I liked what they tried to do with each episode, spotlighting different characters but I think that whole structure fell off at some points. Secondly, the build up from episode 1-4 was alright but from 5-6 felt disjointed with the whole supernatural stuff and what not. Thirdly, I loved that scene with Meg Otanwa and Gabriel Afolayan, what a brilliant performance 👏🏽 one won’t expect that his character would be discontinued so quickly. Overall, my experience watching inside life was a mild one and I can’t say I’m looking forward to the second season if there would be any
I found the visuals quite overwhelming in the beginning but I got the hang of it & actually enjoyed it. I absolutely agree with you. Too many loose ends and inconsistencies. Ep.1 did one thing & the remaining were on a frolic of their own. I also don’t like that narration by the man in that final episode was supposed to tie it all together. The episodes by themselves should’ve been solid enough to render the message.
Ofcourse we all expected the camera work, cinematography and editing to be perfect (which he delivered) but it would have been amazing to now see a story that matches that quality in cinematography and editing. That's where audience would have been 'wowed' the most. Oh! The kind of awards he would have gotten for this movie. But oh well, like you said, he doesn't do what everybody is doing so maybe he just wanted to share some of the ideas in his head and that's it! Thank you Tito for this review, this X people were making me feel like I was delusional abi I no sabi good thing when I see am. Sorry I don full comment 😅 make I run go back X. I'm gingered!😅
This was something that could have been really great. I even started to imagine the kinds of awards this series would have gotten if only it had a comprehensive storyline.
I think it was a good series, because I love the visuals. The work is more of experiment, an expression. But way above most Nigerian entertainment needs, am going to watch it again this coming weekend. Good Job Tito, sorry I disagree with you on this one... Lolz.
I was even suggesting that he could have gotten a/a group of good writers to put together a story for him so that everything ties together. Even if it meant paying for the story so that he gets the accolades
Tito i ran to Twitter to see what people were saying and i saw people gaslighting and saying that inside life was for deep thinkers and so if you didn't enjoy it then you're not. Please we don't even need a S2. It's okay like that.
What would have been wrong if he consulted with the bosses like Kemi Adetiba, Kunle Afolayan and Kayode Kasum (These are my top 3 in that order 😜) I'm sure they would have helped to find tune some edges for a good storyline. Imagine if Inside Life had Story✅ Cinematography✅ Acting✅ Editing✅ Pacing ✅ and even if the conclusion is a cliffhanger that would have still been great!
I felt the same way about Gabriel Afolayan’s character. He was such an interesting character and the conflict between him & his adversary in episode one was very compelling. It’s sad how things turned out.
Tito 😂..1.5 Jollof for INSIDE LIFE 👏.. There is no yawa sha ..you are still my favorite Nollywood film Critic...I will only say maybe you should watch it again without your preconceived notions or expectations... Just watch it for what it is not what you think it should be...but hey you are entitled to your opinions...nice One 👊👍
As I kept watching you speak, I literally couldn’t stop thinking about a similar movie he directed- HEX. Omo! Till I was done watching, I was confused.. 😂 Just thinking about it, I remember how confused I was that day. Loool. That said, I might not get to watch it, as it’s not in “the abroad” However, based on your analysis, my understanding is “that’s just life” Sometimes, things just happen… sometimes, it makes sense, sometimes it doesn’t… there’s not always repercussions for things in life… karma isn’t always a thing.. bad people don’t always die, good people don’t always find happiness or love.. Basically, AAAALLLOOOTTT of things are happening simultaneously in this life, and it’s just that… happenings. So that might be why there was no continuity or the episodes weren’t related. Anyway, you know it’s a limited series, so there’s nothing else to expect really. Lol. Pele Tito.. you sound pained
Have you seen LOST? Now imagine LOST ended in season 1 and then u have to wait for the rest of the seasons. Lol let’s wait for the rest of inside life and pls watch season 1 again sha.
I honestly think that you bother too much about people and what they think. Also I think you have to know that to create impact, you'd have to step on toes.
I was confused from the beginning to the end. The visuals were good but dark almost throughout. Why did evil pay off rather than good? too many questions.
He probably should have given us this introduction before, because I was just as confused as you were. Though the definition explained things to an extent. It still didn't cut it. Great Review cum Podcast 😅
I think Taye name is pronounced as Taiye, some people write it like that, please don't call him Taye like Taye Diggs! 😂 Inside life was like a chicken boiled with no salt or pepper. The visuals were fantastic, the story seemed like it was going well, but it didn't link oh, it was missing the link in hyperlink. It was a bit disturbing so it would have been good for it to at least be tied together to a considerable degree.... Most of the cast did very well and I honestly wished it was told better, I started to think it was editing that messed it up....
Yet another Nigerian show/film where attention to everything is given except the story. I have a dream that one day, Nigerian filmmakers will realize that story is actually important.
I totally enjoy watching your reviews even if I’m not seeing the movie, it’s how you’re so cautious. So sweet😅❤
Hahaha. Thanks a mil. Bless. 👊🏾
Thanks for the review Tito, I've been looking forward to it
Tito. Good afternoon. Please review "betrayed"....thanks

Finally i have been waiting for an update.

"What is the joy for me after siting for 3 hours" . Omo i feel your pain. You were really hurt and disappointed
But I enjoyed it, thanks for sharing your review. But I wished they built on Gabriel Afolayan character into small bigger and more.
I felt the same way about Gabriel Afolayan’s character. He was such an interesting character and the conflict between him & his adversary in episode one was very compelling. It’s sad how things turned out.

Pls review LISABI 🙏🙏🙏
Limited series means that there wouldn't be more seasons. But it's my understanding that there are supposed to be more seasons
Sigh. I suspect that this was intended to be a movie rather than a series and that’s part of the issue. Anyway, we wait.
I honestly think that you bother too much about people and what they think.
Also I think you have to know that to create impact, you'd have to step on toes.
Hmmmm. Noted.
House 9 is a must watch
This series wanted to stress Tito, I can hear the frustration in his voice.
Have been waiting for this.... lets go there!
I actually liked it. If he had just started the series from episode 2 and just deleted episode 1.
Tito get ready, there might be a part 2. Meaning sitting for 3 more hours and getting confused at the end,lol
Noooooooooooooooo!!! 😩😩😩 Lol.
"Nobody had a happy ending" lol.
I was confused from the beginning to the end. The visuals were good but dark almost throughout. Why did evil pay off rather than good? too many questions.
Cause this is real life
Come and join me in eating biscuits
He probably should have given us this introduction before, because I was just as confused as you were. Though the definition explained things to an extent. It still didn't cut it.
Great Review cum Podcast 😅
😄 Thanks Precious. 👊🏽
"The series brought me no joy" took me out 😅😅😅
Who else went to Nollywire to watch Clarence Peter interview and got more confused?
I cant be the only one
😂😂😂 You're not nice. Lol.
