Can You Put Over-The-Tire Tracks on a New Holland Skidsteer??
The Chevy 6500 w/ Allison “2750” has a GCVW of 37k. Looks like you bought the wrong truck.
You’re seriously going to blame them for YOUR poor installation of the doors and for being able to see spray foam you did yourself? 😂. Classic case of you getting what you paid for. They are designed as storage units or coverings not “ shops”.
@jasoncardoza6375 the point to that statement was that you shouldn't see spray foam. The frame outs for the doors were way out of square and in the case of that particular door, the dimensions were way off as well. A door installer shouldn't have to waste tons of extra time because the framer was so careless.
Chris, do you plow or move snow with your New Holland? I was thinking about getting a tractor with a snowblower attachment but worried about not having a cab cover. Would that be an issue with blowing snow? It would not be fun to be covered in snow while snow blowing during a snowstorm.
@nonshlnt yes I have. I used to have a 6' snowblower for the three point hitch. If it was windy, and the snow was fluffy, you did have to be careful where you blew the snow so it didn't come back on you. If it wasn't windy or the snow was wet, it wasn't really a concern. Mine did have a hydraulic chute on it so if it was windy you could change direction quickly.
Damn bro sto complaining. Just get a other tractor. Just stop haiting on the poor thing
Nice thorough maintenance - good to go come spring. Question - you moved any round bales around with that tractor?
@HumbleHaymakers Thank you. Yes I have. They were only 4x4 dry bales though. Both rear tires are loaded. These hydro tractors are so efficient when it comes to loader work.
@@dehavenfamilyfarm Thanks!
Buy the kit and do it yourself
Well it’s Sunday and some people have lives. Just like you
Nice job Chris, I've got to get my 504 Utility service but can't find all the points. I need to get a service manual ordered. Thanks for sharing and hope you have a blessed week coming up my friend.
@RandWFarmstead-TonyWalsh Owners and service manuals definitely make maintenance easier. I try to buy them whenever I purchase another antique tractor. Thank you Tony!!
Dang, they really knew how to hide that filter!
@Jason1Pa Definitely challenging to get to. I suppose if the tractor didn't have the loader frame on it, it would be very accessible. But you don't see many of these tractors without loaders. Thanks!!
Man yeah, a good service and ready for the season!! Looking fwd to seeing the Milwaukee light 😁 I would LOVE to have an indoor shop one day that had a door! Thank you Mr Chris for bringing us along, look fwd to seeing what's next😁😁👌🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇲🇺🇲
@Pennies_on_the_dollar I have only had one chance to use the new light, but I really like it. It took me over 10 years to get to the point where I am with my shop. I have no doubt you will get there too. Thanks Nelson!!
@dehavenfamilyfarm 😁😁
Seems like I didn't always have problems with filters. There was more room, and my fingers were more flexible. I tend to be loyal to elder vehicles, and tractors for that reason. Thank you Chris.
I agree. New technology just keeps packing more electronics and crap on trucks and equipment taking up space. Thanks Bryce!!
Nice work Chris. All ready to go for another season.
@farmerpete Thank you Pete 🙂 I sure hope so!!
Engineering at it finest...lol. I've never understood why filters can't just be standard.. as in the same filters for the same class, or size tractors across the board. And have them all easily accessible, but protected. Nice service video! Thank you Chris!!
It gets better Ed. Two former employers limited the engine to a single engine model for that reason. Current employer owns Cummins, Detroit, and Paccar engines. It was worse, but the two Maxforse engines died.
@brycewiborg8095 lol. And we have a little of everything.. only things in common are the service truck, combine and the IH tractor all take the same engine oil filters. Both Case-IH tractors are the same too.. otherwise, everything is different.
@@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin Because that would make too much sense 🤣🤣🤣 Thank Ed!!
Good morning Chris ☕☕☕
@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin Good morning Ed!!
Didn't you have a new CaseIH that you returned? Gonna have to go check out your old videos.
