The CRAZIEST place I've ever driven.

- There may be other crazier places to drive, but I have never been there so this one tops the list for me. Crazy may the wrong word for it, but it is intense! Going for a leisurely Sunday drive in this town is impossible. All in good fun, I love this place but driving is a different world here.

I've been all over central America, and Costa Rica driving is the most Insane .
The people here are just not afraid to die !
Passing on blind curves, driving in every lane, motorcycles with 3 and 4 passengers, no turn signals, and more chaos...
I've been coming down for over 25 years, and it's gotten insane in the last 10 , especially in the beach towns like Samara.
I love 🇨🇷, but the driving has become a real negative, people are just idiots !
Thanks for the comment Howard, you’re right! I haven’t encountered anything too life threatening yet, fingers crossed I don’t! I won’t let it ruin CR for me though.

Sweet! La Fortuna is so cool. I wasn’t a fan of MA. We went to see monkeys and there wasn’t a single one. Then we walked across the street (back in the town we were staying in) to a trail and saw about 50. Tortuga Island is supposed to be amazing, I’m planning that soon. There is a lot to do here! Any other questions, just reach out.
Awesome vid. I drove through Mexico and the worst was tulum to cancun and peurto morelos, its probably the most insane. Drove some sick miles in CR and its insane too but has nothing on Mexico. Bro, If you can drive in N. Sydney or Halifax you can drive anywhere lol

I lived in Puerto Rico in my twenties, and it was crazier than anything I experienced in Costa Rica. People honking everywhere lol. That said, I currently live in Houston Texas, and people here are nuts! We have road rage shootings weekly and traffic is worse than it’s ever been. One of the main reasons I am looking to relocate to beautiful CR 😎
Ahahaha! Wow! I'm grateful for no shootings, that's for sure! It isn't that bad here thankfully. I hear Austin is a great place! Let me know when you land in CR!
@@cape2costa will do my friend. I am trying to decide which area suits me best. Been to Playa Flamingo/Portrero area in August, and then Jaco, Manuel Antonio and Uvita at the beginning of December. I really loved the areas we visited in December. Tons of wildlife

Tortola , BVI 's - American left side driver cars and British rules driving - my wife screammed to "get over" ,every time a car was coming at us because she was in the passager seat -in the middle of the road - plus the narrow mountain road switchbacks - almost died a couple times taking the turns on the inside with oncoming traffic . Plus one, 3 or 4 lane roundabout in the main town - ok when not busy, but try to get out of the roundabout when busy driving the wrong way I'm use to . i think i went around 10 times before i took a chance and made a move. I havent drove in St Teresa yet burt i've driven across the west shore of CR, and in San Jose . The road to La Fortuna from Liberia ,along the north side of Lake Arneal can be scary . More of a speed thing than too much traffic .

Im fairly new to youtube - wasnt sure how to post . Ill be driving more in Costa Rica in the future - so probably have a sketchier driving experience sooner or later - hopefully not ! 🤙

I honestly believe that’s it. I watch the sunset every night and then by the time 730pm comes I’m gonzo! Then I’m up again with the sun. It’s in my dna I think! 🤙🏻
Where is the most sketchy place you have ever driven? Let me know! Costa Rica is night and day compared what I have been used to in Canada.

@@johnvanderheyden3057 Dude, you win! That sounds crazy. I did Liberia and La Fortuna drive, it wasn't that bad for us but it was not high season either. Going through the rain forest was amazing. Those hills and views...I cannot wait to go back to get more filming there.

can I ask - are you renting the Jimny ? or did you buy it ? Im building a house in Playa Grande -ive rented the Jimny twice and love if for when Im in Costa Rica -small -nimble and 4x4 and was thinking of getting one .

@@johnvanderheyden3057 I went used! Price Auto Sales, they are near San Jose, sort of. I contacted Doug, the owner on Facebook and he got me exactly what I wanted, did most of the modifications that I wanted as well. I highly recommend them. I'm not sure about a waitlist to be honest, a friend of mine here just got one at the Suzuki dealership in San Jose last week.
