A Quick Visit To The Midland Railway Centre Including A Cab Ride!
Brilliant, but rather fancy a 2000 TC.
Un intero video per far vedere caricare un’auto su un camion?? Complimenti. L’unica cosa interessante erano le tre Alfa Romeo GT. Andate a coltivare la terra, cialtroni..!!🤬🤬🤬
No mention of 217, JXC8C, the Monte car, entered, I think, from Poland? The car came up for sale a few years ago and I was inspired to model it, using a Corgi Toys Rover 2000. It looked very nice!
Great film - Peter and I have been doing Hero Era and Rally the Globe endurance rallies in a V8 P6 since 2001 fully rally prepped in the UK. Absolutely love the car. Won the RTG Road to Hanoi rally in 2024, and came 2nd in the Classic division in the Hero ERA Badawi Rally 2023.
Since 2021
I did lurk briefly but you were deep in conversation with someone🙃
I am there tomorrow =)
@@classic_britain I'll be there next year 😁. One day visit for me, I was back home in sunny southeast (wanted to see my brother before he left for Oz (home) - missed him by 10 mins, ho hum. Hoping to get to Roverfest next year, though think it's highly unlikely my SD1 will make it 🙄. Hope you sell lots of merch
I've never been.....but desperately want to
I’ll be there Saturday 🙂
I'm there tomorrow, which hall is the Rover in?
Hall 3
You might as well enjoy the show, some content atleast 🤗👍🇮🇪
See you there
Wot day ru going.
Can't make it to the show but have a great time. I look forward to any video you do on it.
Not just a P5 A P5B Hopefully see you Saturday - a sticker would look great on my P5B Coupe 👍
And not an ordinary one at that. This one has mirror image number plates and is left hand drive.
Nice build, credit to the owner. The manual is a bit of a backward step, very hard to get the power down with a V8 turbo. Though he could have gone with one of our Aussie sequentials. Autos are a better deal with this engine. Yes there are 100s of 1000s of street cars that sound like this, and make Much More horsepower, down here...but Im sure you all know this. You can only dream of what it was like to buy a factory V8 straight off the showroom floor. If you want to see the tough car scene down here, watch Fullboost. Your minds will be blown. Keep it up, more tough cars from blightey thanks!
The traco engine has the same deck height as a Buick and rover, they just stroked them, presumably with Buick 300 cranks.
You basically ripped off the poor old fella that used to own it, even chuckling about it at the beginning of the video, Also, you think you're a lot funnier than you actually are,
Ok mate the fact that he had passed away long before I bought it kinda dissproves that and the other fact that his sons were litrally going to scrap it before I bought it proves you know nothing at all about the situation or the car 😂
I've seen Alfa's left to rot in the woods, partially eaten up by trees, that looked better on the outside than these stored inside a barn!
The air horns are standard
It's good to see Lucas again.😊
Why use adjustable when the right size imperial spanner would be easier.🇬🇧🇮🇪.
The registration issue is odd as my 72 Citroen was registered immediately as historic, after being OTR since 1981, even though it is not at all roadworthy!
These alpha look like they have been through some acid rain. A shame.
Great video. Love the 70s brown! Oooo what next? Yes Triumph would be good, love a Dolomite.
"Big turbo on the rocker cover.." He said, and pointed at the plenum chamber. Amazing how many car channels there are with people who don´t know diddly squat about cars. Oh, well, the turbo break is a fantastic car.
It's was a simple error I was not paying attention 😂 I did do mechanics at collage for 3 years and worked on P6's for a while im not that clueless!
@@classic_britain Haha, every one makes mistakes! You were spot on with the Alfas, so you are forgiven. Strange thou that it´s still possible to find abandoned cars in 2024. Cars from the 50-60 i understand, but who in their right mind saves a Vauxhall Astra or a Mini for the future..?
Nice to watch u again!!!
