Hey brother that track bar bolt is sliding in that hole. Watch it on a slower speed and you will see that it is not completely tightened to compress the metal to the joint. I'm trying to track down why I've got a dead spot in my steering on my 2nd gen. I've COMPLETELY upgraded my whole steering linkage with Synergy, EMF ball joints, new adjustable DT PRO FAB track bar, upgraded to a PSC steering gear box, I mean the whole nine yards and still have quite a bit of a dead spot. Will try to track it down this weekend. Thanks for the video.
txs for this ... now i'm glad i didn't get any of these fancy aftermarket steering upgrades and instead scrounged junkyards until i found a 98 2500 that still had it's HD factory T steering intact ...
I don’t care how strong the manufacturers say a trackbar is, if you design a bend into it, that is going to induce a bending moment place to start. If the bar was able to be poker straight? Then there would be no flexing going on.
The synergy steering is good except their joints don't last much longer than oem. I installed EMF Tie-rod Ends and just installed a Thuren track bar. The synergy trackbar is too flexible and their DDR bushings are garbage.
If someone made cast iron track bars for that year it would have less flex. It also looks like the bushing in the axle side has play movement the bolt head looks like it moved also is that torqued to spec ? Also synergy updated that tie rod end for less articulation to solve the drag link hitting the tie rod
Offroad guy I torqued track bar bolts to 225lb if it’s not that tighten it to 225lb and the instruction photo you showed had the Previous design tie rod and the new updated one you have now that’s what they updated
@@offroadguy9020 They updated the tie rod on the drag link opposite of the pitman arm, they made it into a single plane tie rod so it won't rock or flop forward like the original tie rod allowed.
I'm installing the same kit on my 06 now. Did you use a wrench on the jam nut for the p/side tie rod? I've heard a 33mm wrench works on it but jeeze I'm wondering how you get the 300lb feet they call for in the instructions. Also did you adjust your drag link then take it back off to torque it? Thanks,
I did not take is off. I think you meant the large nut on the drag link I just used two of my large wrenches and tightened it as tight as I could but it did loosen up a couple of times if I find is loose again I am putting loctite on it
@@cocobean7391 Speaking for myself, I got sick of buying steering linkages from parts stores and the center link constantly bending. Tie rod ends constantly wearing out with just 33's which aren't an awful big tire for a 3rd gen ram. Mine was around $550 4yrs ago. I also bought the kit for my 07 ram 3500 last year I figured buy once cry once. I don't like it but I'm sick of crappy guaranteed parts where it's get painful just having to remove the parts for the guarantee... I sold that 2500 to my cousin's boy 3yrs ago and the steering is still tight. I know he's been off road a lot with it as well.
There is for sure side to side movement of your track bar, not saying what everyone already knows.

Have this on a dodge ram lifted. Lock tight everything. Make sure you put the joints on the right ends, because they will screw in on opposite sides.

How is it holding up after a Year? I have heard a lot of different reviews... Thanks for sharing...

How's it been since installing? This video was helpful I appreciate you showing it functioning.
that track bar is weak bending

Yes torqued to spec. I would expect some play due to the rubber flexing. DO you know what synergy updated?

does the drag link at the pitman arm install on top like that? They are on the bottom of most
On my year truck is dose. I looked on Synergy web site they show a truck on the 2013 and up and it is the same.
I think the diff moves back and forth as much as my stock front end. are you getting death wobble like that ?
No death wobble at all and the roads here are more prone to do it.
Offroad guy that’s great to hear.

Use a crow's foot on the end of a 300 lb torque wrench.
I used a crows foot and a cheater bar. It's been good. Thanks, happy new year.
Is this kit worth the 1000 bucks

looks like a damn nice HD kit
It seems like a nice kit time will tell. I do like that it is greaseable.
How much play does she have on the road
It has none.
