Terroni is a negative term that is used here in Italy to identify people from the southern part of the country. Orto Parisi used it in an ironic way, I guess to celebrate southern Italy and its volcanoes, with the hot ground "boiling" around them!
I sometimes have rb face, I can't help it if I have to deal with particularly annoying peole 😂 If I have to think about an unapproachable fragrance No.19 by Chanel comes to mind. An elegant, rich woman wearing all unbranded, super expensive clothes walking in Paris.

I went through over 600 ml of Prada Infusion D'Iris, and I love the scent.
The Portrait of a Lady by Frederic Malle is dark and mysterious, and it makes me feel strong and a bit unapproachable
oh for sure! I cant pull that one off but it is definitely standoff-ish! I will never be without the Prada in my wardrobe.

What a fun topic! I own Prada Infusion D Iris and I love that image. I never thought of it that way but I'm going with it. I'd add Stairway to Heaven by Jul Et Mad to the list. Ice Queen in a bottle! It is the coldest feeling scent I've smelled and I do enjoy wearing it occasionally. You're also so right about compliments. I get them at times but it's not a daily thing by any stretch and that's normal I think. It's also probably a good sign that the perfume is not overbearing imo. I cannot imagine you with RBF btw!

If I want to send the message I am nobody to mess with: Cabochard! That scent does something to me - never failed to give me strenght and calmness on days, when I felt down and vulnerable. Not to mention: claws!

@@TheTopNote I had the same experience. I tried Superstitious for the 1st time a few weeks AGO : it was re-released in France last year to be permanently discontinued on Jan 1st this year. The SA sprayed it and I was like OMG. Until then, I was not much into aldehydes. Now I am more and more interested in aldehydic fragrances. I bought Rien Intense Incense by Etat Libre d'Orange. And I am contemplating buying Heritage by Fragrance Du Bois but the price tag is so prohibitive

Hahaha, what a fantastic idea for a video. This would make for a sensational, very juicy brunch conversation topic-- imagine all the anecdotes and stories people would share?! This inspired topic really could cover everything interesting about individual personalities and their unique psychology and so forth. I suspect most of what I like reads vaguely unapproachable in some way as I like strength of character in everything, and fragrance is no exception. Thus, I'm very careful about what I wear in any social setting knowing how challenging so many scent profiles are for 'regular folks' who aren't heavily into niche fragrances like all of us here in the comment section. Why would I wear 'Ambre Loup' by Rania J to Waitrose at 2pm?! What an act of aggression that would be! Better to stick to Cio Cio San by MDCI or something clean, familiar and friendly. Although just between you and I, often I conduct a cheeky experiment here and there, to hell with the general public and their unsophisticated facial orifices.

Unapproachable for a different reason. 😆 Originally thought that the castoreum and cumin in Epic would be harder to handle, but it doesn't project nearly as far as the blue beast. It's since become my "alone time" fragrance. 😂 Oud Satin Mood edp might be the blue sister, but she has a way of drawing people in with her sweetness. Both nuclear fragrances though.
One fragrance that fits this category is Nuit de Bakelite by Naomi Goodsir, which I absolutely love but other people find it strange...So, I wear it in very cold weather and in very small quantities...

I had a sample of Terroni that someone had given me and then a fragcom friend kindly gifted me a bottle for my birthday one year. She is in Sydney so would have bought it from there. As we are both in Brissy perhaps we should organise to catch up sometime and I can give you a sample! Hi Cherie! I wore Hibiscus Mahajad a lot on summer evenings and loved it but after 15 ml I think I had enough, that fruity bomb is a lot 😅. I often find Iris perfumes very cold and unapproachable and of course all chypres, for me the queen of unapproachables is Salome by Papillon, this one is so strong and sweaty and....

(I can't do the Delinas, there is something that annoys my stomach) I just purchased a small decant of Damask by OJ, reading the notes I thought it would be similar...

I just need to not wear it when it’s 40 degrees and a million percent humidity lol I have to be careful with it too because it can induce a headache on me. Damask is one that actually doesn’t work for me - it makes me feel a little nauseous for a period in the wear. One that does come to mind that always makes me think of a fruit cocktail is Sunset Hour by Goldfield & Banks.

All the Francesca Bianchi's ones. My Goodness, even if the name tells you "Come to me", there is such an animalic musc and leather that pushes you off. Even if the dry down is a bit flowery and vanillic !! Great videos, thank you a lot.

Yes,we have camellias along our back fence Shade lovers . Beautiful flowers but no scent that I ever could detect or very,very delicate at best ..look gorgeous floating in a bowl of water.I loved Berlin NYE and contacted James once. grungy,like me 😉Your last scent discussed,I threw out the sample yesterday whilst decluttering.Cant even go there🤭 although I know many like it xx

i used to live in Hong Kong, so sure, i know how annoying it is to live in hot and humid weather. this is an interesting topic. but petsonally, i dont find the Prada one cold...i like it actually, as it makes me smell elegant 😅
It definitely is elegant! Clearly I love it as I have used a whole bottle but I do think it smells aloof. That said, fun fact this was the perfume I selected to meet my now husband’s parents for the first time - I chose to to impress with understated elegance 😂

I have to say that the subject of your videi today is very interesting.
If I have to think at an unapprochable parfum the firs will be: Corpus Equus - Naomi Godsir. It smels like a wet dirty horse. Nobody would like to be near to you :)

It’s so funny how perfume hits everyone’s skin so differently, probably what makes it so fun! 😄💛 Corpus Equus is very rosy on me and one of the only perfumes (aside from a Francesca Bianchi perfume no less!) that I’ve ever received compliments on 😂 3 the first time I wore it out. I get lots of leather but not a ton of horse.
I live in SoCal Los Angeles area and I have some absolute bangers of fragrances and almost never get complimented, if I do it’s by a man. But girls around here don’t like to compliment each other as strangers on the streets.
