The more I watched that movie, the more I wanted to do what they did except for stealing. I found out that I was really good at fixing cars so I got a job Repairing diesel trucks. It helped me get a house and a great life.

We must have been really slacking off in the 80s for television execs to say "let's use some of this airtime to tell these slacker ass kids to get a job."
Most of the PSAs were "Stay in school or you are a loser", so this was a change to see something where a college education was not the one and only way to gain marketable skills.
That voice, that voice, it sounds like the legendary Luther Vandross because I remember this in between cartoon which shows a man in a gray sweatshirt and a young teen girl rollerskating throughout the episode because she needed to know what kind of career she likes to do and that’s when the man in the T-shirt name Zach tells her all of the jobs that she can do to succeed in real life because you have something called the future blob which is interrupting this teen girls livelihood because I really like these cartoons back then and I really miss Saturday morning cartoons all the time.

I don't know about you, but I personally would not use a sewing machine for my newfound ambition, and potentially new career, knowing that if I ever second guessed my choices in life, that sewing machine would spring into The Future Blob and murder me, or worse, the loved ones in my life...just sayin'.
How come Emily didn’t want to be an engineer or electrician, or anything in the STEM fields? Instead she’s a seamstress, or costume designer and other “women” jobs 😂 why not just tell her to marry a man, and avoid the future blob that way? 😂
