - which the Insta360 helpfully didn’t capture - even with Sam pushing the pace… Cheers for making the video last year. Very helpful!
@ no problems, next time you'll just have to get Sam to overtake you sooner 😂😂 on my go pro I normally lower the resolution to 1080 30fps when racing to make the battery last longer, do you have the ability to do that on yours or is it already set to that 😅😂
This Insta360 Go 3 situation is a whole thing. I need to return it for a new one. I think I’ve burned the battery out of it by having it constantly plugged in as a webcam for work… I get around 16 minutes recording (no matter the settings) when it’s supposed to be double. Returning soon!!
@@Mack.Tracks 32 minutes doesn't sound great either 😅😂
@ 🙈
Nicely done, Mack. Glad to hear that Mrs A. is recovering and improving. Congrats on the 10k 🎉
Cheers, Mark! Hope all is well with you and yours ❤
Excited for the race video 🔥🔥
It was my first time in Stratford - criminal, I know - so it made the finish extra special. Sun came out, too!
Those socks will get you the PB you desire, more crazy the socks the faster youll run, it's what everyone says aha. You just got me to actually make my plan for Telford so I don't know whether to be pleased or diappointed now 🤣🤣
I'm looking forward to seeing the earlier waves shoot off. I'm sure you'll be zooming, whatever the plan!
@@Mack.Tracks I'll be at the back of the zoomers in wave 1 😅😂
My 5k just 23:40 45 year Old July 2024 I hope in 2025 under 22 - 21minute before 46 year Old🤗
That's epic! Just gotta keep chipping away!
❤❤❤
Hope to see you at Telford. I'm in Wave 2. Dawn in Wave 3.
Fingers crossed for good conditions. Will be good to bump into you two!
I have one of those generic watch straps too 😮 wouldn’t want that to happen on a dark night 🌙
I think it was a bit of a freak accident. I’ve tried yanking on the strap and I can’t get it loose. Might play it safe for elbows-out races, though, haha!
Running the forbidden terrain aroound Worcester Woods! Naught Naughty! haha, Great to see Jaz back out :)
Haha! On the bright side, the swampiness lessens the impact for Jaz...
Excited to see how this plans out in the series, see you at the start line in December 🫡
Ah, awesome! It'll be good to catch you there!
Great to see Jaz back out running again after the long injury spell. Great work on the 10K training start, no better feeling than a training block!
Cheers, dudey! Looking forward to hearing about your 10K plans soon… 🏃🏻
What a star. Xx
Massice achievement, how you only have 300 subscribers is beyond me 🙌👀
Haha, thank you!
Hey, YT algo served up your video - seems we're on similar trajectory - same 5k pb, and about to start a 10k pb block to mid December. I've just finished half marathon training having done Glasgow on Sunday. My 10k pb is 44:17 while going out at HM training speed. Feels like it's probably a bit lower on my current shape but I'm aiming for sub 41 at the end of this block. Interesting you're on a BP plan too - first ever marathon was off the back of the BP training plan - quite enjoyed it, but found I wasn't getting faster after 2nd / 3rd attempt. Going full Norwegian for my block, high aerobic training with minimal anaerobic and all easy in Z1 instead of Z2. It brought my HM time down 8 mins, so sticking with it. All the best, will be following along !
I've definitely seen a big benefit from Z1/Z2 over the previous year and, ultimately, it's what I'm happiest doing. This 10K training block will take me away from that, but I fancy experimenting a little... Congrats on your progression!
You did 44 in July and have been running 60k for a few weeks? I'll say it now: You'll easily smash that 42 goal in 10 weeks
Haha, I appreciate the confidence! I felt pretty invincible during my sub-44 and got great energy from moving through the packs. Hopefully something I can emulate in December...
@@Mack.Tracks you'll be fine, just keep heart rate under your threshold for the first 5k and then give it all you got
Thanks for the shout out. As things turned out we'd have had a better time on the canal near Worcester. I fact fun fact Dawn has an ancestor who was a bargeman on the River Severn at Worcester.
Ah, I’m gutted for Dawn. Hopefully she’s feeling better! Looking forward to hearing what’s next, when she’s ready, of course. ❤
No bell on the canal 🤔…. Probably because you’ll have it to yourself all winter 🥶 Hope the bug has passed. Good luck with the 10k training. Telford is fast 💨
Haha, no bell just yet! Cheers!!
Thanks for this. Having just done the Chester on Sunday, I've been looking for a challenge before I start training for Manchester. Telford is local, so going to give 44mins a go. My PB is 47 so it might be a challenge. Might see you there!
Ah, awesome! How did Chester go? I've heard good things about Telford, though it sells out fast. Still room in the third wave, thankfully!
@@Mack.Tracks Chester went well thanks. 3:55, so under 4hrs... 15 years after my first marathon. I'm pretty happy. Telford sounds promising and I'm a fan of the ParkRun there. A nice speed block before Marathon training will suit me well. Trying Garmin Coach for a change too 🤔
Ah, congrats on the 3:55! Well, time to flip things on its head for 10K training, haha…
10 weeks to get your 10k down to 2 times your 5k seems quite reasonable. Not sure the boring speed loops near your house sound like the most fun so hopefully the floods stay away. I've got my first ever marathon on 24th Nov at Oulton Park.
