Dragon Age: Inquisition had a trans person in it as well. Krem. And unlike in the Veilguard, it wasn't thrown in your face, unless you specifically asked questions about it and cared enough to know more about the character. And he had actual personality that wasn't tied to gender. I find it kind of weird how they write a wose and less nuanced trans character 10 years after the first one was introduced to the setting. And how much more preachy and "in-your-face" it is. It does the whole agenda a disservice, because you focus on how different they are instead of that they are a person and them being trans is just a character trait, same as hair color. With Krem it was far more natural and accepted as normal, whereas here they beat on the band wagon and draw attention to it, making it a far bigger deal and focusing on how different they are. How's that inclusive? To me, it shows that the issue of the game isn't going woke, it's lecturing players and bad writing. Nobody got upset about Krem back in the day, or that BG3 had all romanceable characters be bi-sexual. Because in both cases it was done properly with actual writing that goes beyond what you'd see on a midterm paper in a high-school english exam.

The game may have done better if they left the name Dragon Age out of it. All they have done is anger a large portion of the fanbase. I have checked it out and it is a playable game but not Dragon Age except with some of the names. This should have been a new start for a new franchise.

Im a long time bioware/dragon age fan and it was ok they change the direction of the game to action oriented. But the devs shouldnt use this franchise to preach their idea.
Whats funny, is from my own experience, i have never seen an individual who subjects themselves to this kind of thinking, who could genuinely pull off 10 real pushups, and most of them are already sweating just walking around. So like half of the requirement is already met, and the other half is unobtainable. Makes me chuckle.
Go through a lot of the first day positive reviews and you'll notice the phrase " return to form " over and over and over and over................well you get the point.
You mentioned bought reviews on Steam. There must be TONS of AI review services now generating MOUNTAINS of the stuff by the second. I've been suspicious for a LONG time. You can start to figure out which ones are AI because they never have much personality, and often use the same clumsy wording and sentence structures without any of the normal misspellings/humor of real people.
I wish I had never preordered this game. I'm two hours into the game play, and other than Varric and the toon I created I haven't had a single person join the party that isn't a "boss chick". It's all so tiresome. While I'm on a rant, I should also mention that the very first thing the game wants you to do during character generation is identify your pronouns. Character generation then goes on to give you the option to make your character look like a glitter-covered drag queen or an incel with hideous acne. Additionally, I don't recall the character of dwarf Scout Harding ever being a fat chick.
Listen, I'm all for diversity and inclusion, but we can do it without being preachy. Just have it there, but dont focus on it. That's how you have the option to "not deal with it if you dont want to choose it". Not to mention, the people who made this game didn't include heavy body types or women with stacked assets or even people who have a physical disability so i guess they have limits to who gets included

