🤍❤️💙 The NEW Tecnifibre T-Fight 305S 🤍❤️💙 In-Depth Racquet Review
The Tecnifibre ISO 305 was one very difficult but amazing racquet if you could hone it in. The massive swing weight was always a problem for the general user however. Tecnifibre have heard the community and sought to make a change to fix that problem - but will it affect it for the good or the bad?

HEAD PRESTIGE MP Graphene 360 Racquet Review | Modern Day Classic?
Hi mate, you ever tried the ultra pro?
@@TomSmith-il6pz I have the V3 16x19 review on my channel, the V4 will play the same, looks much nicer though
@@ACTennis 🙏 thanks, will watch now
So they took one of the unique and exciting racket on the market and made it played like dozens of other 98-inch rackets in the industry, destroying the entire identity of the series. Good job Tecnifibre!
Technically all their racquets have looked the same every generation lol
@@ACTennis actually I've meant specs. Old 305s were special because of what they offer to the players. High sw - nearly hh balance - consistent as a truck were signature for 305s but with this generation it seems a like random stiff 98 inch racket
@@mustafa_sakalli Apart from the stiffness, it actually plays very well for what it is, i'd use it if it didn't come with the grip shape and didn't hurt lol
Lots of explanation and comparison. Definitely if you have any doubts about which one to choose, this is the moment for you to decide. The best review video!
It wasnt clear when you compared with the blade versatilitywise what kind of grips fit the blade well.. with an eastern grip which would you say is a better fit? I currently use a vcore 100 but wanted more control so I was wondering about the gravity tour.. But in many reviews ppl say that the blade 16x19 is a better pick overall.. I would be more inclined to the gravity because I am a Head fan but I am unsure since I am not able to test so I need to research carefully
+ the mass at the top is fine since Im coming from a vcore
The Blade is a better racquet for the majority of people, the GT98 is going to be not as forgiving as people think, and it will require very high racquet head speed consistently to maintain the best control Blade fits better with an eastern or light semi western grip, targets more flatter hitting, but you can add a bit more height to it just by coming underneath the ball, it just won't be as high spin potential as GT98
AC: I narrowed my search down to either the new Ezone 100 or 98… Im curious: if you had to select either one of these two rackets in stock form for match play, which would you choose? Being only a 4.0 old school senior, most are recommending the 100… but , I like whippy, and the 98 is more whippy… But I need help with power, too… and the 100 has more power. Tough decision! Best, John
I would not intend to be the final decision maker because i've never seen you hit, so i mean, if you can demo them you should - i most likely have totally different preferences
Any thoughts on trying out the newer Pure Strike 98? I know in your somewhat older videos, you said you were highly looking forward to the PS update and was wondering if you've tried it out and if so, how you feel it compares to this G98 Tour?? Amazing review BTW!!!
I demoed it, wasn't too keen on the high swingweight and it has a much less speedy beam style than the T-Fight ISO 305 that came in a similar swingweight, so that was immediate put off - I preferred the Gen 3 alot more - was hoping they were gonna do a black colour way like the VS and Gen 1, and then refine the feel to make it better, but thought the feel was worse
Is there a way to combat the grip size? Ive noticed they feel bigger im a size 4 3/8, considered leather grip cause i want it head light
They come half a size bigger, and it's masked more by the fact they use a thinner replacement stock grip, so if you were to put on any regular grip from another brand , it would feel a whole grip size bigger Personally i would go one size down and then use a thick leather or something
RS and ISO(the old models) refers to beam shape and flex difference throughout the hoop. But what does "S" stand for in the new version(300S, 305S, 315S)? Great review btw.
