    Are you running the stock master cylinder just got a set of tons and people have been tellijg me i need to up grade to the 1 ton boosted system

      Thanks for watching. When I put the Dana 60s in I put rear disk on witch are ¾ ton front Chevy brakes, replaced the stock proportion valve with one for rear disk. At that time it would lock up the rear brakes first so I add another they call adjustable proportion valve (but would lower pressure to the rear), after the factory proportion valve to the rear line. I ran that way for a lot of years then replaced the master cylinder with one from a 3500 and noticed no difference in the braking performance. That is all I changed so I still have vacuum brake booster. People have told me the same and I am happy with the way it is now stopping is very good. I am a big guy but I think the vacuum booster is doing a good job to

    Hello. I have a 5th gen with 5 inch lift. I’m using the 6 inch links like yours but I feel like I have to much of an angle. Should I reverse the adapters like you did?

    Why did you install upside-down

    • @offroadguy9020
      @offroadguy9020 4 місяці тому

      The reason I installed it upside down is I have 4 inch lift and got 6 inch sway bar links to swing the sway bar toward the front to give the links a better angle away from the springs. If you watch the video I did called "lift using" you will see what I am talking about the links are very close to the springs and I also wanted to shift the axle forward some with the adjustable long arms to get the tires more room away from the cab

    I had a similar issue with my Cummins with a 4" lift and the only track bar that I could find that would resolve the situation was a Carly adjustable track bar. Synergy does make a nice T style steering kit minus the track bar. Almost 3 years now and still solid as a rock. No issues at all. Keep up the good work.👍

    Hey brother that track bar bolt is sliding in that hole. Watch it on a slower speed and you will see that it is not completely tightened to compress the metal to the joint. I'm trying to track down why I've got a dead spot in my steering on my 2nd gen. I've COMPLETELY upgraded my whole steering linkage with Synergy, EMF ball joints, new adjustable DT PRO FAB track bar, upgraded to a PSC steering gear box, I mean the whole nine yards and still have quite a bit of a dead spot. Will try to track it down this weekend. Thanks for the video.

    I think someone bought that rope and then returned it with a fake rope inside if someone returns something on Amazon and it is in an unused state, or never used they will resell it as new. And no one caught the fact that it wasn’t a true authentic rope. It was replaced with a fake one. People do that all the time even in big box doors, like Walmart, target, etc..

But I did used to work in retail, and I still have friends that work at Home improvement stores and other stores. And yes that happens more than you think. And people will buy new tools and or parts, in return the old ones and try to get their money back. And or, buy cheaper parts and return them and try to buy namebrand as an exchange.

  • @rite2beararms

    Surprising, they do well. I mean snow is one thing, but ice is the problem usually with a tire that has minimal siping. I ran 38" TSL's once and they were the worst thing I've ever experienced on ice. After an ice storm I got stuck on a 5% grade in 4wd until i slid far enough over to find some sand. Plus they would flat spot after parking overnight in the cold.

    • @offroadguy9020
      @offroadguy9020 10 місяців тому

      The TSL you had sound like bias ply and are not good on snow and ice and I won’t run bias. I went wheeling in the snow with a guy who had 38 inch bias and I had 37 inch radials almost the same truck and I was pulling him out a lot. There is a bit of built in sipping

    • @rite2beararms

    I put 50,000 miles on a set of 35" M16's on my FJ Cruiser, which was my daily driver. On the road they were great and lasted much longer than I thought they would. They have a little bit of a hum on the road, but its not going to drive you crazy. Rolling resistance on the road was surprisingly minimum as the tires seem perfectly round. Keeping them balanced is important. When they are new they love to pick up rocks on gravel roads and when they are worn down to 50% of remaining tread life the traction on wet roads decreases slightly. They are great in the snow and mud. The ride harshness isn't any worse than BFG Goodrich all-terrain tires and they feel solid at 80 mph on the highway. The sidewall lugs definitely work offroad for traction and provides protection from rocks. They look much better in person and I would see people checking them out at red lights all the time. If you're looking for a tire that's between a mud tire and an all-terrain tire these are the one's to get. I will be buying these tires again.

    I don’t care how strong the manufacturers say a trackbar is, if you design a bend into it, that is going to induce a bending moment place to start. If the bar was able to be poker straight? Then there would be no flexing going on.

    I have had the Spyntec kit since late 2019. Ended up needing new bearings in May of 2021 and again a few weeks ago. I do not see how it is possible to repack the bearings without pressing them out. Not sure what kind of mileage I should be getting out of them but it doesn't seem like enough. Does your wheel sound like it is dragging when you spin it? Mine is dragging so it is either the brakes or the bearings were not installed correctly this time. I have a high pitch noise up front that gets worse with heat. Do the Dynatrack hubs still use the Inner and Outer spindle nut with the spacer in between? Just thought I would share my experience.

    • @offroadguy9020
      @offroadguy9020 2 роки тому

      When you say press them out you mean take a part? I agree if there is a dragging sound you either have a caliber sticking or some bad wheel bearings. good thing you have the spyntec kit because bearing are on the cheaper side and bearings should last at least a 100,000 miles when greased and installed properly. I think yes the dynaloc hub keeps the inner hub nut, lock ring is what I think you mean, and outer hub nut.

    Interesting. Didn't know they made a flat splicer. My old winch line had the single bury with lock stitch & worked fine for about 10 years till it snapped farther towards the middle of the line. You should taper the end so it doesn't have a sharp transition from 2 ropes to one for full strength.

    • @offroadguy9020
      @offroadguy9020 2 роки тому

      The quick answer is under the bed on the passenger side. The long answer is I bought a Viair setup witch was suppose to run air tools it had two compressors and I bought the compressor mounting brackets and sandwiched the brackets around a pedestal that is part of the bed that mounts the bed to the frame. They would not run air tools so I bought a ARB CKMTA12 to add to the system. I made a plate to mount the compressor to and mounted the plate to the bottom of the bed, to the bed frame rails that support the bed floor. To not have the compressors sucking water and moisture all the time I ran the air intakes to the highest point under the hood.

I talked to Patrick at Thuren and he specifically told me that the Thuren steering would not be the best choice for my application and agreed the Synergy would be. This is because I use my truck primarily in mud. Thuren uses heim joints and are impossible to keep clean enough to not wear out quickly when used in mud. MOAB?