@@huntern3071 tell me about it, my cousin is trans woman and one of my ex is trans man, i am actually pansexual, but since this woke insanity reached this level of insanity i just say or either i am lgb or i am a man in a relationship with a gay man. plus i raised 2 of my nephewes since they were kid, got custody over them when they were like at the begining of a puberty. younger one was always like different, anyone could see it, he is 22 now, when this woke started some time a go, first he was non binary, i literaly rollled my eyes same as a trans cousne and said, ok, we can ask your gp to give us a the paper so you can see a psychiatric ( wich is procedure in our country for such things, for gender dysphoria, struggling with identity etc), even my trans cousin and ex had to spend 8 years in therapis and sessions before they were approved hormonal therapy and got diagnosis and thaz it, everything else they are on their own, coz no surgical proceduress are done here and anyone who is under 18 cant even be approved for hormonal therapy.. that was 6 or 7 years ago, something like that, he went to coupel therapy sessions and gave up, he was 16 and by our law ( coz we are adults at 18) i had no right to know anything if he requested it. but i knew, it was obvious, and had always such relationship with both of them, that jus tknew they can tell me anything. at age 18 or 19 he is suddendly bisexual, i rolled my eyes once again coz i knew, but did not interfier, it is a thing wich any person must figure out for themselves and by themselves. last year he came out as a gay.. no one made celebration out of it, no made a huge thing about it... never thought i will say that i am glad i live in slavic country. ok i also live in iceland coz of dual citizenship, but this insanity in west is just too much... those kind of games, movies, tv shows etc, have no views and almost zero sales in east europe and more east you go. when i look the faces, body language of a majority of woke activitst, omg, i suffer from c ptsd since age 9 so i had my share in mental hospitals, all of them have same retorics, look in their eyes, explosions, facial expresions etc like many i met in hospital. mostly borderline personality disorder and psychosis... we here dont have so much issues with woke, simply coz of our health system and protocols....
Dragon Age: Inquisition had a trans person in it as well. Krem. And unlike in the Veilguard, it wasn't thrown in your face, unless you specifically asked questions about it and cared enough to know more about the character. And he had actual personality that wasn't tied to gender. I find it kind of weird how they write a wose and less nuanced trans character 10 years after the first one was introduced to the setting. And how much more preachy and "in-your-face" it is. It does the whole agenda a disservice, because you focus on how different they are instead of that they are a person and them being trans is just a character trait, same as hair color. With Krem it was far more natural and accepted as normal, whereas here they beat on the band wagon and draw attention to it, making it a far bigger deal and focusing on how different they are. How's that inclusive?
To me, it shows that the issue of the game isn't going woke, it's lecturing players and bad writing. Nobody got upset about Krem back in the day, or that BG3 had all romanceable characters be bi-sexual. Because in both cases it was done properly with actual writing that goes beyond what you'd see on a midterm paper in a high-school english exam.

Oh I already am. Yesterday I played a game called Stacklands. It's around $7 on steam and was a good bit of fun. I'm looking forward to playing some more today. I can't believe I'm more excited about playing a $7 indie game about stacking cards than the next ducking Dragon Age but here we are.

The game may have done better if they left the name Dragon Age out of it. All they have done is anger a large portion of the fanbase. I have checked it out and it is a playable game but not Dragon Age except with some of the names. This should have been a new start for a new franchise.

Im a long time bioware/dragon age fan and it was ok they change the direction of the game to action oriented. But the devs shouldnt use this franchise to preach their idea.
Whats funny, is from my own experience, i have never seen an individual who subjects themselves to this kind of thinking, who could genuinely pull off 10 real pushups, and most of them are already sweating just walking around. So like half of the requirement is already met, and the other half is unobtainable. Makes me chuckle.
Yet this game somehow has a 77% positive steam reviews. Has to be bought reviews...
Steam has deleted well over a thousand of the negative reviews. Popped it up from around 54% to almost 80%.
Go through a lot of the first day positive reviews and you'll notice the phrase " return to form " over and over and over and over................well you get the point.
You mentioned bought reviews on Steam. There must be TONS of AI review services now generating MOUNTAINS of the stuff by the second. I've been suspicious for a LONG time. You can start to figure out which ones are AI because they never have much personality, and often use the same clumsy wording and sentence structures without any of the normal misspellings/humor of real people.

I wish I had never preordered this game. I'm two hours into the game play, and other than Varric and the toon I created I haven't had a single person join the party that isn't a "boss chick". It's all so tiresome. While I'm on a rant, I should also mention that the very first thing the game wants you to do during character generation is identify your pronouns. Character generation then goes on to give you the option to make your character look like a glitter-covered drag queen or an incel with hideous acne. Additionally, I don't recall the character of dwarf Scout Harding ever being a fat chick.
Listen, I'm all for diversity and inclusion, but we can do it without being preachy. Just have it there, but dont focus on it. That's how you have the option to "not deal with it if you dont want to choose it".
Not to mention, the people who made this game didn't include heavy body types or women with stacked assets or even people who have a physical disability so i guess they have limits to who gets included

This is my first youtube comment ever mostly i think nothing much about like or dont like a game but dragon age veilguard was a game i was hyped about for years since i finished inquisitions i wanted to know hiw the story would continue. But Bioware really did it that i dont even want to play the game anymore its not about hating or liking trans or gay people its about gaming and escaping this world where enough people want to lecture you because you mistankenly said something wrong. We just want to play a game for fun and not beeing lectured or told how to think.