It doesn't really make much sense - they have not clarified it clearly But it definitely looks to have something to do with the headsize being 98, as they are also releasing lightweight ranges for 100 sqin that doesn't have the S I read somewhere it stood for "small" lol don''t know how true that is, but it's still a way for them to differentiate this new lineup since every generation had a moniker to it like you said - XTC, ISO, RS, Dynacore
Interesting! Would love for u to compare it with new whiteout, since maybe they fall in the same category
New whiteout will play pretty much the same with a more softer and muted feel i imagine, don't know if i can get around to testing that unless they send me one, too many releases this period - i did review the whiteout 16x19 in Power 98s comparison
Coach Alex, thanks for the helpful video. I’m a 4.0 senior singles player ( OHB, mostly flat, some spin, moderate racquet head speed, compact strokes, great touch) who is moving on from my Shift 99 prototype ( some arm sensitivity)… Here are the racquets that were recommended for me to try: New Ezone 100 ( may try the EZONE 98, too), the new Clash 100 Pro and the Percept 100D. I Y O, which do you think would be a good fit for m style? Best, John
Would you take the t fight over the blade 100?
Totally different racquets for different players, i would suit the Tfight more
The current Regna was released in 2022. So at 89...........
The Regna i reviewed came out in 2019, 2nd generation not 3rd, so i wouldn't count that firstly, also the overall ratings just fall as they may, doesn't mean it's the best 'performance' racquet, it is very unique though
It’s almost perfect, except for its retail price of $400.
@@chenli8423 Lol to be fair, Ezones are like 430 AUD now
its same stifness for arm as the previous t fight or worst?
The stiffness rating seems to be lower, but it is way more harsh on the arm
Thank you so much for this review!! How would you compare 100D to a Head Gravity Tour (2023)? In terms of playability, access to power, etc
100D is easier to swing, has better stability, Gravity Tour will have alot more put away power but harder to move around if you arent used to it
Oh yeah he’s back baby!! Most in depth racket nerd on UA-cam. Love itttt🤩
Gahhh that comfort issue threw and ice cold bucket of water on my desire to test it. Sensitive shoulder and elbow here.. wondering what you made of the whiteout v2 in this sense? I always steered clear from the v1 due to so many negative reviews around comfort
@@brunis_m Havent tried the v2, v1 was fine for me with a good soft setup , but it was 16x19, could be different for 18x20 New V2 i hear is more muted and no feel, i assume to counter the complaints you said
have bee watching your review for years, great cotent! Thought this one would compare to strike 98 rather than the aero 98, is that bc Tfight has higher spin potential than strike?
@@frankfranky8624 Yep last one and this one have massive spin compared to Strike - Gen 3 strike could access some great spin but it doesn't swing so easily in the way you need to generate it, you need to be very strong But last ISO played way too heavy in comparison to Aero 98, so this one speed and manoevurability edges it must closer
@@ACTennis thx for the comment! looks like this one definitely worth a demo🎾
Great review as always! Did you get to try the new TFight 300 at all? Curious if it is easier or harder on the arm than the 2022 version.
@@wscarthy Nah , Tecnifibres have always been expensive so im only looking to try the main one im interested in - but my buddy Dandan tennis on YT just posted a review on the 300 TF 98 and even he says it felt pretty stiff
How is the twistweight compared to the 2022? Hopefully its not a case of the pure aero 98 where they decreased the SW but made twistweight higher to compensate, but if its the same or less, this would be the perfect tennis racquet. A heavier twistweight would effectively cancel out the lowered swingweight during actual hitting, why the pure aero 98 despite being only 325SW is actually really tiring to swing after a while. That '22 version was the perfect racquet for me just minus the heavy SW, to consistently hit good on 338 SW for anything sub 5.0 USTA especially after a set or 2 becomes considerably harder. By making it more of a platform racquet where you can increase the SW to 330 would make this perfect.
@@Chigchigg Stability is lower , but the racquet is very fast, even if you bump up the SW at 12, it remains fast I dont have the briffidi TW adaptor, the old way of measuring is not supposed to be accurate, but how it plays feels like lower TW yep
@@ACTennis Damn then this very well would already be racquet of the year, especially if you get a even lighter than the current spec one for even more customization. Too bad Tecnifibre makes modification as hard as possible though despite themselves admitting its going to be more of a platform racquet. Last question really just have for you is how well does it modulate spin? I do feel like people concentrate on spin potential too much especially in reviews, where as spin access and modulation should be considered since youre not always going to be able to hit top spin rate on every shot.
