Don't know, probably my depression, but i just see what others are doing, i just automatically get sad because mine doesn't look like that. I just feel like my drawings look bad, or not good enough. I just don't know how to deal with all this :c And when i look at speed paints, i just get saddened because i just don't know how to do that. Again, i have depression, so I'm not really good at thinking. But really, i just want to cry when i see other people's drawings. I just can't start learning things. I feel like it's too late, i know it's not, but depression keeps telling me that. I just... i don't know. Hopefully it'll get better.

I think the final is actualy a colors issue, the white just blends the face in room much and the red seems isolated to the bottom. I would think more red, perhaps a ribbon should be made. The face should be a humanist color, it devoids the top of colors. I believe the spirals provide slot to the picture, however you think they look strange because they’re the only color on the top part. I’d also change the tights mostly out of an idea that tight thighs highs shows the opposite of angelic. A tunic or more coverings with spots of a black pants may be a replacement. Overall I do think it’s just the colors being too seperated. Still very good job! I hope I can make something like this one day

I like your animated avatar. I'd also like to add that it's more than milage. It's focused and deliberate practice over a long time combined with quality resources. The problem is, that to become good at anything you need to learn a set of implicit skills, that are hard to teach. E.g. the habit of investing time regularily is one critical component. Another one is to learn how to effectively learn from your mistakes. Also to develop grit and focus. The journey to become a master at anything will transform you and your life. And it will be worth it as there is little more fullfilling in life. It can be done in 5 years to a decade. It can also be truly enjoyable like almost nothing is in life. For those that are interested, Robert Greene's Mastery and Peak from Anders Ericsson are excellent (audio) books if this is your goal. There is nothing wrong with pursuing art without that systematic laser focused approach, but if you are frustrated at your progress, these may be for you.

sometimes with a lot of the advice centered around good character design, i wonder where really out there stuff like jojo’s bizarre adventure falls into place within these generally accepted rules. especially because many jojo designs seem to be very odd or borderline nonsensical, yet it’s still heralded as having great designs. this was a good watch and you have really great tips!

Okay nogo there... whats option 2.... game company? coincidentally, i have a game design degree.. money well spent, still cant land a job in that field. okay, option 3.. money?.. broke most the time... in fact i was hoping they'd pay me for a commission. cricket noises* 4. discord? actually, this one did get me SOMEEEEEEE critique(like MAYBE 1 comment saying what could be fixed... however most the time it was empty and barren. even if you were super active and cheery in the server for a while... let's face it, just unplug that cursed social media, draw for fun, replug and promote yourself in a better mind... its what im doing rn. alot less stress seeing fellow artists numbers rise whilst yours sink :/

do you feel inspired or bitter? both. often there are art pieces i find beyond adorable and im longing to try get that soft texture feel in the work. but then therell be times il see another artist... see the numbers and wonder... they just made an account like... a month ago?! where did all the ppl come from? rn im doing a lil hiatus of social media. not youtube though. I dont have cable or a tv lol. but i aint going on any art social media stuff. just gonna knuckle down with the tutorials and drawing what i want. not what i THINK people want.

In my opinion, I think you referencing the wings off of a bird made the character look more like a half bird rather than an actual angel.
