    Trial and error that is all you can do. You think something might work and you find out it doesn't so you go back to the drawing board. I am glad you left this in to show that all of these people on here are not perfect when they build. They make mistakes.

      Thanks for noticing. With editing there is so much that one can do to hide imperfections. But I'm of the opinion that showing the process in itself is the most valuable way to learn.

    Another great build, man. That looks absolutely fantastic! Well done. Nice of you to include the failures as well, because we all do them. Makes the video more real and relatable, hehe. I am surprised how well your marker and sponge method worked. Looks pretty amazing actually.

    Thank for the nicely edited video! I needed some inspiration for an explosion for my W40 Imperial Knight. Turned out very nice!
    Alternative for the glue-gun: I intertwined the individual rods at the peak of the bulb - worked fine too!

    This was a nicely don diorama, I do have a tip, You might want to invest in some 2 part epoxy putty. It's great for scratch building and for hold things in place like the rod that you hot glued.

      Hey thank for stopping by and checking out my channel :) well the package says they are useful for any kinds of dirt and such. The product was not located in the make up section. I think the squishy sponge thingie ones you are referring to are made of a different material. I can't recall the name of the product, but I've seen make up artists use them to apply concealer.

    So for the weathering effect we know theres gunk and all those dirt effects but i think there should ve some silver/chrome scratches if its metal at least at the edges or atleast in inner frames i m trying some experiments but if u find a better way to do it i would be glad if u can show everyone cuz even with matt and weathering it still doesnt give effect of a heavy metal machinery for me atleast

      Hey that's a good point. Honestly, I purposefully didn't try an metallic, because I went for the rust. But yeah technically there should be some metallic parts. I'll put some time into research and testing and then in the future I'll come back to this topic.

      Yeah, I think it won't happen for a while. But then again, Bandai's decision for new kits or iterations are always a bit weird. I totally did not expect an RG Epyon haha

    so your letting the real touch marker do the panel lining as well as its weathering effect? Shouldn't I panel line first? Or should it be after painting?

      I think you can do it both ways. However, if you want to do it after painting, seal your kit with a varnish first. Otherwise you would wipe away all the weathering colors with the panel line ink thinner.

      Yeah, pls do, it's not too difficult and the effect is really nice. I used regular Christmas LED lights. Maybe if you search for "decoration LED" you might also find good products.

      Hey, these are regular decoration LEDs that you would use for christmas decorations for example. I don't even know if they have a specific name. I got mine at a dollar store, I suppose that's what you call those kind of shops.

    How far away, in cm, you stay from the cotton for coloring? I use the same paint, but my cotton became sticky and no light comes through.

      Mine has become sticky at certain spots as well, it just doesn't show on camera. So I start with at at least 30cm, depending on the color. For black I would go even further away, because a bit of black can go a long way. You can always build up slowly. Thin coats and your patience are the key ;)

      When I started out, I watched a lot of Andrew Kramer (Videocopilot), mt. mograph, ecabrams and EJ Hassenfratz (eyedesyn). As of late I've been a fan of Ben Marriott. I'd suggest you pick any beginner tutorial on After Effects on UA-cam to get a basic understanding of the program. And once you got that down, look for tutorials for a certain effect that you want to achieve. This way you learn as you go and grow with each project.
