    It is funny to me to hear the different things we find scary or daunting to try. I jumped into air brushing almost as soon as I got into the hobby. I knew it was hard, but I always thought of it as "just paint" nothing permanent. In my case, modifying kits with Pla plate and making custom things like that has always been too scary to try because "what if I wreck my model"? Thank you for providing some perspective, and for mushing me towards feeling ok with trying potentially destructive things in the name of having fun and learning in the hobby!

Plakativ könnte man jetzt sagen du schließt 0,2V kurz.

    4:40 Wenn du das tatsächlich öfters machst eignet sich ein Abisolierwerkzeug bspw von Knippex besser. Litze kann sonst beim Abisolieren brechen bzw angeschnitten werden und wenn du Bewegung drauf gibst langsam brechen. -> tut dann oft nicht mehr; umgangssprachlich Wackler Draht ist nur bei wenig Bewegung zu Empfehlen. Da hier viel biegen zum selben Problem führen kann. Verzeiht abisolieren mit Messer aber „eher“ da der Draht logischerweise Dicker ist. Das ist nicht als Kritik gemeint im Sinne von „das macht man nicht“, sondern eher ein gut gemeinter Rat. Fehlversuche ist bei Wacklern ultra ätzend (rede leidgeplagt von Erfahrung) und kann zumindest an der Stelle vermindert werden.

    As far as the red plastic absorbing through the grey primer. This happened to me also. I found that putting two to three coats of primer resolves this problem.

    Got one similar to this from Amazon. Did not work at all regardless of how much I thinned the paint-until I swapped the airbrush with Iwata Neo. Magical setup. Sprays beautifully at 50/50 ratio. Cleans up like a champ. Bye bye compressors.

    Love how it came out! If you don't mind, may I ask what paints you used? I'm trying to get the candy-coat effect like you did, but I don't know which paints to use. I can never find a metallic that is as glossy and smooth as that :(

      @GiantRobolove Місяць тому

      If you pause the video at the right moments, you can see which colors I used. I gotta say though, that the gloss effect that I got here is far from perfect and that I haven't found the perfect method yet. I basically just used Mr. Color metallic colors. Some day I will put more effort into finding a good method and then there will be a new video about it :)

    I love your transformation of this kit. Well done. Some time ago you mentioned possibly doing a video all about different paints and thinners and how to layer them. I'd really love a video like that from you, simply sharing your experience over the years of trial and error. I feel like in theory this is a simple topic but some how it gets so complicated, maybe it's because you could ruin a kit or perhaps it's simple a case of decision fatigue as you weight all the options and opinions. You have a good clear and engaging teaching style and I'd love to see you tackle this sometime.

    Trial and error that is all you can do. You think something might work and you find out it doesn't so you go back to the drawing board. I am glad you left this in to show that all of these people on here are not perfect when they build. They make mistakes.

      Thanks for noticing. With editing there is so much that one can do to hide imperfections. But I'm of the opinion that showing the process in itself is the most valuable way to learn.