New TF305 or new Ezone 98?
If i continue to have concerns for comfort personally, i have to go with EZ98 - but playability wise TF is preettty nice
Does this compare directly with the Radical Pro? Both seem quite good for flatter hitters + serve, yet versatile.
@@plebcake Radical Pro is more like a Prestige , but where the Pretige is flexy and lots of ball pocketing, Radical Pro is more crisp and direct , but both are low power control frames This one is more like an a Blade with big spin
Just bought the last model on sale just to try, only had one hit and it feels a bit strange with it feeling light on the take back then heavy on the drop..feels beautiful on contact though especially when you give it the beans
Last one was very good , great time to get it with the price - French brands dont play with the price premiums lol
Tfight or v9 blade which you prefer please and why ? You said v9 was more stable than tfight before right
@@Bambotb Tfight by far is better in many categories, more specifically spin, but yes Blade is more stable But grip shape is bad for me, not a fan, could ruin your experience if your grip doesnt line up well - also comfort seems to be an issue with this one judging from my own experience and a few others ive spoke to
I have a iso305 2022 and i love it! I use 6g in the handle to make it more headlight and to make the OHBH easier... I think this new one is already more headlight, so, maybe the change doesn't make sense, right? I can handle the 2022, but of course more manuverability would be fine lol... thanks for the review!
@@murilo3123 If it works for you already, of course no need to change 🙂 i like the feel of the ISO aswell
Yonex ezone 98 2022 or tf 305 iso 2022, which one you prefer better? I would say by the points you gave for each racquet that you prefer tf 305 :)
@@aqvarius27 Comfort is important and grip shape also - EZ98 beats that in both categories lol, if i had to play a match it might just be the EZ98
Ok, than finaly can i ask which racquet beats ezone 98 in your opinion? Which one is better in terms of serving, hitting from baseline and playing voleys if that is not case with tf 305?
To clarify - if you like stiff racquets and can handle stiff frames, this is an excellent feeling racquet, so don't let it deter you from trying it because of what I said about comfort. I am just heeding a warning to those who already have known problems, this one can potentially be a problem. But i am trying other string setups and see how it goes for comfort and i'll update some comments here 🙂.
yeah it is not out of the question, i have an ezone 100 that i use occasionally with a full bed of multi at 45 lbs but after a 10 year battle with golfers elbow i shy away from stiff racquets. My elbow is like a tuning fork and i can tell almost immediately if a racquet will cause problems since most demos are strung with poly. I have used a vcore 98 2023 with multi at 45lbs and have been fine for the past 6 months. Stiff racquets are tempting because of the increased accuracy but being healthy to play is paramount :). I like that the new ezone 98 has a low RA and i hope the trend with manufacturers keeps heading that way.
Very much want to like this racquet but as someone who gets some wrist soreness, I might have to heed the warning you heeded to us.
@@The4.0Guy Honestly would feel half decent with full multi, but i would destroy that in 10 minutes with how much spin and string movement that this is capable of - low tensions like , like 40 and lower on full poly reduced alot of any shock
@@davelee6002 Yeah look it's listed at 63 RA, not sure how accurate the reading is, but i've heard now from at least 3 other people say the Tfight is stiff feeling
@ACTennis how often do you restring your poly? I have heard even though it loses tension old poly is harder on the arm?
@ACTennis 2022 TFight ISO 305 vs 2025 TFight 305 VS 2022 Solinco Whiteout 305 XTD 18X20; any insights from memory playing with all three?
