Holy Schmokes, I think you've beaten that poor tiller into submission or atleast you've beaten it into parade rest. Dang that field is littered with rocks. 👍🏽🤠 05/19/24
Wow,that thing has been a good one if for 15 years it's been tilling in that soil😳 Man the rocks, I thought of you the other day. I was chisel plowing and grabbed a boulder about the size of a skid steer tire🤣 Very very unusual for here! Looking fwd to seeing that bio plastic getting installed, sounds pretty challenging!! Thank you Mr Chris for bringing us along , look fwd to hay season as well!! 😁😁👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
I have soil similar you yours, I've had a few rocks get wedged between the tines and the body and stall out the tractor. I think that's what happened to you, then it fell out and was laying on the ground on the right side of the video. I've learned to till with one hand on the PTO lever, am usually quick enough to stop it before much strain is put on the unit.
Looks great! That tractor-tiller is a nice combo…👍
Thank you! Yes, that New Holland is a good size for using all types of attachments.
Those tillers take a beating....15 years of heavy use is a miracle lol
Sure is! I believe it's on its last leg now. Hopefully I can make it through Spring tilling.
Great job Chris and that is one tough tiller my friend. Blessed wishes with your pumpkins this year and hope you have a blessed week ahead too.
It sure is. Thank you! Fingers crossed it will be a good growing season 🤞
Those are just baby rocks 🤦♂️🙄 😂
I have plenty of big ones too 🙃 Usually find a couple each year that have to be dug out with the excavator. One this neither of us has a shortage of 🤣
Good grief...never seen so many rocks 😂
I can show you much more
PA has rocks ? I'm shocked ! Lol.
@@brycewiborg8095 Yeah you probably are

. So can I, my ground bleeds rocks 🪨

It has taken quite a beating all these years! We keep picking them, but there is always a new crop that pops up each year 😆 Thanks!
Great video!! Not sure if I ever witnessed someone using a tiller for that much of a area. Did very good.
That tiller did a real nice job preparing the seedbed.
I have found it to be the best option for getting ground prepped for what we plant. Thanks Jeff!

It has- but I don't believe it will last much longer. It's always fun to hit those unexpected rocks 😂 Thank you Nelson!
Good enough ! Patch the tiller together for another year.
I'm in board with the biodegradable.
Thank you Chris.
Yup- trying to keep it glued together for another season 😄 Thanks Bryce!
Love this content and video. Love tiller usage and how it impacts the ground!
Thank you!

15 years plowing thru those rocks, that thing is a unicorn.
I agree- I'm surprised it has held up this long 😂
Really does a great job
Yeah- pretty good for stoney ground 🙂
Have you thought of changing your name to DeHaven Family Gravel quarry? 😁 Glad you got it tilled.
Might have to do that!!
Good morning Chris ☕☕☕
Tiller or rock crusher?
They actually do make it rock crushing tiller, would work great for you!
I've never seen one of those before- I'll have to look it up. Thanks Ed!!

I agree- I think it was a rock too. Usually I closely monitor what's going on, but I was trying to film this video 🙃
Great video Chris, can you cut and bale the sections in between the rows or will you cut it just short
Thanks Jan! It would be awesome if I could but the strips are too narrow.
Engage the pot before raving the rpm up. It well makes pot clutches and gear boxes last longer.
I am sorry you may have engaged 1st. I didn’t see your hand to the left at first.
That was odd, it killed the tractor. I'm glad it wasn't anything serious. Good luck with the pumpkins.
Yes it was. I think the perfect size rock got stuck in there. Thank goodness for a slip clutch!
