SW-Motech Pro Tail Bags and Dunlop RoadSart Tyres in the pouring riain
Are SW-Motech Pro Tail bags waterproof? Are Dunlop RoadSmart IV tyres any good in the rain? -- Yes, Absolutely they are.
10 days and 2,000 miles across Europe, and it rained a lot. No damp clothes. No movement from the tyres. Excellent.

They said they wanted me to do a thorough road test on the Suzuki GSX-S1000GX. They said I should take it to Europe and ride two or three thousand miles. They didn't mention the rain.
Germany on a Suzuki V-Strom
Переглядів 71Місяць тому
Germany is often overlooked as a motorcycle touring destination. Twisting roads. Little traffic and stunning scenery. Perfect for a Suzuki V-Strom on Dunlop Trailmax Meridians.

Переглядів 1,6 тис.9 місяців тому
We rode Suzuki's V-Strom 800DE across the Hartside Pass in Cumbria to see just how flexible and smooth a motorcycle with an offroad bias performs on tarmac. Plot spoiler - it is really rather good. Full details can be found on the Flies on the Visor website bit.ly/3I4CMFD

just the ticket had some dubious-looking person weighing up my phone on the quad lock on my bike while at traffic lights, could keep my phone in my pocket now THANK YOU
You're welcome
You keep riding that line and going left of center and your happy day aint gonna end so well. But yea no one can tell you nothing.
Certainly a good test in that weather. Nice to know the Tailbags hold up. Cheers
Thanks 👍
I.don't mind it. Something relaxing about being in my own world, Visor down
Oh I do love riding in the rain, NOT, stay safe brother 👍
In Scotland you would have 4 seasons 😂
True that ... True. Due to be experienced in July
Netherlands: Hold my beer
Ja und in der Mitte fahren 😊 genau. Wirst nicht lange leben Kollege 😂
i thought the roads in Germany were excellent
They are. Even when it is raining 😄
So 1. is late summer and 2. is ... late summer!
You should see in Costa Rica 😅
That "Weather by Germany" at the end is really funny. Wetter ist immer Scheiße!
👍
Hi there! Is there a reason why did you choose A2 Air Pro version while cheaper A2 Air version is available?
The Pro is faster.
Hello! Connected Ottocast A2Air Pro. Works good. The problem is finding a long cable to run under the seat. The cable that works with android auto does not work with Ottocast. What cable did you use instead of the standard cable? Thank you.
It was a cable I had in a box, so I can't be sure. I think it was made by UGREEN. If you search UGREEN USB on Amazon, you should find them. Get the high-quality high throughput cables. All of that said I can't be sure. Hope that helps.
Thanks, I'll try!
Hi, thanks for that. I've bought one now and got it set up nicely. I'm interested to know if you 'stuck' it somewhere? I'm trying to find a suitable spot where it's out of sight and doesn't catch on something when steering. Thanks.
The best solution I've seen was to run a long USB lead so the Ottocast A2Air Pro could be installed under the seat. This means that only an inch of the cable is visible before it runs behind the "Tupperware"
@@fliesonthevisor Thanks for that, sounds like a good option and keeps it dry as well 👍
Thank you for a very helpful video. I have a question, my 2020 Africa twin "seems to have an issue" with pairing and working properly when using Android Auto. The cable I have is proper Samsung ( paid enough $$ for it), I use a Cardo Neo comm unit and, hooked up the head set and the phone to the bike. As soon as the bike senses the "presence" of my head set it cuts it of and I can not listen to music and communicate with my riding buddies. The only thing that works is Android Auto on the big screen. If I do not connect the phone via cable and choose not to pair the headset with the bike @ initially turning the bike on, the Cardo works, I can listen to music, talk on the phone and communicate via the Cardo with my riding buddies. Sorry for the long description but do you have any knowledge of this issue and how to solve it? Thank you
Hello - If I'm reading the question correctly, I think you are suffering from the "Who's in charge" problem. With your phone and bike connected to the headset, they are arguing for control. Try connecting the phone to just the bike, and the headset to the just bike and delete all other pairings. The music then plays from the phone, through Android Auto to the headset. Let me know how it goes.
Pointless review
Thanks for the time taken. I bought one for my NT but it turns out that because my Samsung A12 phone doesn't support 5 ghz wi-fi it won't work. Now looking at a phone upgrade! Tech, huh......?
Surprising. It works on Bluetooth, wouldn't have thought WiFi would be an issue, but good spot if that is the case
@fliesonthevisor I agree. Wi-fi shouldn't come into it. I'll try turning the wi-fi off and see if it makes any difference. Then I'll try another phone which I know supports 5 gig. Out of interest where did you stash the Ottocast unit. I'm thinking up under the fairing below the displays....
I didn't as it wasn't my bike (Honda Press Bike) so I stuck it to the fairing and removed it when the bike went back
Superb mid-Wales scenery. So many people miss this by concentrating on North Wales. Got to say the name Devil's Staircase seems a bit OTT for a couple of hairpin bends, though.
If only the Transalp had a headlight more akin to the Africa Twin, rather than the bland unit from the 500X and Hornet which kind of feels a bit budget.
One of my favourite roads. If you carry on to Caistor and go straight across to Brigg, that's also excellent 👍
About right for Granrham 😂
An interesting review, highlights how competitive the middleweight adventure sector is and how practical they are now. 👍
Thanx for the comparison review of these nice motorcycles. My thoughts: Weight: Honda Suspension: Suzuki Engine, sound, economy, gearbox: Honda Tech: Suzuki Original Aftermarket options: Honda Apperence (subjective): Honda Airfilter access: Suzuki Gps mounting bar: Suzuki Conclusion: To drive: Honda To live with it: Suzuki
great clip guys!!
What an utter dick, proves that the most dangerous part of a vehicle is the nut holding the steering wheel.
THATS GRANTHAM
You went pass my grandparents house

