    I won’t agree on ur review today , people had all the answer, go and watch again. I was expecting you to talk abt the officer killing the two criminal, it was just unnecessary and you should have spoken abt Uzor changing accent multiple times. The film is a 90 over 100

    It's quite obvious you didn't pay enough attention while watching the movie. Most of your questions would have been needless. To answer some of your questions: 1. Why did Chima go alone to where the stolen truck was? He mentioned it to Uzor he knew Uzor was lying about the truck being stolen. He didn't trust him enough given the kind of person he already knew Uzor to be. His wife warned him against doing business with Uzor but he didn't listen giving Uzor a benefit of the doubt as blood brother that they are. 2. About searching the blood in the cooler: The situation they found themselves was not a preplanned one, things just happened fast and they were all panicking. In that state, thinking about hidden guns in a blood cooler is the least thing that'll come to their heads. Also considering these guys are a bunch of illiterates, they don't even know how blood transfusion or the hospital system works. They just believe the solution they so much desired has arrived. 3. Why were they hesitant to kill Uzor? Because the police commissioner (Segun Arinze) gave an order he wants him alive (because Uzor apparently is a family member of the commissioner). If you noticed, it didn't make sense to officer Bade when Segun Arinze said he wants them alive, that's because only Segub Arinze knew they were his relatives. 4. Why did they wait till Uzor get down before they rained fire on him? He was already weakened by the paralytic, and at no point prior to getting downstairs did he make any attempt to raise the gun. He tried to raise in gun on getting downstairs. It's a standard procedure in crime fighting, as long as the criminal doesn't raise his weapon in an attack mode, you control yourself well enough not to shoot. 5. How did Uzor know the doctor's name? He mentioned it immediately he entered the hospital that he googled and Google suggested based on multiple reviews that the hospital was the best in the area and also the chief surgeon's name. There were even more below par things that happened in the movie that I was expecting you to touch on but you didn't e.g. Uzor's constantly changing accent, the amount of time it took while the brother was losing blood, Dr. Amara abandoning an operation on the pregnant woman which she has already started, to come down to show heroism, Segun Arinze calling the brother's phone directly instead of Uzor's, etc. Nice review by the way!

    I really really enjoyed WDCE! I thought it was a unique viewpoint very different from what we typically see in Nollywood. Authentic Relatable storytelling and it just felt like they respected the viewers 😍 I felt satisfied after watching it and I definitely plan on watching it again to pay attention to the tiny details. Love that the writing wasn't predictable or lazy and it showed that sometimes in life, we get back to back blows and it doesn't seem like things will get better but ultimately it will. It's definitely one of my favourite movies of 2024!

      Tuksyyyy! 🤗 Ditto on everything you said. The writing was brilliant. The conflict & travails of the main character felt real & relatable and really made us feel for her and like you said it felt like the movie respected its viewers. Such a brilliant film and I really hope other Nollywood filmmakers take note and level up. Let me just leave it there. Lol. PS: Thanks for your support with my movie reviews Tuks. Some answers to your questions 1) Officer Bade's blood cooler was checked but he hid the gun below the blood bags. There is a white base under the blood bags. The gun was hidden below it, so it would have been missed inspite of a search. 2) The kidnappers took an additional hostage because they couldn't approach the gate without risking being shot. The hostage, a delivery man, was needed to complete some paperwork, specifically signing a confirmation of delivery. The kidnappers may have also believed that the delivery man had special knowledge about the blood they were holding, as they didn't understand its significance themselves. What's more concerning is that the kidnappers didn't seem worried that the delivery man wasn't showing fear, which suggests that they may have had military training or experience." 3) The delivery man/ Officer Bade was initially hesitant to kill the Uzor because Segun Arinze, a relative of the family, had intervened, instructing them to bring Uzor alive. This was why they didn't want to take him down immediately. However, in the end, they were forced to shoot him in self-defense. Remember when the brother went to him to rescue Uzor. Segun Arinze told him why did he come long ago. That they are family. 4) Intramuscular injection takes some little time before its effect is felt. That was the reason why when Dr Amara gave the drug he was able to stagger. Maybe the police didn't want to get close so as to protect themselves. They would prefer him to be in a place where he will be greatly outnumbered, hence the location he died. Also for additional scenery for the movie 5) Uzor knows about the hospital bcos he said he checked online and the hospital and the onwer Dr Amara is said to be the best Surgeon/ hospital. I think Dr Amara's boldness stems from the knowledge that they will likely not kill her since she is the one that will perform the surgery and they were desperate to have it done in her hospital.

