Hi :) Have you tried Scherzo from Miller Harris? a Rose/Oud that to me does not smell too much oud but more patchouli (similar to the Patchouli noisette from the Les Indemodables) that means smells clean :) From the note breakdown I did not think I would like it but not only I like it but love it! To me smells clean and powdery floral (not too sweet) and different , very different. 🙂

Hmmm I am loving Love Delight more and more but not impressed with price rise. I won't be buying it at $600. If I find it discounted I will. I wasn't madly in love at first but the more I try it the more I love it. Only the longevity is bit of a let down at this price point. It's $490 on Feeling Sexy a the moment by the way, but they do great sales so waiting for that. Also really annoyed that I hesitated on buying Penhaligon's Solaris because that went up from $320 to $385 :-( The more they do this the pickier I will be about buying full bottles and I hope others will be the same so they stop it.

Hei! Your vlog from Europe was so fun to watch, you and Matt looked very stylish together! And I laughed a bit when you said that you had 8 degrees in winter, where I live in Norway, we have had 8 degrees now in June🤣🤣🤣 Always lovely to hear your take on different perfumes and also always interesting to hear from others that the perception of scent and what you like will change in time. I am now almost 51, and the past two years have brought a lot of change perfumewise. I can no longer tolerate very sweet scents, vanilla smells almost dirty/bo on my skin, and notes that I did not care for like jasmine and tea, are suddenly so nice. But hey, that is great, a lot of new scents to explore!

I do enjoy these Vlog ones. Of course u got ill from our Continent 🤣 I have a cold now. Our weather is bizarre. That Dusita with Pavillon is my favourite. Delicate beauty is definitely her strength. The Amouage well, I won't waffle one. Yes it's a crowd pleaser alright and like we've said no point holding onto that they were. The best thing about them was being niche and truly Omani but I guess French mediocrity is what sells, yes meow 🤣 couldn't help it. Even King Blue was promising in the opening then... Yea 🙄 snooze 😅 and I soooo wanted to love that one, sadly the more I tried it the more I was sad 🤣. Fantastic Vlog as ever 😊

I also cannot comprehend how anyone can dislike Ormonde Jayne Woman 😅 Like, we cannot be friends if you do, lol. Have you tried the Parfum version or the Elixir? I didn't realize either existed until recently when I had a moment of silly panic about the prospect of OJW being discontinued and went in search of backup bottles. If you can believe it, the Parfum version is a tad more velvety and gorgeous, less sharp, than the EDP ❤ The Elixir is apparently equal parts OJ Woman and Man (which i also enjoy), plus a touch of Oud.

A new subscriber here and I’m compelled enough to also write a comment. Not just because you’re Australian, but you’re the first perfume content creator that was able to pin point my problem with iso-e super on my nose. First came across you during those terrible WFH days when I saw your video reviewing your Trudon candles. They helped me to relax when we’re all stuck with no where to go! Thanks to you, I will now start collecting these Ormonde Jayne fragrances. Keep up the amazing work ❤

This was such a fun video Cherie - glad you got your hands on Coromandel, the 200ml bottles are huge. I have a 200ml bottle of Beige and it doesn’t fit where I keep my perfumes so I have to keep it in the spare room 😂

I'm sad the Ormande Jayne line went up in concentration and so much in price. I'm tempted to buy Sampaquita or Tanger, since my local store still has the older formula and bottles. I already have my beloved Champaca.

I think it is possible that it is the orris itself at higher strength that makes Vanille des Afriques seem darker. To me it has a tang that was not so much there in Vanille d’Iris!!

I was one who was so sad about Vanille d’Iris and I am delighted wiith the new perfume.

Ah, perfect length video. I'm enjoying the rare English summer heatwave on my day off, eating a half-melted Toblerone and watching you chit chat for half an hour about 'fragrance'n'stuff'. 😎👍 What's interesting is how my fragrances smell almost totally different in the heat, with really hot slightly sweaty skin making everything smell ten times more delicious and moreish. Certain fragrances just do NOT make sense to me mid-Winter. Like the fun offering from J-Scent 'Ramune'. It smells like weird fabric softener in January but now, today, late June in the heat?! Wow! And Koke Shimizu by Parfum Satori smells like a rain-soaked hot Australian cement pavement and freshly mowed grass, right after an unexpected rain shower, with a bit of petrichor mixed into the sweet green juiciness for good measure. I could go on. I think Brits know exactly what I mean as this sort of weather is short lived and thus, the way in alters their fragrances is more dramatic and distinct to the sense. Anyhow, loved this video as usual. 30 min is a good length as my coffee is gone by then. 😄☕

I Love Songes for summer and I adore a well done cumin mote. I find it so sexy. At any rate, last week after sampling Un Bel Amour D’été by Parfum d'Empire, I immediately got a full bottle. I also thought this had tuberose, but it's more gardenia, ylang, champaca, turmeric and an even stronger cumin note. I didn't even realize what it reminded me of at first, then someone on Fragrantic mentioned Songes and I had to go compare the two and yes, it's very, very similar to Songes but more animalic as more cumin. I guess I didn't need it but I totally didn't connect the two when I was sampling. All I knew was it was fantastic, and it is! oxJulia

That was great seeing your life with perfume and the ‘journey’. Songe is definitely a bit spicy and has a vintage powdery quality. I have the EDT, which was a blind buy. On paper it’s right up my alley, but it makes me sneeze my head off for some reason on top of not being a true like or love.

I’m currently wearing Vol de Nuit as I get ready for bed. There’s a lot going on, yet it’s subtle and blended seamlessly. I love it.
