  • Racing started at Oliver's Mount near the seaside town of Scarborough, in North Yorkshire, in 1948, using the service road to the Memorial.
In the 70-plus years of racing history, this is perhaps the slowest on-board lap ever recorded.
As the cars and motorcycles parked at the cafe and memorial show, when not in use for racing, these are public roads with a 30 mph speed limit.
The cafe, by the way, sells delicious ice cream and serves excellent mugs of tea.

Well done, you have done what many of us want to do. You look to have been very luck with the weather.

The track is a public road, so help yourself 🙂 It is hard to resist the urge to go faster. The Cafe serves excellent icecream.
