Great video brother!!
Thanks dude! You're probably thinking "put some lacquer on that damn curb" lol
@ lolol it looked like it was going pretty good already! If you guys rub brick and fix the seams of the whole thing, that curb will be amazing!
@eastcoastcurbkiller that's the plan!
No lie. Those mailboxes being there would throw me for a loop. I'd always think I'd fall into it. Nice work on that curb and happy you had a good session.
I never even considered the mailboxes being a problem lol.
He can't even get sideways. 😂
@@dataghost2307 straight facts lol
Halfcab nose is excellent. Crook is my dream trick. New curbs are always fun. We oddly don't have many curbs here in southeast North Carolina. I have thought about making a curb. We will see. Stay Rad Sir.
Thanks for these videos, Steve. :)
Thanks for watching em!
This was a COOL CHILL video MAN........ I respect the patient route on the curb instead of using lacquer . I know we're gonna see you get this nose to KROOK SOON🌏
appreciate ya dude! and most definitely i will get that damn trick
Keep shredding homie always fun to watch your progress!
Appreciate you dude. Progress might be slow, bit Progress is Progress lol. Gotta learn them hardflips next!
@@stickersteve007 heck yeah bro I’ll be watch’n when you do get it! 🤙
I need to set up a curb board again and help break that second section in
Hell yeah! Got 2 sections to prep up and break in.
@stickersteve007 my buddys 7yo daughter is always saying curb 30. So I might bring them to try out a rub brick lol
@@sonnyrico the more the merrier! (idk if thats how you spell that word lol)
The new spot looks nice. Nice work on the half cab nose and that crook. 👊👍
Yeah that curb is pretty sick! Appreciate you 🙏
i didn't realize until way later that the curb i prepped at my spot is in a low spot and takes forever to dry when it rains. it's a huge place and full of curbs, it just figures that the first spot i picked was in a less-than-ideal spot. so i prepped another, longer section but it's not as well-lit or as well-prepped.
my back has been hurting, i haven't been able to skate for almost 3 weeks 😢
That’s rough, hopefully you’re back on the board soon!
@@stickersteve007 thx, i'm feeling much better but don't want to push it by trying to skate.
@diplenski probably smart. Maybe cruise around on a cruiser board
@@stickersteve007 i can hardly walk/stand up at times, i'm in no rush. but i will def start easy when i can
is it fair to say you and dave rubbed one out? 😭
😆 we definitely did!
😂
Noseslides are on my list of tricks to have. Nice job, man
You got it! No terribly difficult. Just can be a lil scary at first
@@stickersteve007 My last video posted was on boardslides and nose ”slides”. More like nose pivots, but the idea is there. Just need more practice and then more speed
Got some good speed on them slides there pardner.
Sometimes. It's downhill BS which is nice
@ ahaaa. Well that accounts for some of it then!
steel stick the whole edge after rub bricking it. then wax it. i love that sht
Steel stick the edge? Great idea dude thanks!
@@stickersteve007 i love the way that stuff slides and grinds. im so glad i found out about it
curbin!
Tryin too
Dude it’s there!!! You’ve got the motion! On the decked curbs just think of it as a really quick dip and hop. This was a rad video!
appreciate ya checkin it out dude! you're definitely right. i gotta work on the dip/nollie motion. im just tryin to muscle into it and that aint gonna work
@@stickersteve007 I remember I used to think of a cadence in my head…I’d say boom to myself for each part of the trick lol. And no problem at all!
@@eastcoastcurbkiller that actually makes a lot of sense!
Wht the name the spray again actual name liquid lacor
Nice build! They use Baltic Birch. This looks like Birch Lauan which is a different material.
i kinda figured that out after building it
the 808 should be good for u since u want wider heel cup and some dunks experience. 480 is more like aj1s.
Shields or no shields , your bearings need lube. And dry lubes do not attract dirt.
The 480s are killing the arch of my foot. Did these feel better to you after breaking them in? I want mine to work but they are very uncomfortable
i couldn't wear em long enough to find out. they hurt my feet way to much. different insoles helped though
If Rick Owens' can go viral, these shoes can too if a mainstream celebrity wears them. Ricks look horrible, the clown shoe final boss.
The flames look as cool as flames can look on a Shoe. And I can definitely feel what you're saying - the shoe looks like it came out of a 2000s cartoon, and thats why I LOVE IT! Amazing vid for an amazing shoe from an amazing company.
I’m on my second pair now and LOVE ‘em. Only negative for me is my heel slips out constantly and can’t get the laces to look nice with also preventing heel slip. Any tips/recommendations?
hmmmm...i don't remember having problems with my heel coming out much, maybe because i have a wide ass tall foot? lace em up all the way would be the only thing i could think of
I'd be curious what you think of the new reformulated F4 97s compared to the X97s.
yeah man. When I'm stressed I'll get out on the board to just even skate to the mailbox. I go out of my mind if I can't get on my board. It is a stress reliever until I slam.
Hey man, Have you tired the McCrank twin tail board?
@mikethomson6546 thats what I'm skating basically. The 8.5 twin girl/chocolate shape
@@stickersteve007 Sold me sir. I was thinking it was the one. I need to try it for myself. We all go through bad times skating. I was nearly a pro golfer. We had a baby girl. I didn't touch the sticks for a couple months. When I went back. I struggled so much.
