Idakota Outside E1: Fall Idaho Panfish
Переглядів 1,4 тис.4 роки тому
Fall panfish beatdown in Idaho! My first attempt at filming and editing a video. Decent weather and a fantastic bite made it a fun and enjoyable afternoon on the water.
This is some of the best. setups I've seen, people basically now can have all the comforts of home, cooking, heat, Internet, etc in these tiny spaces. Only thing I would do additional is add a smoke/CM detector. Not because anything looks dangerous it all looks better quality that what you see in RVs.
It took me a good five minutes before I realized this wasn't a coffin bed looking at the thumbnail 😅🧛
I thought the same thing 😂😂😂😂
I love my 2013 Taco. It is an extended cab not a crew cab.
Where do you keep yor guns?
I’ve watched way too many of these reviews and this is the best I’ve seen as well as the nicest install. The only drawback I can see is you loose the ability to quickly remove the canopy or camper but having said that, a very nice and secure and tidy install.
Ugh -how tacky does that spacer look?! Great work -but I cannot get over that spacer is not stained or painted. Hahahaha Come on man - do better 😂 Just kidding brah -nice set up and thanks for sharing!
Best setup so far I have seen,
Looks like a 4 season system awsome thankyou great job.
Are you still happy with your Diesel heater?
Great build and video. I don't think I'd change anything. Cutting a hole in the truck bed to exhaust the heater though - it's necessary, but ouch!
Awesome job my friend
Excellent info!!!!
What is the power supply for the heater?
Maaaaan!! That is the exact set up I would need for my Tacoma. Thanks for the tips. My neighbor is an electrician so I’d have to have him help with all the wiring. 😂
It seems the F-150 Powerboost would be a great starting point for a truck camper build. Easy power to run portable AC.
Pro Tip: if you're patient, you can find camper shells for free. It took a few weeks of scouring Marketplace and Craigslist, but now I've got a white high top topper, Lear or ARE, for free. I think it's for a Chevy so on my Ford F-250 Super Duty it's not an exact fit, but it does work, and for the money, $30 in fuel to get it, it's perfect. I got a free regular height one for my one F-350 about 10 years ago as well. Patience is money sometimes.
What will you do when the truck heads to the junk yard in 2 years?
This truck was traded in 2 years ago.
You forgot to list and show your stove
Great review, you are a natural at this 👍
Great video , ive 1 diesel heater vevor all im one. Im planing on instilling , but ive a question. Can i leave the intake from inside the truck bed ? Ive my truck topper and my bed in there u know. Or the intake has to be out side the truck ? Ive Co2 detector and im planing on leaving my teuck topper window open 3 or 4 inch.
Have you thought of. Having the exhaust come thru the bumper . Maybe thru a. Faux trailer light hookup you would have to be metal of course
Hi. Thanks for your information on the camper setup. I'm not sure how the diesel heater exhaust you vent to the outside. I see the whole unit is inside the cabinet. Are you have any concern of Carbon Monoxide build-up inside te cabin?
The Vevor heaters are great. Parts and accessories are cheep and readily available on Amazon. Lots of UA-cam vids with tutorials on installation, troubleshooting use and repair. I’ve installed 4 own 1 and have repaired one of the units with ease.
Video starts at 2:15. You're welcome
What kind of amps does it pull being the 2kw heater? Would a 100 amp hour marine battery off a 200 watt solar set up be sufficient to run this heater? I'm researching it all before I buy one this week for my van. Thanks!
Did you ever figure this out?
I’ve not measured exactly power usage, but I can run this 4-5 days on and off on a camping trip using my 100ah lithium deep cycle battery. Truth be told, maybe longer - I’ve never run the battery out on a trip. I don’t run the heater at night when I’m sleeping l, usually just the evening before sleep and when I get up in the morning. I know this isn’t exactly what you’re asking for, but it’s my real world experience. I don’t think you’re too far off on the solar panel, as long as you’re getting proper exposure time compared to how much you’re running the heater.
Nice set up man ................
