Depends on the injury but there are times when the ankle or feet feel painful to me and I'll just try to push around. If I'm legit injured I'll take it easy on the board. I'll stand on it to feel it but I'll hit the PT hard so I can get back on the board fully. I've learned with my body it takes time for me to recover as I'm not young anymore. I'll miss the hell out of the skateboard but better to fully recover.
@@stickersteve007just don’t do what I did and keep pushing through until the hurt got too much. Also count me in on the t shirt. I’m stupid and stubborn too.
It depends on how bad the injury. Low impact tricks to stay sharp is what I do. If its bad, skating while injured can prolong the healing process. I enjoyed the video man. Relateable. I session the garage in bad weather too.
The Old Bones knee sleeves are great. They are a fabric so they wash well. I like them because they have a hell doughnut around the kneecap. Even when the knee feels good, it protects me from the board popping up and smacking my knee. I don't always wear them. However, I am never made at myself when I do. I'm interested in the curb box you built. The garage looks good. My injuries are arthritis in my shoulders and a smashed S1 S2 in my spine. My nerves in my back are smashed. The combination of the two disrupts my pop. Anyway stay Rad Sir.
Garage sessions for the win! Injuries are interesting... Small injuries can be dealt with and skated on. More severe injuries, like my current muscle pull require rest. I just got back on the board this morning for the first time in 4 weeks. It's almost a fun challenge trying to figure out what I CAN do with an injury. I definitely can't do everything yet, but I had some fun while taking it easy.
Always appreciate your content my dude. I’m for whatever you want to make. My ankle is feeling loads better with rest, stretches and stability/strength/flexibility training. Was out for half an hour today only doing manuals. Strangely satisfying.
I really dig your slappy/curb content. I have become obsessed with curb skating, haha. I'm 40. I picked skating back up again a couple of years ago. The last time I was on a board, I was 17ish. I just learned front 50s slappys. My only problem is landing them, i can get on top of the curb cool as ever but landing them, eh.... I don't know that this helps with deciding what your content should go. I guess I'm just saying I enjoy watching your channel, lol
I appreciate that! I wish I could help with the fs 5050's but I'm terrible at them. Whenever I remind myself to keep my knees bend it seems to help a lot.
Thats a hard one to answer. Right now my back is bothering me so I'm stretching and having light sessions. A few months ago a tweaked my knee pretty bad and didn't skate for like four weeks with pt. I never got my knee checked out just did some research and did pt for the self diagnosis 🧐 I think mine is a small inside meniscus tear. If you have full range of motion strength training would help too. Heal well. 🙏🏼🤙🏼
@@stickersteve007 if you think you got it located theres some good videos you can find to help. A heating/ice pack has been my friend and Dit dat jow (like a muscle rub) we used to use it on our shins in muay thai. GL man
I got sucked into Dan Webb stuff and drama. Anyway I forgot to mention is foam roll. before and after a sash. That or get one of those theraguns and hit the quads, calves and hammys. As for the diy build. I'd name it the Sticker Steve Special.
If you’re flat footed, consider getting insoles in your shoes to help the arch of your foot. That can actually affect knees and ankles. That aside, maybe rest for a bit.
@@stickersteve007nah man. UA-cam don’t like me. Keeps suggesting different channels but similar content. F that. Ride or die with Stonecold Sticker Steve. Oh Hell Yeah!!😂
How do you guy's handle injury's? power through or take it easy?

@mikethomson6546 thanks dude! I should probably take it easy for a bit just to be safe.....but I probably won't cause I'm an idiot lol

Sick garage sesh!! Hope you heel up soon I am always hurting somewhere man part of getting old 🤣🤙
but I'm only 25! lol
That kick curb is dope! Thanks for leaving that drama out of your channel. Don't need that in my life. 😮💨
That's why I haven't gone that route. Opinions can always create drama no matter the topic. I definitely wouldn't wanna create it intentionally
Man bun is solid. Flip tricks are solid too. Also I’m calling it the butcher bank or the butcher block
ooooooooooooo i like the butcher bank!

I have full range of motion. More than likely, it's a meniscus related thing. I feel like it's minor though.

Try rolling up a pair of socks and put behind your knee while your on your knees, then sit back. It helps my old knees stretch
Thanks. I'll give that a shot!

Both are probably good ideas
It’s a bank to curb, could call it a BURB for short lol
Simple yet elegant. I like it
I'd call that bank ... umm, accident about to happen
Mid 30s skateboarder I am gonna die.
I would watch other content talking about skate stuff.
Thanks! I may dabble with the idea
