One of the best features of the pop-up camera was being able to find out if an app was using your selfie camera without your permission and spying on you
also the ads. and one hardware issue is that the lcd screen breaks so easily that most of the time the lcd and touchscreen breaks before the glass even gets scratched
Yes. The feature that i really miss from old smart phones is the pop up camera. My brother has a phone since 2019 and it has a pop up camera. And it still pops up just fine...
Oneplus 7 pro's issue wasn't the front facing camera. For me it was the display. It started to glitch fairly often near the 3.5 years so i got rid of it.
but at least in india, secondary display is here from the indian brand like the lava agni 3 and lava blaze duo, lava agni 3 has a secondary 1.74 inch AMOLED Display while the lava blaze duo has a secondary 1.54 inch AMOLED Display.
I still use the vivo nex. I bought the sprint version of the sharp aquos crystal the first generation even though boost mobile also had the sharp aquos crystal because sprint owned boost mobile when sprint was around during that time. I like the pop up camera on my vivo nex s and the tiny bezels on the sharp aquos crystal with the exception of the bottom chin with a bigger chin that did not quite match the full design of the phone.

The pop-up camera was probably the coolest tech in the smartphone industry, and it's sad to see it fade away over time.
@@1N54N3-g6b truly sad

good point
The problem with Xiaomi phones is not specs or hardware it's the software, which makes your phone slower and buggy after 2-3 year of security updates
Custom roms are smooth though.
@@Itsjustpinchyyeah but average people aren't going put custom roms on there.

Can confirm. Poco got dogshit after 2-3 years. It's using the same os from what I understand. It was blazing fast day1
@@xiondFirst skill issue then. Why would one be limited to the OEMs shennanigans when we are literally in the Android world
Pop UP camera is the best. But they left it intentionally

IR blasters being removed from phones
Every day I beg someone to make a popup phone again. I don't even want a front camera, I just hate the black hole
I love the pop-up camera so much. It's one of the reasons why I bought a used Poco F2 Pro a year ago when I needed a new phone.
with today's tech we can literally fit high quality , main censors in a popup mechanism.
in terms of design, I really liked, how the Samsung galaxy A80 did the 'front' camera
smartphone design was at peak in 2019.
i love your content you derserve more subscribers
thanks so much
Wow an intro, It's been so long since I've seen one, Great Vid though
Thanks 😊

Watching this from my 7t pro McLaren edition, selfie cam still works
I am using a OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren from 2019...No camera issues.
good to hear
still using mi 11 ultra till this day,no regret even after upgrading to 14 ultra, still have it in my collection
theres nothing wrong with it tbf

Yep my 7t pro camera pops up perfectly till this day
i agree its the best. but like you said space + water proofing issues, and other mechanical failure challenges.

I hava a 4 year old Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro. Still no pop up camera issues.
you are so under-rated
@@baths4cars thank you
The best solution is the flip main camera like in the Honor 7i fewer mechanical parts and an extradentary selfie camera
my oneplus 7 pro hasn't failed since 5 years of more than regular usage.

I have realme x it stopped working in 2 years
rip
Same with me. But take realme X is the cheapest phone with a pop up.
today's flat slabs aren't as comfortable and not ad premium as the curved beautiful phones of 2019-2020.
u forgot mi mix lineup
I had a redmi k20 with a popup camera. God that was a good phone
good old days
I had 7 pro. I'm so sad I broke it. Give. Me. Popup. Again
I am still using my mi 9t pro
It's a great device
