Nicely done, but I just can't tolerate with all that hidden rust left behind untouched. It's great for Sunny California or something similar, but if I'd drive the thing where I live it'd rust through all around in 2-3 years because humidity+winter+road salt.

I’m learning to weld for a truck restoration project. My biggest question here, should I be learning to TIG weld or is MIG adequate?? I noticed you use both here and it looks like you know what you’re doing…

What gauge is that metal? What is the thickness when finished? Seems like all that slapping and grinding would make the metal very brittle and would eventually crack.

Why do you prefer TIG over MIG? Just see most people use MIG... maybe because it's more accessible/cheaper and requires a lower skill level? Obviously, TIG works for you. Mad skills.

Nice idea with the modeling clay! I imagine it works great as long as there isn't a bad high spot. Kind of an unusual choice on the roof but I'm interested to see how it looks when it's done. Really am a fan of that year Thunderbird!
