2021 Bronco Sport Speaker Upgrade (With Before and After Sound Comparison)

- I upgraded the speakers in my Bronco Sport with two pairs of Pioneer coaxial speakers. For the front speakers, I used a pair of TS-Z65F, and for the rear speakers I used a pair of TS-D65F. I also installed sound deadener to the front and rear doors. The hardest and most time consuming aspect of the install was pulling the wires through the wire boots in the doors. If you are not running an amplifier then this step is not needed. The upgrade was well worth it; as the new speakers are much brighter and clearer.
Great work love all your videos keep them coming sir .
Cool video! Im looking to do the same thing and I had the same question regarding amp vs head unit. I'll go ahead with phase 1 and see how it goes. Will also be adding a small sub. Thanks for the tips!
Thanks for watching! I added an amplifier and it sounded a little bit better, not enough difference to make a video about it. I did add a 8” ported subwoofer and that made a huge difference. Stay tuned for that video!
Thanks for the video! I recently swapped the front door speakers with pioneer d series coax. I have the b&o system and the fronts are components. Should I disconnect the dash tweeters since my door coax have built in tweeters? If I want to get better sound staging should I installed a crossover or processor? I have no idea how to do this would it be fairly simple?
Thanks for watching! I would leave the factory tweeters and power them off the head unit. I did it that way and it sounds good. The other way would be to use either a passive or powered crossover to isolate them and power them off a separate amp. This would probably be the best way to do it, but the pain factor of getting to the tweeters and wiring them wasn’t worth it to me.
@@themellowmechanicyou're right. I plugged the tweeters back in and the sound stage is much better. I followed many people's advice on Reddit and they said to don't replace components with coax and definitely unplug the tweeters if I do. I'm glad I plugged them back in because I was so close to returning these speakers. I wish I could get more bass though. Would you plewse be able to do a video on how to install a powered sub into the bronco sport? I really don't know what I'm doing. I don't want to do an amp because I'm not confident in my ability. I just want more bass.
I’m glad it’s working good for you. I did a video on adding a sub to the Bronco Sport. Check out my channel and it will be listed videos. I added an 8” sub next to the spare tire under the rear cargo tray. It sounds amazing! It really rounded off the system.
If you bought from crutchfield they give you the wire diagram and can supply the speaker adaptor
Great video, subscribed! I was wonder how the floor and b pillar, come apart. Does it pull out, or is there a bolt or screw?
It is held in place by clips, I don’t remember removing any fasteners when I removed it.
How are you liking the new bronco? We need more updates on the rad golf cart build ;-)
The Bronco is great! It doesn’t make the house smell like diesel exhaust when I start it, like the CJ did!
@@themellowmechanic I miss my Cummins swapped F150 “fummins” you might like that video I posted on it. Take a look on my channel, it’s the blue F150 flare side.

Where did you get that tray behind the display/head unit?
I got it from Amazon. It fits nicely.
How did you get the wires through the rubber cover ?
It was tough but I ran an aluminum wire through it then pulled the wires back through.
