You are a true renaissance man, Frank. There is nothing wrong with keeping it real these days, they will look fine; you are building it for you and that is what matters. Thanks for another tip. Now that is a really good idea and I don't see anything wrong with it. If you're doing a resto mod build you might could win a car show with it because if it goes well with the rest of the interior you might just have a shot and u could do a 2 tone deal if you wanted to by sewing or gluing some color strips to it . I can get all of that sheathing for free cause there's always a ton of that stuff left over at the job that they're going to toss in the dumpster. I might have to make some custom panels for Beans 🤔 now that was a great idea you just passed along. I did a headliner that has the foam/partical board backing and bought the thickest fabric I could find at Walmart and glued it and it looks almost like the factory did it except for a tiny wrinkle I got in it behind the visor😂😅 but long as it's up u will never see it 😊

    • @frankrizzo3922

  • @daledavies2334

Checking piston to valve clearance is just part of building a custom engine. When the valves are hitting the piston, you need to cut the valve reliefs deeper and to a larger diameter. Cutters can be purchased that replace the valves to cut the reliefs yourself, One relief at a time. Yup, you have to remove the valves.

You hit all the points right on.... To me its pretty simple one is a street vavle body the other is track racing...and hot street back in the day... The Carl .H Munroe book is a must have I have it along with the ATSG mauals and factory service manusls...Munroe's book is the bible of the 727....God rest Mr. Munroe's soul.... If your going hard core you have to have all you mention plus billet drums and a bolt in sprague... And on a street daily driver its great idea to have a bolt in sprague atleast... Keep the great info coming Rizzo your doing great.

Lokar would be my choice.... I have one on my 383 in my 77 cordoba with the M1 intake using a mancini bracket works great...now I have many OEM brackets and kickdown arms so I have been known to mod my own as in my 76 charger 360 with an airgap intake and my 74 charger 360 with an edelbrock preformer intake... It's not hard to do and I can weld anything...but lokar and mancini are your best bet for a nice clean install and smooth opreation.