Honda is unobtanium in NA.
How many litres are these one ?
There are two sizes - 41 litres and 33 litres. The one in the video is 41litres.
Definitely Suzuki it is a better allrounder! Well done Suzuki 👍
Both great bikes, I went for the Transalp ,Great work Lads
Thats in Grantham
G-Town
I drove it in my little Dacia this afternoon at a pretty steady 60 with an enormous smile on my face both ways through some of the corners and undulations; and it was clear it would be much more fun on a motorbike!
That's true bro, crazy thing is I was behind this motor going in there the other day. Old G Town reppin the tube. Lol. Anyone know the donut driving??
Very nice, I have a street rack fitted to my R1200R and am strongly considering getting these to use as a top box rather than the Urban ABS Case I use now
They are a good size and the lid isn't too deep, so things don't fall out when packing
Man lives in grantham like me ner aldi
I thought that’s where it was, it’s near the bk and kfc isn’t it?
😂😂old grantham❤
Grantham is nice
I saw the exact same thing happen this morning near Walton this morning. Someone turned infront of blue lighting police car. School run mum's come 1st I guess.
I'm a bloke.....I never read the manual 😂
You are my saviour 🙌, I have had my NT1100 for nearly a year now and from day 1 had issues with connection via cable and eventually used an Anker cable which solved it, or so I thought. It still faulted sometimes so I went to my Honda dealer who also tried but failed. So, like you, I thought I'd try wireless option, connected it all up but still had issues, temperamental I'd call it. Time and time again I would uninstall everything and keep trying, but failing 😔 . Then, I saw your video, and followed your instructions and from then on it connects 1st time everytime! The only thing different that you point out at the very beginning is, YOU MUST CONNECT HELMET TO BIKE FIRST, after that you connect your phone and hey presto it works. So, if anyone else who has connection issues follows your instructions then happy days, they'll have no issues. Thanks again 👏
Happy days before they fecked it! Reminiscent of cat and fiddle era too...Sad..Great vid though.. I always bottle that right hander by the quarry going up! I think it looks too dusty🤷🏻♂️ It's in my head 💯 %
Well done, you have done what many of us want to do. You look to have been very luck with the weather.
The track is a public road, so help yourself 🙂 It is hard to resist the urge to go faster. The Cafe serves excellent icecream.
Very nice. I'm spalding so it's nice to know I still have those roads to explore. Any closer to spalding? Keep hearing there's a road in the top 10 uk bike routes near by but not sure
You are in the middle of so many good biking roads it is hard to know which one. The Caistor High Road (there is a video) is one. Bardney Bends, Bitchfirld Bens (near Grantham - another video). Take a look here for some ideas: fliesonthevisor.com/free-motorcycle-routes-the-midlands/
@fliesonthevisor I keep hearing! Aha. I'm definitely taking notes. I appreciate that a lot, I will have a wonder now I have a few routes 🙏🏽
Grazie... ciao.. chissa..
Great road, I often head up and down it when I'm passing from Corby Glen.
Lovely
It is really narrow, but looks like one heck of a rollercoaster ride.
The FLOOF , fluffs off all the litre sports bikes 🤣🤣
The Floof appears to make a lot of "friends" on superbikes. :-)
