In this video, we'll take you on a journey to explore the city's hidden treasures and historic landmarks. Starting with a fun flight from Tambor, Costa Rica into San Jose we get lost in multiple places with the help of a cabbie and also our own horrible navigational skills...

Can you relate?

My nightmare, getting dragged out into the ocean in a rip current while photographing surfers...well, it happened. Also, some fun before that, a beach party and some more monkeys.
Everyday Costa Rica | Climbing waterfalls | Running from bulls and a howler monkey photo session.
Переглядів 572Рік тому
The one with the rodeo bulls, climbing into waterfalls in Montezuma, and a portrait session with some howler monkeys. Montezuma Waterfall is a blast in the summer months, we climbed into the actual waterfall this time and it was an experience! Currently, the roof of my house is apparently a super highway for howler monkeys, I was able to do a little portrait session with a few of them and I'm s...

I ALMOST Got Stuck On a Remote Cemetery Island At High Tide - Cabuya, Costa Rica 2022
The toilet paper thing is a local myth like the boogey man. The sewage system handles it just fine. That said, I would immediately install a bidet on any personal toilet, because the quality of local toilet paper is terrible, it irritates the anus, and crumbs. Also bidet is just awesome and can solve a lot of other anus issues.
Sick hat. Where’d you get that?
That's my goal man. Once I get my diploma and about 2-3 years of work experience in the computer science field. I want to GTFO from canada and work remotely in costa rica. Thanks for proving us it's definitely possible!
You can’t pump your own gas

Do you need to speak another language other than english to live there?
Great video and thank you for sharing!
whats the point in this video... u show nothing, just walking around flipin scenses
What lens were you using for the surf videos?
nice
Great shots brother, I really like your work. One of the very few vlogs I've actually enjoyed! I'm on the west coast of Mexico and this area has a bit of surfing but is world class skimboard country. The bay where I live is a stop on the SkimUSA tour as well as a stop for a couple of Mexican tours. While I am not shooting professionally, I think we live somewhat similar lives, and like you, I have nothing to complain about. Keep up the great work!
Good job with your video incliding the iphone part. I was born in Antigua but I was taken abroad as a child. Antigua was a very quiet small town before tourism. Now many residential homes in the center have been converted into hotels, cafes, boutiques, souveneer shops etc. Traffic is awful especially trucks and big buses. The original cobble stones on the streets were smooth squares now they are irregular and rough. It is good that you mentioned them because the sidewalks are also rough to navigate. Antigua is definitely not easy for people with mobility issues. Back then almost every house was painted white and just a few homes pale yellow and pink, now it's like a circus but the colors energize. Despite all the changes I walk on clouds when I go there. Antigua is a feast for the senses. Next time you go there be sure to try Guatemalan food, visit the ever lava spewing Pacaya volcano (safer than Fuego Volcano) and either use Google maps or get a map since Antigua proper is about 9x9 blocks. The huge volcano you see from almost everywhere is Volcan de Agua which is non operational (I can't remember the technical term.) Is south of the city. People are super nice so asking for directions is easy.
I am a wedding DJ in Halifax, and I would like to join you!!
Leave every 180 days for 1 day, now in Costa Rica 🇨🇷
My brother in law is broke here in Canada with 4 kids is it possible for him to move there
Are you still enjoying Costa Rica?
It is a great place
Holy moly, guacamole… You got more tattoos than then you can shake a stick at… It puts Popeye to shame.👍
Hey mate looking at upgrading from an xt3 to a xh2s. When filming surfing and panning do you notice skipping from the ibis and do you disable lens stabilisation? Just wondering if they have ironed out this issue as I need to do all filming with no stabilisation on the xt3z
So if we drop in to San Jose and want to exchange usd we can expect long wait times? Or just out there by Santa Teresa?
Nice video thanks man! 😅

Nice work hermano! I'm binge watching surf photography vids ahead of my upcoming return to CR and can not wait. Should you find your way down south in Dominical look me up. I will be spending the next 6 months surfing and/ or shooting in water surf photos. Pura Vida.
Pura Vida!
If i knew then what i know now, i will be living in C.R. fulltime by now.❤❤❤
For sure!
In Barbados....i am beginning to enjoy surf photography....thanks for the tips
Best of luck!
This is amazing, thanks for sharing! Would love to see another demo on how to drive a manual from your perspective, with a pedal cam too if you get a chance again sometime!
For sure!
lol that rooster!!! that would drive me insane
Yes!
Being in the Zone... That's what you felt!!!! Great photos! Keep on clicking!!!!
Thank you! Will do!
Always repping the JRE podcast. Happy your boy gets to hear that stuff at a young age. Really broad perspective in all those pods for a young kid to soak up. Pods weren’t around when I was a kid. Or they weren’t popular anyway.
It’s the best.
Tunes and slo mos of the surfers was fantastic!!
Thanks!
“4:20 is good!?” Of course it is brotha!!
Ahaha
Edit of your son on the beach was unreal
Thanks!
More more!!!
Sound is good, edit is good! Buena vida
Appreciate it!
Cool photos man! I'm literally in a similar position because I've also just got into surf photography/videography and can't wait for the season to start again soon. I'm also using a Fujifilm camera and lens myself (X-T4 and XF70-300). You have the XH-2S and XF100-400 right? Would like to know your prefered autofocus settings. For me, I started action photography using Zone AF, but I've started using Single Point more and I fell it's probably better for both photo and video regarding surf. Is that what you use?
Exactly bro. That’s what I use outside and inside the water. Thanks for the nice words!
Wow, editing and quality of your channel is 1M sub worthy. Keep them coming!
Wow, thanks! More coming soon! Life got in the way lately.
great video
Thanks!
I would love the whole barefoot thing there ❤
The best!
looks amazing!
It was!
great video! great photos too!
Thanks so much!
just found you thru shauninparadise. I found shaun cuz we have a casita in a neighboring town in mx. great guy! been watching him since his first one. you've got a cool vlog. i'll watch more. safe travels.
Thanks bro!
Hi! Such a nice video. Thanks for sharing about Costa Rica. I’m curious if you’ve been to Bali before. I tried staying here for a year but realized that it’s just too touristic for me and the asian culture is a bit too aggressive for me. Costa Rica, however, seem to be more livable long term from what I’ve seen so far. Super excited for my next trip.
Not yet! But we plan to visit at some point!
Awesome job Ben; you did really well for your first time! Just curious, does he like/prefer driving barefoot; I'm a learner myself and I always wonder what's best (shoes, socks, thongs, barefoot etc.)
Honestly we both like it better. I seem to drive barefoot a lot more now!
Fair enough, should definitely do another video teaching Ben reversing and other manoeuvres
Hi. Love your videos! Do you share info for Canadians to come there visit and then after if they want to relocate? I also want to do vlogging when I move out of Canada.
I suggest a good long visit first and travel around to see what you enjoy. CR has gotten drastically expensive recently. So much so the locals are having a tough time and that really sucks!
The music sounds like an 80's porn show 😅
Ahahaha. Only so many options.
What are you doing for a living? Is there job opportunities for System analytics ? Thank you
Not sure, most work remotely.
I’m on PEI. We are starting the process to head over that way too.
All the best. Costa is amazing.
I love the chicken, pork and fish in Costa Rica, occasionally the beef can be tough
Very true!
This was a great video
Glad you think so!
