    Thanks for the "review" Ely. I also have a GFX (50Sii) which files are absolutely fantastic but I enjoy very much the Nikon Zf and its files. As for lenses on the Zf, try the AF-S NIKKOR 58mm f/1.4G with an adapter. Amazing lens. Brand new it's much to expansive but you can get them second hand for a good price. I also use old Minolta Rokkor's lenses and they work just fine. Take care.

      that 58mm 1.4 is magical. Used it on an a7RII years ago with manual focus.

    Hello it work fine with the old Ak-B01 with 2 np-f batteries?but they produce 7,2Vx2 = 14.4V its less than it ask? the powerbank with 5A it will be big or i make some mistake?

    've been using Fuji for a long time and I'm very attracted by Nikon style. The only doubts are how the files will be processed and whether I'll be able to get used to Nikon color. I couldn't find any decent RAW files for testing. Many thanks for the RAW files, these are exactly the shots I needed for the processing test.

    Thankyou so much for showing usb-c since I was wondering how far it can be pushed... im guessing if the mobile battery can output PD100w then it can utilize the 100w of the unit? I dont know much about voltage and I know the V mount battery has a higher voltage (compared to mobile battery like Anker) that can be sustained for prolonged use.

    • @ThePhotographerGuy

      Yes. but the USB-C port put out less for some reason. The D-TAP and DC port was fine with the V-Mount.

    Great, insightful review! I'd love to hear more about the sling bags or small backpacks you used to tote around this rather dense camera for your family outings--a PD 6L sling? I'm trying to plan how to make this heavy camera as enticing and frictionless as possible to pick up and take with me on casual walks. I too am tall with larger hands, so I don't mind a larger, heavier camera, as long as it has very satisfying tactile controls and great IQ. The Zf tick s all my boxes. Now I have to figure out what few lenses and bag(s) combo will make me want carry it often. Thanks for sharing all your impressions, complete with your processing and strap/ carry tips. Hmmm, my R5 boots up really fast, and I've had many thousands of images on the chip. What firmware are you on? I also preordered with my local dealer, so who knows if I'll get the first batch, but I can wait. I'm getting the cooling grip too and need 3 extra batteries.

    • @ThePhotographerGuy
      @ThePhotographerGuy 4 дні тому

      I have the latest firmware and turned off the shutter closing option. It is still noticeably slower than the R6 II, A7 Cii, Nikon ZF, and x100IV. I leave my cameras on at work, but for personal use with my family the delay get's annoying.

    picturewise the images i get from it are perfect for me, it is full of details, alive and it give those result with an absolute ease thanks to the focus (not a sport guy). the only downside is the size it is mega mega bulky...like it is a tank. the grip even with the 40 F2 is an absolute necessity...it is a piece of art to make art. but for day to day life believe me you won t make a lot of picture because you won t carry it a long time. free review guys.

    This is probably my dream camera right now (along with a GFX). What are the downsides of going Canon? Are you able to say anything in terms of quality/lenses/flashes, processing files, cost and so on? I currently shoot x-series and love it but I am concerned that recent bodies cut quality and raised prices overall (I don’t see a real upgrade at the moment from my 2018 body). No problem with the lenses though!

    • @ThePhotographerGuy
      @ThePhotographerGuy 4 дні тому

      Downside for the R5 II. Price. haha. I have used APC for fun but i wouldn't use it for work personally. I could, but it's just way easier to rely on a full frame camera to get the job done. Autofocus and image quality will always be better. When spread across 400,000 images per year, Full frame wins for me.

    Hey Eli, could you test the R52’s AF system if it is indeed better at accuracy (little to no false positives) and tracking speed? Much has been made about the dedicated sports AF modes much haven’t heard much if the “regular” AF modes are leaps better or about the same since it didn’t get the R1’s cross type focus spec. Had experience with the R5 giving false positives (it shows it’s tracking but the actual image is OOF). Also could you try the new feature that reports on OOF images? Curious if it works well as a fail safe to notify the user to redo the shot. Thank you! And enjoy the new R52s!

    The crop factor applies to aperture.

    • @ThePhotographerGuy
      @ThePhotographerGuy 6 днів тому

      It doesn't change the amount of light entering the sensor or the lens character. I does allow for a perceived shallower depth of field if you get closer.

    • @ferdinandbardamu3945
      @ferdinandbardamu3945 2 дні тому

      @@ThePhotographerGuy It doesn’t change the amount of light per square millimeter but the larger sensor has more square millimeters so it gets more light. This is why the equivalent aperture changes by the crop factor. To get the same amount of light on the small sensor you’d need a larger aperture so the small sensor can get the same amount of light as the large sensor.

    I just picked up a R6MK2, and need to get a couple of lenses. Im coming from a 80D using Tamron lenses. My main interests in photography are local club bands, motorsports, (NHRA, Indy, MotoAmerica), and airshows. Hopefully, im not wasting your time, but would you recommend this lens coupled with either the 24/70 2.8 or the 28/70 2.0. Also, what is your opinion on the 100-500 4.5-7.1 to replace my Tamron 150-600? I still intend to use my D80 at airshows and sporting events, so i don't need to replace everything immediately , but would appreciate any input as to what to expect, or even what to purchase first. I'm a new subscriber to your channel, but like what I've seen so far. Thank you for your time.