Maybe thermostat removed, old trick, to keep engine cool with blown gasket
Yeah it was taken out
And someone had started to take head bolts out
Rovers were always highly capable cars but were saddled with a stuffy fuddy duddy image. The exception to that is shown in this video. What a beast!
You might need an mot to change it to historic tax class
No luckly we don't had word from DVLA today there sorting it
Wasn’t taxation issue problem was last change of keeper was 1980 Had to prove it was that car usual easy ish but dvla short staffed lost photos and info sent then wanted more info and photos
Proper job!
Triumph 2000 is a nice car. The 2.5pi with Overdrive is very desirable!
Yes and is way faster then Cup!
My step dad had one new in early 70s a nice car in a dark inky blue
You need D-vitamin. most people in the north are D vitamin deficient because we don't get enough sun. When sunlight hits your skin you produce D vitamin, but especially in the winter we don't get enough sun, and the immune system needs D vitamin to function. So we need to take D vitamin at least in winter time.
I will tell Andrew the guy in the video =)
Your next adventure should be triumph stag or spitfire🙏🙏🇬🇧🇬🇧
I do love a stag 🤔
Looks nice, no rust so as I see quickly. I am busy with mine 3500S and also quite good, but the back brake system has rust, not rotten but bold,s are tight. Your engine has a lot of aluminium oxidation, I hope it is not to bad.
What a great project. Good luck!
Great work Sheldon, please will you get into ford's escort sierra or fiesta
Can't afford them there big money
Aim high Sheldon, aim high
Are you the actual owner of his car?
Yes she is in fact mine but my friend restored it for me
@@classic_britain He must be a very good friend, look after him
@@ARCHALTON69 Yes we are very close =)
I really feel for you Sheldon, you thought you had found an absolute peach, which turned out to be a bit of a nightmare. I can only imagine how much its cost to get it back to a decent state. A Triumph 2000 or 2500 sounds like a great idea for a change, or how about a Dolomite?
I don't know how many you have but you must have alot of money as everyone I've seen you had problems with why don't you just stick to one or two you need to take a welding course don't know about you me mechanical skills as well but that's where you lose alot of money not doing it you self as this Andrew is saying the truth about this 6 months ago so I hope you have learnt alot more with the problems and wat to look for
Oh god no I'm not wealthy and even less so not I didn't pay all in one go and I had alot of the parts myself but the welding was the main cost.
Shock horror! No more P6's! After all you've gone through with those motors!
Seems a shame you can’t enjoy it for a bit now it’s up and running and in good mechanical and reasonable overall condition. Perhaps a bit of a trip out somewhere would be good before you part with it. As far as the channel goes I agree something like a Triumph 2000/2500 would be a good way to go and those cars are equally desirable and full of character as well as being nice to look at both inside and out.
If u are going in another classic car direction what about a Granada Ghia X
@@AndrewMalley-y6h I'm not made of cash Fords are big bucks!
Proper engine sound 👍
Hey Sheldon was wondering where you went lol 😂 cheers 🥂
Great video and fantastic work on the P6. Many thanks for making and posting the video.
would be interesting to know how the finances worked out on this car. i.e. cost of car plus the work you did on it against the sale price assuming you have got rid of it?
Good work. Sounds awesome.
Nothing not NOTHINK
Pardon?
@@classic_britain the word is nothing with a g not NOTHINK with a k . I was taught this at infants school .
@@ColinGarner-h1t ok?

Can I get contact of the owner of the Alfa 1750 yellow one
Twats for driving so recklessly
You can’t exactly call this a sleeper with that sound coming out of side pipes. And those wide tires sticking out of the rear fenders with the risk of rubbing against them is something I never like. But I understand the need of the width obviously. The rest of the car is absolutely fantastic! My father bought one new in the early eighties and literally had his first technical problems already when he came home after picking it up from the dealer. Me and my brother were playing with the electric windows and then they refused to close. Unbelievable. During his business trips from the Netherlands to Germany the car broke down several times after which it had to be towed away and his business made fun of him for buying such a car. 😂 Keep up the good work guys 👍🏼
