@@stickersteve007 Im in both now, cant get off both, skated Ventures for 12 years growing up, never Indy. Broke my ankle skating "Not Indy's ***cough cough "Thunders & Ace"" in 2021 and tore my ACL so I wanted to try Indy, and ever since I love them, go too basically because they make me feel safe on my board if Mason Silva can grind em down to the axel ill be fine. but Ventures really gets me excited to skate street. something about the widening of the Wheelbase I love.
you had me rolling laughing with the thumb nail, I legit thought Venture was making a My Ventures series like Indy! thats funny dude plus i ride ventures when i skate street which is mostly all the time lol I ride Indy's for everything else lol park, transition, cruising, all my main skating. so I'm torn, I'm a Venture & Indy Guy! But Independent has my heart because they are cool people Gavin The Brand Manager especially and released stuff I consulted about, and really listened to me. I love Indy! but Ventures man Idk they just are a different beast! I call em my "slow, slow, quick, quick," trucks, you can steer them slow, slow, then quick, quick, turn, its very good for ledge skating and rails and manuals and ollies and flip tricks. its just my observation about Ventures, why I like them. They did massively improve my pop even though I skate the standard Team Highs mostly the "5.8s" = 8.5 and the "6.1s" = 8.75 The 8.5s "Team Loose Bushings Pair" are my Favorite truck now over all out of the Ventures line. But i wanna try the Titanium 8.5s they're just hard to get. Have you skated the VENTURE TITANIUMS??
Preach!!! Ventures are super stable. On my Kids 8.25 she’s got Venture 5.8 Worrest Awake trucks. Feels good to her for cruising. I’ve got Venture 6.1 HI & am so happy with them.
Venture's were always reliable. A niche Trucks these days were everyone riding Independent or Thunders most of the time. Love it. PJ Ladd 👑 also rides for Venture :)
@@stickersteve007 the feeling is mutual. I work in offshore wind. When I am out to sea. Your videos are my way of getting out there and skating. So trust me you do a lot for me and a lot of people like me who just wish we could be out skating
Cool montage! Have recently joined Ventures gang (and riser pads gang), switched from Thunders recently. Feel like manual-feel, turn-feel (I like to skate quite tight trucks for flip tricks) and tailslides have improved with Ventures, still quite early on thoughts but yeah.
It is nice to see more poeple discover Ventures V-lights recently despites all the hype on the other brands on the internet :) You can't go wrong with Ventures - DLXSF quality and so many versions to suit your preferetions. I disagree with general opinion it is only for stiff riders. I skate V-lights 5.6 fairly loose, they turn accurate but still I feel very stable on the ledges. And last but not least - skateboard looks so sick with this trucks :)
I skate ventures sometimes on setups, but they dont turn....they tilt and thats about it. You cant make a 180 degree turn as sharp as aces or indy with ventures at all. They do hold a good place in skating though and i actually enjoy them skating curbs, ledges and manny pads but just can't seem to enjoy them skating bigger transition parks. This edit is awesome by the way!
its funny you are talking about those because someone else on yt was saying ventures dont grind well and i instantly thought about you. i was like "steve rides ventures and he grinds the hell out of everything" than boom here you are talking about them,
i rode Ventures back in the day, and if u want a truck that turns YET LIMITS your turn, then Ventures are gr8. Ventures are like the perfect 120mph truck, but if u want freedom, ride Indys or Aces... Thunder is just a slimmed down Venture.
Ventures will always have a special place in my heart. They were all I rode for my first 3 years of skating
that's how indys are for me. i may skate em again someday

Fantastic spoof 😂!

@@stickersteve007 well I for one love it!
I’m riding venture V-hollows I like them a lot but I still have my soft spot for my thunder Standard trucks . I only skate 14 inch wheelbases.
I get it. I still have a soft spot for indy's
I like ventures on twin tails. They tend to add some pop to flatter boards.
@@AdventuresInSkateboarding yup they are great for flat boards. I like flatter boards and twin tails

I agree. I didn't try them for the longest time because everyone said they don't turn. Just not true. I'm glad I found out for myself

perfectly explained! Ventures aren't for everyone, but what truck are. I'd say Indy's are the best neutral trucks