Never tried the Whiteout 18x20 in standard or XL, just the 16x19 But the whole video is a comparison of the ISO 305 and new T-Fight lol
@@ACTennisthanks for your reply... I know lol, I am interested to know because many testimonials I've read including reviews suggest the Whiteout 305 XTD 18X20 should be comparable and I do have the 2022 tfight 305 and currently wondering which of the other two I mentioned might I prefer more (I can't playtest either)
@@dbekia The balance would be wildy different i think for the ISO 2022 vs White out, White out is generally very fast, but using XTD version may or may not be a long term good thing , depends because you sound like you dont use XTD standard? so i probably wouldnt jump to it if you never played with one and you cant demo Whiteout 18x20 would be more safer option, just note that comfort is also a known issue with that, but the shape of the Whiteout is very fast - also Whiteout V2 about to come out is apparently worse feeling from what im told - more muted and less feel, probably to compensate for those comfort concerns
@ACTennis weird turn of luck... I got to hit with the 2022 Whiteout 305 XTD 18X20 last night 😂, a guy was using it at the court next to mine at my club and as soon as I noticed it I felt brave enough and asked him if i could try it out as it's such a rare stick. He had two in a matched pair and was gracious enough to let me play with his 2nd one for a good 2 hours. To cut a long story short you were right in your "guestimation" regarding the balance. The Whiteout is noticeably much more headlight. The odd thing is that they "perform" (not using the word "play" instead consciously) in an VERY similar way. - The Whiteout XTD 18X20 is satisfyingly stable in a confidence inducing manner both from the baseline whenever you need to absorb or redirect pace, and at the net. - Maneuverability is also EXTREMELY similar despite the fact the Whiteout is so much more headlight, I guess mainly due to the fact that the XTD is half an inch longer but quite a quicker frame through the air as soon as you get it moving. I must point out though that with the XTD I was able to utilise more wristy quick flicks on short balls performing effective approach shots and on chip-style returns during rallies in which I was caught late more effortlessly compared to the 2022 iso 305. Timing was never an issue either, I literally didn't feel jammed-up, not even once and not at the net either! Zero adjustment period for the half inch longer grip. - Access to top spin was equally VERY GOOD and truly surprising, doesn't feel like an 18x20 at all. - Driving the ball and directional accuracy was top notch as in my 2022 iso 305. - Slice was better on the XTD, slices were sitting much lower midflight and were skidding on my opponent's side, I could also catch a high bouncing ball on my single handed backhand much more effortlessly with the XTD and turn a defensive shot into a sneaky and unexpected attack. - Serves were better on the XTD. - The sensation the frame gave out and the provided "feel" on touch shots felt very similar to the 2022 iso 305. - Comfort and feel with and without dampener were both also almost indistinguishable (XTD strung at 48lbs with champagne 1.3 HEAD Lynx tour as the guy told me and my 2022 iso 305 with YTEX quadrotwist white 1.25 at 50lbs) - Power levels were also almost identical. I know these two frames read as they should play and perform VERY DIFFERENT in paper, but ODDLY they feel and perform very similar to eachother. If you can find the 2022 Whiteout 305 XTD 18x20 I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you try it THOROUGHLY, it's a hidden gem in my opinion. I'm NTRP +4.5, 183cm and 83kg, athletic and play with a single handed backhand 😉 The XTD had 3gr of leadtape at the 12 o clock position as the owner told me and nothing else other than an overgrip and a dampener. My 2022 iso 305 has 5gr of lead tape at the 7inch point under the grip, a kimony expert thin leather grip (I don't like technifibre's grip shape either lol) instead of the stock one on an otherwise size 3 grip, an overgrip and a dampener.
I have been a huge TF fan for years and still own several TF frames. The grip shape is annoying but I’ve had success with using TPU protective tape to modify the handle shape and it’s so worth the effort.
Will give it a shot when i have some time
I was waiting for your review!
Thanks for the review. We’re spoilt for choice with these new frames coming out over summer. Easier to stick with my Blade 100 and hopefully keep improving!
@@anthonydabaco8407 You got your priorities straight 😆
Which Racket do you prefer on Clay??
I don't have a specific one for clay, i'd just use my Gravity Pro for matches - but maybe Aero 98 would be a good consideration
you prefer a 98 sq Racket instead of 100? Iam a 4,5 + player I play most from the baseline
I liked the iso 305 but the aero vs weighted up to 335 sw was better for my game maybe time to revisit?
