Try the magnum non magnum primer test when it -40° or colder with ball powders. You see why those of us that live in colder climates use magnum primers.

I started carrying a pair of 327s. Been pretty impressed with what I've been getting from the 3" with a 100gn over a max charge of Enforcer. Even with the 104gn HST I've been more than satisfied.

Very cool! I think you're the only channel who's reloading 30 Super Carry for maximum velocity. Please keep them coming. I'd love to see if you take a cranked up Xtreme defender and see if you can get it to penetrate soft armor.

Fantastic testing! Seeing those 32 ACP bullets driven to such high velocity was impressive. All the bullets performed great depending on what you want to do with them. This shined a good light on the 30 Super Carry potential.

A historical cartridge that might generate similar values is the .32-20. Same diameter projectiles, equivalent with smokeless powders to a .327 Fed in a carbine. .30SC is the same diameter projectiles, in spite the awkward name, just runs higher pressures than pretty much everything else, except the big revolver magnums.

in 327 fed My 5.5" single seven produced 1600 fps with the HST 104 gr and expends, pealing the Petals back and wrapping them around the base until they touch while retaining the majority of it's mass, The HST runs mid 1900s from my 20" Henry and still holds together. The Federal 100 gr soft point hits 2100 and expands to be almost indistinguishable from a 100 gr gold dot.

That extreme defender round would be a good one to use for self defense. At 1525 ft/sec from a Shield Plus, that’s 387 ft/lbs of energy, which is as good as any 9mm HST round, including the +p. Seventeen rounds of that defender in each magazine I’m carrying is excellent.

I'm a 32 junkie and I've hoped for a rimless 327 fed for years, unfortunately they went 9mm length. My hope was for the 30 SC pressure and base with full 327 37mm length to replace the 30 carbine with a little more power and a better selection of bullets than 30 Carbine.

I would like to have that in something like a 10-22 or ar 30 sc with m&p magazines. Do they still make the camp carbine? Is it accurate to a hundred yards? That round might be viable and stick around if they can produce it cheaper than the 9mm

I've found that different rifles shoot different weights,... well, differently. Lol. My 24" barrel model 64 shoots 150gr well and my 94 with a 20" barrel hates them but loves 170gr bullets.

Your crooked thumb may be a condition known as TRIGGER FINGER. Both of my thumbs went this way over a four year period. Just woke up one morning and thumb was crooked , no pain. Had a regular yearly check up and mentioned it to the doctor and he said I’ll send you to a plastic surgeon. He operated under local anaesthetic and no issues since. It has absolutely nothing to do with firearms. Hope this comment helps you I asked the specialist what causes this condition and he couldn’t answer. I’ve been hard on my hands. Chain saw ,splitting wood, handguns. 75 years age. Great video.

My Howa Mini in 7.62x39 shoots surplus Soviet ammo and the Russian hollow points both at 1 MOA. I think this is because the stock is not flimsy and is piller bedded. The one piece scope rings proved to be concentric too. I also replaced the soft plastic bottom “metal” with a Diversified Innovative Products aluminum CNC’d bottom piece. My only negative comment is the finish is lacking - Savage economy grade.

The new Python is not the same quality when compared to the original Python. The Royal Blued finish was polished carefully by hand, the gunsmith of that time were skilled. Hopefully Colt will make a bright nickel version.