@mikethomson6546 lot's of ups and downs forsure. Keeps it interesting, but yeah the twin crailtap shape is my favorite I've skated
i keep a 3 set quiver nowadays. grew up on the small pops & 52mms. Daily Driver: 9.5-9.8 for my size 15(US) shoe, Indy 169s or Ace 66s(9.3in) to match the size and not too wide for coping (i wanna try Slappy or AF1s next) 1/4risers for more turn/less bite, 57-58mm/99a wheels cuz they handle better in Midwest crust and cuz i'm heavier but still love speed, Oust bearings (formally Tensor) cuz they're just a good sleeper brand, but any Bones are fine. No more G3s for me 😅I used to rly like the Swiss Labyrinth IIs 😏 Big Boi Bomber: 10in Lucero/Punk Point cuz it's big sturdy n looks rad cutting thru the wind 💨💨, 215s for stability at higher speeds, 1/2-3/8in risers for harder turns, 60mm-66mm/99a cuz they're big & wide and grip, but still slip👌🏽 Cruiser: A thinner board for me usually. Lately i figured out that all the curb eggs werk better as cruisers for me; kinda like a bigger polarizer setup. It's obnoxious tho: 9.0 egg cuz i get less wheelbite when i turn, and i can comfortably control the board from the middle (cruiser stance😉) or w/ my feet together. 169s, but feel i could go 159s. I don't want the trucks too big cuz that can hinder the turn, whereas i want maximum turn👉🏽Combined, my risers are either 5/8 or 7/8 👀 becuz i can't let the big juicy 75mm Thunderjuice touch my board when i turn, or i'm flying off (even w/ the wheelbite wax hack, there isn't much mercy).🍊 All of my setups have Indy 92a bushings, the Cruiser has the conicals for surfier turning. I use 92a becuz i got tired of cranking down the regular orange Indy 90a and smushing them into bits. I had to crank them down to get the turn i wanted over & over until my kingpin would stretch & snap. So i put them on every new pair of trucks, even tho they don't fit the Aces so good 😖 My grip can be smattered about any kinda way, idc 🤣
Yup. You know why you skate what you skate!
@@stickersteve007 oh yea 😎 also shorter wheelbase for flatground, medium (14.5ish) for transition, and wider for downhill..
Dude, I feel you. I rolled my ankle middle of Sep and didn’t do anything for 2wks, then all I did after that was manuals and kickturns. I got a new deck coming, so will get that setup and it’ll have been a month since hiring my ankle. I think I’ll be able to ease back into it
hopefully you're good to go now!
have you tried the dragons 97 duro?
Powell and Bones use the same formula, so yes. it's my favorite formula. currently on the Powell Peralta Nano Rats 97's. My new favorite wheel
I'm using da 5.6 standard 94 ace truck bushings
Hey Steve been watching your vids get back into skateing curbs and flat 🎉....
nice dude! and thanks for checkin out the videos
Ventures are calling you back…
the thought crossed my mind, but it's not the trucks. it's me
Didn’t know the dude skated
@Hrmn8tor only after a couple white Russians
@@stickersteve007 hanging out having a few tall boys at the slappy curb is the true technique to breaking in the ole curb.
@@Hrmn8tor Now that's a video idea!
I think it’s because u aren’t using Venture lol
@@itzEnJ lol believe me. That thought crossed my mind
I just got the soft sliders 2 days ago, they feel really good 2nd day of skating them today. I slide really long on ledges, I notice whenever i am doing noseslides or tailslides i need to wax them ledges on the side and on top of the ledge which is a bit annoying but tolerable especially coming from a 99a spitfire classic wheel. The speed is fucking incredible and smooth on them though it feels like i don't have to push for shit to approach a ledge which is amazing. After doing tons of research and watching a bunch of comparison videos of bones vs spitfires it looks like i am only sticking with the soft sliders and i definitely want to try out the bones x99's.
Right on. Sounds like you'd probably like the x99's as well.
Thank you, Sticker Steve
It was good content to me, man. With how others on UA-cam make clips everything is always first try. You’ll get it soon enough man. Just return to it when you’re having fun again.
Thanks dude. Next dry day it's on! Lol
Hope the calf feels better soon 👊🏻
Thanks brother. Gonna stay off the board for a few days
Keep up the fight 🙏
@@AdventuresInSkateboarding you know I will
@@stickersteve007 💯
dont give up
Never!
Man i know the feeling. Sometimes you just got to stop for a few sessions and then try it when your fresh. Also maybe having something to ollie up too like a 10 inch ledge may help too. Love the honesty brother.
Yeah I'm walking away from this one for a few sessions. At least that's what I'm telling myself lol
I’m wanting to learn these sooo bad. I’ve always ollied into my crooks so I’m struggling letting that go. Even on smaller curbs I’m still ollieing
I feel ya. Curb skating in general is a weird one for me. I'm so used to ollieing into everything. Just gotta trust the process and run into the curb
@@stickersteve007 will do! I won’t give up!
this is real content skating after 30 <3
Ain't that the truth
Do you have a video on that butter bench curb?
I don't think I made one on the final product, but I do have one of the first version before an Amazon driver ran it over and I had to rebuild it
@@stickersteve007 sweet thanks
Some days you really feel like nothing is working out and nothing feels like it should.
100%. For me it's this damn trick. Just ain't workin out how I planned
@@stickersteve007 give it time. It’s amazing how one session can differ from the next. By the sound of things your body needs a bit of a rest from trying this one for a few days.
No advice for the trick, I’m not a slappy-er but those Accels 👀
Keepin it OG
@@stickersteve007 My favorite skate shoe of all time. Glad to see people wearing it!
I hear you. I’m the same way with some tricks. I think I know how it works. I think I know what I need to do. But something still doesn’t click. All I can suggest is put it aside for now and get back to fun stuff. When you get that flow back, come back and try the new trick. It will be that much more glorious when you do finally get it. 👊👍
Gonna put it on the backburner for now. It's going to rain for a week anyways. So I don't have much of a choice lol
We all have bad days! I enjoyed watching the flat ground session! Tricks looked decent imo! 💪
Thanks dude. I was just trying to warm up