@FarmallFanatic Yes. I bought a new A series years ago. It had problems from the moment I got it. At one point, it was gone from the farm for over 6 months while they tried to fix it. About 4 months into the 6, they gave me a brand new tractor as a loaner. That had some of the same issues as mine. Finally, they gave me a replacement tractor because mine was still broken. They replacement tractor was 2 horsepower sizes up from mine, which was a nice upgrade. However, the first time I drove it, a warning light came on. That was it for me. I traded it in on a Kubota. No more new Case IH stuff for me. I understand than things will have issues, but the company drug things out for a long period of time before they finally did anything about it. Customer service is very important to me. There are various videos along the way documenting this. I should probably put them in a playlist.
Thank You Chris, this was awesome, I like that NH, I experience the same with comment notifications, as a rule I checked every morning on my channel Community for replies from my previous videos, it sucks to get no notifications
Notifications SUCK! I do the same. Very time consuming, but I don't want people thinking I'm a jerk..
It is an extremely versatile little tractor to have and important maintain it properly. I did watch and comment on your last video too. Thank you Jan 🙂
@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin I have lots of unanswered comments on my channel so lots of people probably think I am a jerk 🤣🤣🤣 After the first 24 hours or so, the video notifications seem to become random.
@dehavenfamilyfarm lol.. notifications are random from the very first comment. Seems like I'll get notified of the third or fifth comment, then maybe the tenth.. might get a notification of a random reply. So I spend some time going and looking. And of course, always 2 to 5 minutes late. So it's not like it used to be, where you can have a conversation as if you're texting.. but that's Gooble for you 🙄
@@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin Thank You Ed
Looks like a poor made kit building, you get what you pay for
This is a perfect example of a buyer, not understanding what these buildings are. What a piece of "CORNER" trim is vrs what they used as a corner. Things like sealing the corners PRIOR to installing corners. Useing SILL SEALER UNDER the bottom rail, between the steel and the concrete. Then trim any excess and fully seal the bottom rail, both inside and outside. PRIOR to installing siding. The list goes on and on. Know what your getting for a standard install. Know what you expect for a completed job. There is a Very Big Difference. A storage structure, suitable for equipment, is not the same or suitable for a structure you are going to finish out. That's why I pay 25% when ordered, 25% when delivered, 25% when framed and sheeted, and final 25% after it's fully inspected. But, I tell them what I require for sealing out Mice, Water, Blowing Rain, & Insects. What my final use will be. A finished floor plan. And I'm prepared to do these extras as the crew puts it up. I had a 30x60 put up start to finish in 10.5 hours. But it was only suitable as a equipment shed. To upgrade it to a finished multi use building can take 25 to 30% more labor for those extras. Know the base products limitations BEFORE you start. Just like scratches caused by rough handling is totally unacceptable on all painted metal. If they expect to receive that final 25%. Require it to be water proof, insect proof, plumb & square. BEFORE signing anything or making a deposit. Your comments about expected quality will determine which installation crew they send. Remember, your dealing with a SALES PERSON, NOT THE INSALLER. That sales person will tell you anything to ink that contract. What you receive will vary dramatically.
Don't touch up nothing. Demand the panels be replaced.
Extra $70 for fishing equipment that works for me.
The Ol' IH 544 sounds pretty good after that "Cold Start". Thanks for the COLD ride along. Think I'll go get a Hot Chocolate or some coffee now & try to warm back up. LOL
@@crslyrn It's been a good tractor for us. If you ever want to sell your 06, just let me know!
@dehavenfamilyfarm Kinda hard to part with the Ol' Workhorse that the 806 is. Probably have to really be hurting to let it go. 🙂
@crslyrn I completely understand 🙂
Would have been better with a pole building, strapped and steel siding installed correctly. Doors and windows framed with lumber.
Time to put the name of company out there. I would like to know.
@steveleverett300 Unfortunately, the matter is not settled yet, so I cannot say at this time 😕
Allways enjoy the 544, I have 504 Farmall dedicated to tractor rides. I also have 606 loader tractor with only one tire loaded. You know what happens on a hill side in soft wet ground with that loader. 606 is helpless, Thought about adding tire chain to the un weighted side ??