Hopefully I can get a 5K time trial in at the next parkrun... Should give me a better idea! Oooh, a racing circuit marathon! How has training been going?
@@Mack.Tracks training has been a bit weird, as I did races at 5k then 10k, and have a half later this month, so not as many really long runs as a proper marathon plan 😬
That start though 🍃 you were GONEE aha, you definitely have a PB in you that's for sure 🔥🔥
Might save the sprint finish for the actual finish next time…
@@Mack.Tracks😂😂😂
'I was like an amateur Brett!!' 🤣🤣🤣 well done Mack.
Thanks, haha!
Did it yesterday, loved it! Tried the out and back route once and never went back
Yeah, I’m glad they managed to find a new route. Much better!
Solid effort, you done well. Where did you get your medal running board behind your chair?
Cheers! I use a random metal pegboard that I got off eBay 😎
Well done Jaz, run/walk is a great strategy when re-starting your running journey! I am having to do the same and therefore feel your pain. 😊. You did great!
Thanks for the support, John. Wishing you the best!
It seems unnecessarily strict that you can't take shortcuts 😂 Well done both 👍🏃♂️🏃♀️
Cheers, Mark!
Amazing efforts all round, we definitely need to get some Worcester races in the calendar for next year, loving the Halloween style tops aha
Worcester City Runs is especially good! The shirts are certainly something… 😅
Well done Jazz you did amazing it takes strength to dust yourself off and go again well done 🎉
Thanks, James!
What a brilliant achievement. Go go go Mrs Ashworth. ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks!
Jaz dropping a sub 20 5k pace on the final sprint 👏🏻 Wonderful to see ❤
It was awesome to see and I'm so glad I captured it. A legendary finish straight for many!
5:27 that finish is fantastic 💪🏻
Huge moves by the Jaz! Thanks for watching!
Great running fellow Lonely Goat 🐐 Well done on a lovely team effort 😊 Quick question Mack… how did you get Vaga to make a cap with the exact BPJ colours 😁
Thanks, Rachel! Haha, I really did strike gold with that Vaga colourway!
Great running Jaz! 🎉
You too, Chris!
🫣🫣
🎉🎉
Glad to see no lasting damage from your 100k 😊
My relationship with Soreen suffered most 🙄
@@Mack.Tracks 🤣
Amazing effort dude! Running my first marathon this month (don’t know what’s going to happen). Give me a shout if you ever need someone to shoot content and help you as a crew!
Ah, fantastic! Good luck with the marathon!
Thanks for the PLodacast shout out Mack! 😎 - Also, the "my foot, not my shoe - that would be magic" line had me bent over! 😂
Haha, cheers for the long run entertainment!
Good one. All the kool kids are focusing on 10ks rather than marathons this autumn and winter. See you at Telford. I'm in the B race in my annual attempt not to finish last.
I’ll definitely be feeling the “FOMO” when the marathon videos drop!
Very sensible, slow comeback after the big run, Mack. Not every runner is so patient! I've gone from ultra in May to running a recent 5k and 10k. Quite enjoying the literal change of pace. Good luck with the 10k stuff 👍
Ah, that’s good to hear. Just getting a 10K training plan together and then the grind can begin 😅
Nice one and saw the actor who played Nick Cottonin Eastenders half way through, marshaling.
Ah, I did wonder why people were taking selfies with him. That explains it!
Congratulations
Cheers!
I have run at Bushy at Christmas time on a few occasions and that usually gets around 2500 people, this really was massive. Not only was it the 1000th ParkRun but a unique event, Bushy is the first place it was held. A number of folk put it on their bucket list. The organisers did a fantastic job. There was twice the usual number of volunteers and they all did a remarkable job, the younger ones seemed to be really happy to help out. The rolling start was as good as you could hope for with the number of folk. We had a few droplets of rain and that was it, the hardest bit was trying to keep a bit of space so you didn’t bump into another person. I went with my brother and we got separated, I made a point of following the runners with the gold helium number balloons as a target. The horizon was a bit hard to focus on so this kept me going, my brother was not too far behind and we both finished together. The actual funnel was a bit confusing but it worked ok. It took a while to be processed at the end but nobody complained, the small children I saw seemed to take it easy. A couple in front of us had a baby and there wasn’t and grumbles or the like. The race director made a point of saying the volunteers were doing a cracking job and they all went the extra mile. I did say to my brother the time was not important but the day itself was a great example of how ParkRun is successful. It was a day to remember and one that won’t be forgotten for a very long time.
Ah, I was around the 1,000 balloons as well. I think we must have been close to one another.
@@Mack.Tracks I wasn’t sure if there was a specific colour so I wore my apricot top. A few others had a similar idea, the start was a bit dusty but it soon worked out well. Them helium balloons really made it easier as I had something to keep me going.
Just mental 😮
It certainly exceeded expectations!
glad I ran it quickly, straight through the funnel, I would have left if I had to queue
I’ll definitely be sprinting through for Bushy 10000