    • @lolao4291
      @lolao4291 4 дні тому

      I think Dr Amara’s character is silly because she should have shown fear, other people’s lives were at risk , including that of a lil boy, she showed no emphathy whatsoever and did nothing while Uzor attempted to shoot the lil boy until Uzor eventually shot another innocent victim on the bed. I don’t think the cooler was searched but yeah I agree even if it was I guess they won’t want the guns to be found to favor the plot of the movie so that’s fine Uzor had time to google the best hospital in the face of rushing his brother that was shot to the hospital lmao 🤣 that one is a long shot abeg, that particular plot line is just ridiculous,infact the entire plot of having someone hold hospital patients hostage just so a doctor can treat your brother is ridiculous to start with, it does not hold water, I mean you literally want doctors to perform surgery under duress lol lol, I don’t even know what the fuss was about sef , Dr Amara could have also started the surgery and let the other doctor that was beaten guide the other doctors with the woman in labor but I guess agenda must agend 😅 The most ridiculous scene of all the ridiculousness of this entire movie is that the officers had enough time , more than enough sef to subdue Uzor after he was injected , he was already weak, but no they watched him catwalk all the way down and at the first weak attempt to hold a gun then they shot him, iranu! The movie is a big joke but nice attempt , E for Effort, State of emergency , that year 2000 movie about hostages evoked more emotions in me that this weak attempt at a hostage movie that was done in 2024.

      Glad you enjoyed it. I saw it in the cinema a couple of years back but I think I would've enjoyed it a little bitmore if I watched it on a streaming platform instead.

    Hello, you said you didn't know what drove Gaa to be power hungry. There was a scene, where young Gaa's watched his elder brother been flogged to death by a prince, when they had an altercation in the marketplace. I guess this was the reason, he wanted powers for himself and family, to control the royals(kings).

    I understand the repercussions for showing clips from movie you're reviewing but you can make your videos more interesting to watch by showing other clips of every actor you're reviewing their characters. It's boring just staring at one picture of you talking endlessly.

    😂I came here after watching the movie to see if a gentle soul will explain what the hell happened in the second half. This movie does not deserve any jollof abeg. I'll give it half eba without soup.

      Yepa! 'Half eba without soup'? 😱 Lolllll. Will you at least add water or a drink to it so that it doesn't choke on the eba? 😆

    On point review! I wasn't feeling the dialogue, i kept asking why use all those expletives? Rhats not how we talk.., nudity totally unnecessary; the dialaogue felt forced and unnatural, i couldnt find anyone i was rooting for. I lost interest about 20mins in but i had to finish it to know exaclyy where it was going. Now for the 2nd half, yes Tito, I felt totally lost, didnt know what was going on...was Zainab's character really killed and why?, did the Nosa guy become a bad guy or no? Like so many questions...was this a flashback or flash front, i felt lost at sea. Overall the effort was commendable but there was quite a lot lacking...

    I watch a lo of period movies on netflix and this one just did not cut it. One cam barely make out the name of the film and once wathing it seems very disconnected. Maybe is the voicetrack over the movie. I'm going g to keep watching , I love knollywood movies and was excited to finally see a period type movie about kings and families in africa but this feels disconnected

    It's your facial expressions for me😅. You'ld have played the role better if BAP had invited. I think now is the time for you to shoot your shots😅. You'll do well as an actor💯

    Let's agree the arrow didn't really penetrate and don't forget,he traveled a lot on horse, so he knows where he's going and must have rode with his remaining strength before getting to Ilorin, then on the issue of the women fighting, you should know they lived with a warrior, they can't be vulnerable, he must av one way or the other taught them how to use weapon to defend themselves not necessarily to fight war. So, most of these producers need us to go on with them with our minds basically for all that had read about the stories. Thanks for this review but House of Gas us a great movie.

    Unfortunately a lot of people weren’t able to piece together what brought about the power drunkeness of Bashorun Ga’a and the many loopholes because they haven’t read the book detailing his life before watching the movie. It would have however be great if BAP had made this into at least a two part series of the same two hours with the background story told etc. In all, my favorite character in the movie was Jblaze, he sure delivered his role and the emotions were there to make it so believable, alongside other characters who did great as well. Once again thanks for a review well delivered, I enjoyed it brotherly. 😊