@cathymuehring893 I want to put tires on it soon, and plan to fill both the new tires. Thanks for watching 🙂
I hope it didn't get scrapped
@dakotasconzert3700 Nope. Still sitting exactly the way we parked it.
Nothing wrong with man math😅
@@Jason1Pa I didn't think so either 😁
You are definitely supposed to spend all available funds, especially when it comes to tools! 😂
@@ihfarmer8164 🤣 I couldn't agree more!
Sounds to me the building dealer contracts out the install to sub contractors who are in a hurry to make a profit and move on to the next job. 😢
Thanks for going through this I'm strongly considering getting a maximum tractor and this was very informative
No, that's Women Math...we've just caught on to their game .....
@@brenterickson1695 🤣🤣🤣
How well did this hold up? I bought a cat bucket at a great price but I’ve got to put the Kubota mount on it. I’m wanting to do it myself just wondering what sticks you used to weld all that?
@joeydalia2572 It has held up ok. The hydraulic cylinder that tilts the bucket is too small for my bigger machine. If you tilt it, you can't put a lot of pressure on it or the cylinder gets over powered. I used 7018 rods.
More pennies to spend 🤣🤣🤣
@@Pennies_on_the_dollar Exactly the way I figure it! 🤣
@@dehavenfamilyfarm 😉😉😉🤣🤣
Yes! It’s like free money! That’s what I figure.
@@farmerpete I absolutely agree!! 😃
That's how I figure it!! 👍😎
@@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin Definitely! 😃
So you are the guy that had so much hell out of the new cases. You also had a new kubota. So, you got rid of all your new tractors with cabs and went back to the old cases ( look to be in excellent shape )? I agree, those older cases like the 5250 were wonderful tractors. I like the new tractors, but they all seem to stay torn up or too light in the butt for real work . I salute you.
Never heard of Man Math. Learn something new every day !
@@brycewiborg8095 Me either until this incident 🤣
That’s called women’s math. My wife taught me that years ago.
@@onehappyfarmer3461 🤣🤣🤣 Mine didn't 😁
That's how my math works. You can get two tools for the price of one. LOL.
@@VintageFarm1086 My thoughts exactly!! 😀
Nice rig 👍
In your opinion how’s a 91’ 5140. 4x4 is it similar to yours?
@oldschoolman6572 As long as it looks well maintained, they are a great tractor. A 4x4 version would be very similar to my tractor.
@ thanks Looking forward to hearing that Cummins running strong
I was interested in these, but I've yet to see one happy customer, that's the sad reality so I'm going back to a wood structure, thanks for the video.
Y isn't the steel vertical. The corners don't seal
You bought yourself a carport with siding on it.. they are cheap buildings.. i hope it doesn't snow a whole lot in your area.
That's not a piece of corner trim... that's looks like header trim
Cheap labor
They thought you weren't going to see the small problems.
I have a newly purchased a 2022 kubota kx 71-3 and have three days on it clearing brush and trees from a 1980 graveled road on my property. I love how the kubota lets you know when your exceeding it's capabilities. It beeps at me to let me know and once when I pushed it too hard trying to swivel a locked in long branch it shut down for 10 minutes. Just telling me to cut that crap out.
its been over a year..you promised an update
@calikokat100 Unfortunately this matter is not yet resolved, so I can't say anything yet.
I have the same tractor with the C200 gas engine. Mine was purchased new by my dad and we used it on our Dairy. Mainly used it in the winter to spread manure.I am 90% complete of a year long restoration. Just have to paint some sheet metal and the front end. It was a mess when I started the rebuild. Those engines are under rated and rare.
@randyvilleneuve4907 that's awesome that it has been in the family for so long. I hope to restore this one someday. Send me some pics when you are finished 🙂
Brings back memories. Back when I was milking cows for a living I hauled manure every day in the winter. Can’t say I miss it 🙂 544 sounds good.
@farmerpete it definitely can be challenging during the winter. We are lucky and only have to haul every week or so. Sounds pretty good for a gas tractor. Thank you Pete 🙂
