Rebuilding The Console In My Jon Boat

Adding Dual Radiators to an 81' YZ 125

Re-Threading a Tandem Bike Crank Arm
Переглядів 2649 місяців тому
This is a detailed video of how to re-thread the crank arm for a tandem bicycle. On a standard bicycle, the pedal threads are threaded uniquely for the for the right and left sides. When a standard right-sided crank is put on the left side of a tandem bicycle, the pedal threads will be wrong. The crank needs to be re-threaded for left-hand threads so correct pedal orientation can be achieved. T...
CNC Mill Build 3: New ball lead screws, lube system, Clearpath servos
Переглядів 340Рік тому
This is part three of my CNC mill build. I disassembled it so I could add the lubrication system to all the ways. I discovered that the head gearbox still had casting sand inside it, and that there is no seal around the spindle. What prevents chips from getting into the spindle bearings? I made a seal holder and mounted it with a seal to the bottom bearing retainer. I also added a spindle stop ...

Human Powered Hydrofoil Part 1

This is a project I have been wanting to do for a while. When it is done it will be a super light watercraft that will be able to “fly” using only human power. It is in the very early stages, but I wanted to show you my progress so far. I have an idea in my head and I am making parts for it one at a time. I have the crank assembly completed. Next is the rear drive train and rear foil.

      @themellowmechanic 6 днів тому

      Thanks for watching the video! The charging setup works well. It been over a year and I am happy with its performance. There is one flaw that I need to fix. I mounted the charger under the seat in the same space as the batteries. The charger is air cooled which exposes the circuit board to the gasses vented by the batteries when they are charging. This has caused some corrosion on the board causing it to malfunction at times. I need to clean the board and pot it in epoxy to seal it from these gasses.

    • @themellowmechanic
      @themellowmechanic Місяць тому

      I have since sold the trailer. I installed them just before a 5,000 mile road trip. They held up beautifully. The paint on the front fenders got dinged up because of rocks getting kicked up by the truck. I never had a catastrophic blowout, so I’m not sure how the fenders would fair. The point of the fenders was to protect the floor and siding during a blowout