@@lsfire3489 Wont be quite as fast on the vertical swing path, but still capable of swinging well through it
This is some of the most detailed and thorough diagnosis of a racket on UA-cam. Long but excellent. I’m impressed that you use a gravity, why wouldn’t you but I am super curious as to your level. You strike the ball very confidently and take the ball early especially for a single handed backhand but there is something odd about your body movement. Did you have an injury? Also and I mean this in the most positive way possible but have you thought of trying to engage you body more in the stroke. It may be that you could shed a few pounds to help but you have the look of an ex high level player who has embraced the good life a little too firmly. This may of course be wholly unfair as I have no idea about your medical circumstances but for someone who hits so well it seems strange in some ways that you don’t hit with more body rotation and unit turn. Just a thought but would love to know as I see this in many club players. Thx again for the great content.
Lol all good, i'm aware of the extra poundage, for a good chunk of last year i dealt with some health issues non sport related and stopped playing as much and binged - now starting to lose it bit by bit Technique and footwork wise - i have the hand eye co-ordinarion but im a self improving player that has gotten alot better self teaching since COVID, and continue to get better, so lots of things i can work on and will be a long term game of continous improvement
Looking to move away from the RF 01 Pro - that and holding a baby for the past few months has arm and elbow feeling tender. Do you think this 305 is a little easier on the arm compared to the RF01 Pro?
Wouldnt say i had any arm issues with the RF01 Pro even with Alupower, but it's got 15g static weight added in comparison , so any extra weight will help reduce that shock Stringing low if it's still controllable for you can be super comfortable on this frame though, and with 18x19 pattern, you can get away a bit more with lower tensions
Could you compare this in any way with ProStaff 97 v14?
Very different racquets - Pro staff is a low powered pure control racquet for precision and consistency , Tfight is almost Blade like with power and control but with addition of big spin
❤ oh no! You have a draw there! 😊One thing that came to my head is that you got a slightly lower stock sw. I remember my times with Angell frames and despite the very low stiffness from the design if you got one with sw around 290 unstrung the frame felt boardy. TC95 for me was only good at heavier specs. Maybe there are some places on the frame where foam is the most effective regarding the comfort and you just were unlucky. And it feels like the specs with foam filled frames are part of the whole design (harder to improve with just lead) But let’s see! :) I will drop the review probably next week after the playtest. As always your reviews are stellar.
@@dandan.tennis Can't have everything lol - 325 and 330 SW is good range, with added leather weigjt and all, it does calm it down a bit
I am currently using 66RA tc97 16*19. Ordered new ezone 98 to try; now this looks like a great candidate to try too.
I hope i am not influencing any of it directly lol
@@ACTennis you provide easily the best reviews. The potential concern i see on the 305s is its stiffness in combination of the grip shape. When not used to the grip shape i may hold it in a way that adds up to the fatigue/uncomfortableness of hitting. My experience using tf40 feels like the grip shape encourages me to use either a continental or full western grip, nothing in between.
@@chenwang6410 Absolutely correct - why i can adapt to almost any racquet is because i can change my grip between eastern, semi western and full western at will, and slightly to a lesser degree on my backhand - however even still, this shape forces me into a position i don't like, so it is a massive deal breaker for me
Would love to see how you customize the grip as now it is my no.1 issue with current iso305 which is my major racket.
I had a professional customiser do it, so can't say much for you there, it's too difficult for me, unless you happen to be a whiz designer - I stated this below for someone who asked the same -> The foam handle is hacked off, there is lead weights underneath that need to be removed - silicone was put into replace the lead weights, and then a 3d printed handle was specially made for the hairpin shape
@@ACTennis Someone suggested I replace the stock grip with Head Hydrosord Comfort, wondering if that'll work, thank you anyway, great review!
Only one question I use 2022 TFight, is it good to change?
I can't advise you for that lol - i'm not sure your level, what style you play, what you like and don't like about the 2022 Tfight, and what you are looking for in a change - it would be bad to tell you something blindly
@ACTennis thank for the response, but I find 2022 TFight less power, although good control with decent spin . But tough to maneuver. How you think now?
