    Glad you got things turned around. I also had a stint where I was less than who I should have been. Everyday I thank God for his deliverance and grace that was shown to me. Your stories and down to earth nature of relating them are what keep me coming back. Take care out there brother.

      @@bobbyknoth6985 no shame in that at all. They're just some things in life that get to us you know? On a very deep level. Keeping it bottled up inside is unhealthy. And it's not weakness to get emotional over things that you care about more than yourself

    Man this was deep, tho we have had differing life experiences I understand exactly what your saying. I have been into firearms my whole life far as I can remember. Hell in second grade I remember the concerned look on my teachers face when I responded I wanted to be a gunsmith when I grew up instead of an astronaut,I can only imagine that would get you tackled and subdued in the different world we live in today. That being said I understand what your saying as I experienced something similar once I got my ccp permit and started carrying. I always was somewhat of an isolationist at heart around strangers, but quite the social butterfly around people I know and trust. Being mostly isolated from society at work on a towboat for the last 20 years has made trips to the grocery store with my wife and kids an anger/anxiety inducing experience most of the time, especially with all the madness going on in the world these days. Driving on major highways in heavy traffic the same. Basically anywhere I found myself that it was unfeisable for the random people around me to allow me the amount of personal space I preferred would really get under my skin, and it would build with each additional instance to the point my kids doing the simplest something wrong would really set me off as I just want to be out of the situation before something bad happens. Counter intuitively carrying my little pocket pistol on me eliminated or greatly eased this problem to manageable levels for me. It forced me to not get wound up over the little harmless things that people did that in my upbringing was rude selfish and entitled. Because when you see that behavior you are forced to hold yourself to a higher standard when you have deadly force at your disposal. Same as on the roads. You look at someone do something rude or ignorant,it immediately hits you before you can even react that this is not worth the potential consequences and you let bygones be bygones. I have a friend with similar problems as I had and talked about it with him, same results. It has a strange way of calming you down and making you focus on your actions and responses to things. Anyway,I’m glad your here, I’m glad you made it, I’m glad you figured it out. Keep doing what you do, maybe you can help bring some folks up that otherwise wouldn’t make it. God knows we need more decent level headed people in this world.

      Thank you for sharing that with me. You absolutely 100% get it. That's exactly what it did for me and just forced me to take a look in the mirror and second-guess my actions, behavior and choices. And after a few years at carrying all of it just became habitual. It really does hit when you see somebody else behaving in a way you used to or close to the way you used to behave it hits 🎯💯. But it makes me smile because it makes me proud of all the changes that I've made. A lot of people talk about changing...none of them do it for the most part. But it reminds me that I did. Sounds like you did too 😊 and hey if you want to be a gunsmith I say you should still do it! PLEASE!!! And when you do move to Texas so I can take advantage of your services. The only gunsmiths still alive are just that, barely alive 😂! My gunsmith that I use is really good but he starting to get Shakey 😂.

      Man they are a dying breed for sure. I actually am in texas oldest town. And i have dabbled in gunsmithing on my own stuff, and friends that know im about that and trust me to tune stuff up for them. The rifle i talked about in comments on your lcp 22 video was actually the first thing i ever diagnosed and fixed when i was 8. And dads “Gunsmith” that told him it was unfixable didnt even bother to pull it apart, and dad just trusted his word. So thats how i got my first rifle. Shot that thing so much over the years im on the 3rd firing pin, 2nd lock up mechanism, 2nd extractor, and 3rd takedown pin. All i know is that rifle ate constantly 1-2 bricks of thunderbolts a week for 8 years from 8-16 years old. That rifle is an extension of me at this point. Anyhow ive always been mechanically inclined and fascinated with guns. But im pretty dedicated to playing engineer on a towboat these days. I ran my own automotive shop there for a while, and tho that was fun, im the kind that needs steady income, figure a mechanic shop for guns would be similar. The world keeps swirling around the bowl tho, who knows, i might end up there before its all said and done, i never expected to be working on a boat 20 years ago.

      I love tattoos. I just wish that I'd have been... More mature about its placement when I got it. In fact I wish I had waited longer than 18 to get one. A lot of people think that I am a convict neo Nazi 😂😂😂 even out here in Texas 😂😂😂 couldn't be further from the truth. Been to jail a couple of times and definitely no neo Nazi. No hardened criminal here 👍 but unfortunately when people look at me that's what they think

    As I said, you advised The Ruger lr for defense. What is the downside of the obvious using this defense? What I mean is having the assailant surviving the attack on you; then having you arrested and 😢put in jail. Please give me your thoughts.
    Best Wishes.

    • @brokeboytactical4397
      @brokeboytactical4397  Рік тому +3

      I already did give you my thoughts on this. It's just going to depend on your state laws. I'm from Texas if I'm not from your state I can't answer this question. I'm also not a lawyer. Is definitely something I would pay a lawyer consultation for. But I do know your assailant can't have you put in jail that's not how it works. The state will put you in jail. The state will conduct an investigation and then you will go to court and you will be found innocent or guilty and if you are found innocent in a stand-your-ground law state he can't come after you civilly which means he can't sue you. But again that's just in my state. You may have a duty to retreat Claus. So if you're found guilty or innocent in court you can be civilly held responsible.