I really enjoyed watching your work- I am just starting out(retiring) and recently got my 1st gen Tundra, then found a cheap topper (Leer) I paint so sprayed it to match and moving toward my build. I promise you saved me from making some Big time mistakes and lessons I would of had to learn- Thank You!!! Have a great day and keep dropping this content on us!!!
Thanks
Great Job on this video. Your newest fan!
You’re a genius! Incredible set up
Very Nice...... You have helped me decide the fee of my F-150 ... Oh Yeah .
Did you drill holes in the bed for exhaust and intake on diesel heater?
Yes, one hole for the turret plate. The heater mounts to the plate. I kept the hole I cut out and was about to weld it back in place when I sold the truck. Could barely tell it ever existed. Thanks for watching.
Great builds. Super ideas there. Have you thought of ways to deal with the condensation from your breath inside the canopy while sleeping?
I usually keep a window open a little bit. Ventilation helps quite a bit. If it's really cold, the diesel heater keeps condensation low as well. Using the buddy propane heater prior, condensation was always a problem. Thanks for watching!
Question, I have a sienna mini van and i kept hearing the 5k would be too hot. so I got a 2kw like yours and now hear you have to run it on high to heat my van. How is the heat output on this and do you have to run it on high to keep warm?
I rarely run it on high. Like almost never. Typically I have it on the lowest setting. I heat my 22x26 garage with a 5kw model. In my opinion, a 2kw is more than plenty.
@ thank you very much for getting back
Jackrabbits sticker caught me off guard 😂 Hello and congratulations from Sioux Falls!
Haha yeah, I went to SDSU as did my wife. Sioux Falls is my hometown. Thank for watching, Go Jacks!
Could the exhaust be routed into the vehicles exhaust system?
I’m sure you could which would be super clean.
awesome setup. very efficient
Thanks, appreciate that!
Best build yet…I want this setup but pulling a Seadoo Fish Pro👌🏽
Thank you!
You need a N02 sensor for diesel not C0, nitrogen dioxide is the primary concern from diesel.
Nice build 👍 You should be proud, it’s way cool ! I subed. You miss the Chevy?
Thank you! I don't miss the Chevy specifically, but I do miss having a full size truck. I originally wanted a Tundra but at the time I bought this truck, there wasn't much for inventory. Maybe in another year or two I'll look at 1/2 tons again.
Is the 2kw worth it or should I go with the 5kw? I have a semi with 5 foot flat top sleeper. I’m thinking the 2kw would be better so I don’t wake up with dead batteries but for the couple extra dollars maybe the 5kw would be better but it consumes a little more power.
I also drive truck and just ordered the 2kw. I know of a couple guys that ordered the higher output versions that ended up pulling them out to put in the 2kw due to the units producing too much heat for them to control very well. FWIW the espars that are installed from the factory on trucks are 2.2 kw and they throw out plenty of heat.
2KW is most likely plenty. In my truck, I run it on the lowest setting almost always because they crank out the heat. For perspective - I heat my 24x26 insulated garage with a wall mounted 5KW heater. Thanks for watching.
does this vevor heater have a provision for high altitude use? thanks
This one does not. The "new" version says it does but I have yet to install one and test. Thanks for watching.
do you secure your 12v fridge to keep from bouncing around during offroading?
If it's really rough, I throw a bungee strap around it. Seems to work well enough. Thanks for watching.
Good review. Thanks.
Thanks for watching.
I bought the same topper new and it was $6,000 a year ago when this video was made. all options, carpeted, front fold down window, same both sides, electronic lock, lights, usb charging ports yakima rack, double thick top holds 500 pounds.
That’s a good setup, I’m glad you’re happy with yours!
Great job on that video.
Glad you liked it!
Mine smells like burning rubber. Did you have that smell and did it go away?
Make sure the rubber "seal" on the bottom is positioned to not touch the exhaust port. But yes, they do smell like rubber for the first few uses it seems. At least with mine, that went away.
A+ young man!
Thanks for watching.
Awesome! Especially like the electronics and power management.
Thanks for the kind words. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
600 a good deal
It really was.
