Apple is one of the top stocks on the NASDAQ and in that regard they're a great company. Just profit off the idiots. I prefer a phone that gives me my money's worth like a charger in the box. Even apple in the beginning gave a dock, charger, headphones and more in the box. They will be the first to sell their customers separate phone components mark my words, and dumbass people will buy it

Exynoss with Samsung's software was horrible back then. I have no clue why the hell people even bothered to buy them. Even Snapdragon versions were bad compared to other brands. My OnePlus 5 is still kickin butts yet Galaxy S6, S7 and probably S8 and S9 is sucking ass

It wasn't that bad unless if you play heavy games. It was a good phone if you install a custom ROM on it or at least installed the latest official Android 7 update from Samsung if you couldn't unlock the bootloader. FYI : I was daily driving a LG G5 which was released in 2016 which is 1 year after the Samsung S6 just except it has a Snapdragon 820 which is newer than the S6's processor but it still works fast with LG's latest Android 8 update, i have the Korean variant so i couldn't unlock the bootloader unless if exploits for unofficial bl unlocks was released. I have other phones there too which came out before and after the S6 : LG G3 which i rooted it and used stock Android 6 on it (i just wanted to keep it on stock until further notice) it runs better with optimizations and it was almost lag free. LG V20 which i have since last year and it runs LineageOS 20 except the screen was partially damaged and the front camera and microphone was failed. I could replace the front camera though but only if i got a replacement part. Replacing the microphone is impossible to do it homemade since it was soldered on the board. But the phone is pretty much lag free just like my daily driver.

That's really interesting how it's so unbelievably slow. My Galaxy s7 Edge is much faster than that, and even my old Galaxy s4 is at least somewhat usable. Maybe it's just a horribly unoptimized Android update? 🤷‍♂

From my experience of daily driving an galaxy j5 2015 I learned that to be able to use it in 2025 you need to use some older versions of some apps and use a big capacity SD card.

Nope. Not anymore. I have decided that I will not get a new phone unless my current phone breaks beyond repair or slows down to the point of being unusable. I wanna break this toxic circle and stop feeling frustrated for not being able to always get the latest and greatest phone.

I currently have a S6 Edge in my drawer that runs Android 13 thanks to LineageOS 20 The phone is running pretty okay but yeah, battery life is awful due to degredation and the charging port doesn't hold on to the cable since Micro USB is trash. I have tested out many ROMs and the best ones personally are ROMs from Fakeman on XDA/GitHub since those are still being maintained and are quite stable and make the device run better even with the old hardware. Still even with the ROM, here are some problems: 1: VoLTE is not supported due to Samsung using proprietary software which means the phone relies on using 3G to make calls and most carriers are phasing out or have phased out 3G so you may not get service if you use a custom ROM 2. Banking apps and such that rely on Play Integrity will not work unless you use root to make the device pass the checks.

i have s23 and s21 for casual and the second is magic, still. More so, i have Sams a51 in my collection, and it's one of the best. The main is minority with all of those updates. Specs isn't an issue

peaople from america in geneal, thinks that it's impossible that a person can use a 4 years old phone, why? bro i have a fold 6 and my primary phone it's a Sony xperia z5 compact and it's fast and very usable, but in this case is even worse, bro a fking galaxy s6 is still usable, and it's better than an iphone X or 11, yes i do that test, and the s6 is so much better than a iphone 11, you don't need a iphone 15 to be able to do a normal life, the oldest phone that is usable without problems is a galaxy s4, and i don't use the zfold6 as my primary phone is because i have the z5 and it's working perfectly fine, when that phone gets slow i will change completly to my z fold 6.

At home i have LG V20 from 2016 which using for streaming apps not to kill battery on my main phone. Have absolutely everything installed as i have on main phone. So literally can't understand how you can't download anything on that Samsung

This thing came out the same year as the iPhone 6s, which runs so much better today. I have one with a new battery i use as an iPod and social media scrolling device every day and it works perfectly fine.... Too bad cause the design is nice !

Android 6 and Android 7? That's like hitting the jackpot for an old phone for me. Android 5 still works perfectly for my old tablet. I don't need more than Android 5. Even for my main phone. Just use old versions of apps. Literally Android 7 is like a lot for me. And I would have made it stay in Android 6 The only thing is Google Wallet because it's kinda like a paying app and it maybe needs the newest version (i have never used google wallet) And the slowness? It's not that much, and besides, repairing your attention span. I could literally use Android 4 if Whatsapp worked.

Next time, use a custom rom. Its a life saver.

I still use a phone from 2014 and it still runs alright. For apps which wont work i just link it to my pc and put apks on it cus its a xperia. Not sure if other phones let u do that (edit) I broke a newer phone so i got that 1 but its locked to virgin media and O2 so im not even calling on it yet cus the sim hasn't come yet XD

My first phone was an LG, but my mother had a Note 3 and my cousin had an S3. Both were great devices.

I really feel Apple is losing the mark. The camera control button is perfect evidence of this. It's obvious to me that they're grasping at straws now trying to make their phones feel fresh but I think it's not doing them any favors. I seriously hope camera control is removed in the next generations. It's a dumb feature nobody asked for and nobody will be sad about when it's gone. Speaking as a 16 Pro user.

iPhone's camera is shockingly bad. Colors are way off, HDR is too extreme, sharpning is turned up to 11. What I don't get is how it's so awful, the sensor should be way superior hardware wise, but pictures end up oversharpened to hell and less detailed than from 2MP digicam. Tim Apple needs to be fired.

I think that watermelon has better software support than the S6

This phone's specs, especially RAM size, is pretty much like my current entry level phone. For that time it was consider Flagship. And in 2019 was the last "2 to 3 Gigs of RAM" specs as minimum I guess

Quite surprising that stuff ran that bad on your device. I have uninstalled the Google App on mine and ran cmd package compile -m everything on the most used apps and it runs quite well. Also on Android 7. Especially Google Maps runs much better on my S6 Edge.

I have a Galaxy Note 5 that I got last year for just 22 dollars, pristine condition. It takes amazing pictures and even though they come out too saturated for my liking majority of the time, I would use it as my main camera if I didn't have my S24+.

Hey man, loved the video. You have a chill attitude and good humor. As for the phone, there are some decent custom roms.. some even android 10 whoch would make this phone a lot more usable.