@ACTennis do you think TFight 2025 is easy to use now?
One of the best reviews, Again. Thank you for this.
Appreciate it!
what about tf305 vs Radical MP 😋
If you mean the Aux 1.0 Radical MP, definitely the Tfight - new one comes out soon in March, we'll see how that goes
Sounds too stiff for my arm, pass. Great review though, very thorough and legit.
I'm surprised with the RA readings on TW, not sure if they are already the proper measurements, but definitely doesn't feel like 63 RA
@@ACTennis yeah i wonder if it is something about the way that some racquets are made that is making RA a less reliable indicator of the playable stiffness? I read that a racquet with a flexible throat can give a low RA reading but if the hoop itself is stiff i may still play stiff? This is why your reviews are critical! As a guy with elbow problems i'd love it if you could indicate how given racquet plays with multi as that is my default to avoid issues now but i know there is cost and time involved.
TF305 or Gravity 98 ?
If i cannot get the grip shape customised, i would go with the GT98 personally , Tfight is going to be very good for alot of people, otherwise yep i would choose it too
Ripper review once again AC! 💪🎾💯
Appreciate it my man
Very nice, as always. Technifibre has always been quite a blind spot for me and still is. I could tell the difference between a Clash and a Pro Staff, but TF racquets are all just white and average throughout the whole range. Maybe your Reviews can help that. Not that I consider getting one, but what to expect If my opponent shows up with one of these.
I think probably the case for most people haha, but they are really starting to reel in some of the top pros, certainly getting more attention
Crushing it with the uploads
More interesting racquets coming out this year, last year was a dud - but mostly stopped due to health issues that are now gone 🙂
@@ACTennis any plans on testing the new radicals? I have a pair of the auxetic 1.0 pros and they played fine but would have liked the pros to have a 310g unstrung weight or keep the 315g but move the balance point to 310mm unstrung
Is the grip shape improved at all? It'd be cool to see a video about the process of customizing the grip shape on your previous ISO
Grip shape is the same unfortunately - original ISO wasn't done by me , was done by a professional customiser - the foam handle is hacked off, there is lead weights underneath that need to be removed - silicone was put into replace the lead weights, and then a 3d printed handle was specially made for the hairpin shape
If you can find TPU protection tape for padel racquets, you can simply cut it into small strips and raise the top & bottom sides of the handle. Worked wonders for me.
@@EGchristian neat thanks!
@@ACTennis if you have the process repeated, I still think people would be interested in seeing photos of that process. I know the funky grip shape is a barrier to a lot of us : (
@@ACTennis who did that for you? I'm in Aus so the answer is relevant to me. TL in Melbourne?
A year without updates and now he churns out videos every week! What a madlad. And a traditional question. Purchase of the January: Tfight or GT98
T-fight is easier to play with overall than GT98, but I think i could play a little more aggressive with the GT98 at it's highest power outputs, very tough choice - Maybe Tfight without the grip shape, but that is certainly a factor - still GT98 or GPro if that's the case, dead serious lol
@@ACTennis 10 more days for GT98 to be finally on sale. Jesus Christ what a wait.
@@ACTennis great review as always! Thanks. On the GT98 vs Pro, any advantages for one of them to people with a OHB?
@@ACTennis wait, are you saying the new gpro might finally unseat your gen1 gpro as your match racquet??
@@davelee6002 Nah lol, i just mean what's worth a buy for people in January Not sure if i'll get it yet, most people will get it because of the spec and the paintjob - then they'll realize how much of a weapon it is with a good spec, but i've been using a good spec for yearssss
Hello and thanks for the video! On my 2022 T-Fight Iso 300, to have more comfort I make a hybrid. I put the Razor-soft in the uprights and the x-one biphase in the crosspieces. I really love the result and I think it will be good for the 2025 version too :) @++
Definitely like X-one Biphase, but i think with the amount of spin this racquet gets, I would destroy it in 1 session, that would be very expensive 😆
