It is unbelievable how much control a drug has over a person. He eats out of trash cans and uses dirty needles. This is sad 😔.

I hope he finds his way out of Kensington. Hopefully, he finds his way out by stopping his drug use and not in a casket.

Tell him from Western Australia I said hi, get better. I only said that about finding a warehouse job cos that’s what I do and I’m having an okay year with bad habits. More to it than just that.

That is definitely a blessing that he stopped using drugs. I agree his family has to be extremely proud of him. Hopefully, his story will help other addicts to stop using drugs.

I think many people that live in Kensington get immune to all the negativity that comes with the neighborhood. It looks like a bullet doesn't have a name. The mayor is definitely trying to clean up Kensington.

He said he traps, works on the “set”, so it’s common down there for the dope dealers to use the junkies to sell the dope on the block(set) because the dealers don’t really care if junkies get locked up, they’re expendable. The addicts will get some free bags for selling the dope. Say for every bundle they sell they get one bag out of the bundle or something.

@jamesbuttery3862 That is crazy that the dope dealers have drug addicts selling drugs for them. At the same time, dealers run the risk of drug addicts using the drugs and not selling it. The dealers also run the risk of the drug addicts being caught and ratting out the dealers for a lighter sentence.

@@ready_to_destination True but I've seen other interview channels like yours where they've interviewed a few people that have run off with the drugs and now they have the dealers out in the neighborhood the addict is basically stuck in looking to seriously harm them. There is a lot of money being made and they're serious about their money. The addict has somewhat of an incentive to not steal so they can keep their habit going but like you said they are not the most trustworthy... In regards to being afraid of the addicts snitching on them...I'm sure it's a very loose relationship, the addict probably only knows the dealer by a street name and doesn't know where they live. But yes I'm sure that's always a concern for dealers of being told on.

You are making good points. It does seem some addicts tend to blame everyone and everything but themselves. Most people would never want to live on the streets of Kensington. The drugs controll them 100 percent.

Couldn’t be more miss informed. There are plenty of addicts who will do anything to give up there addictions. Spent time in rehab with many of them. I myself left my state just to get into a rehab a soon as I can and I wasn’t the only one who had travelled from afar to be there. A bunch gave up there kids to relatives for for months to be there. Trust me there are plenty of addicts who give up everything to be in rehab and do whatever it takes. Some people it takes longer then others to get to this point and unfortunately some don’t ever get to this point. Or course interviewing current addicts on the street you’ll hear excuses. Go interview people in rehab and see what they gave up to be there and what changes there making on the outside to stay clean. Then you’ll get an idea

That is tough losing his grandmother and closest friend. Hopefully, he can talk to someone about the 2 losses. Drug use is not the way to go when losing people you care about. God bless him and lead him in the right direction 🙏.

It is unfortunate that he had his teeth bashed in. Kensington is a rough neighborhood. Most of his weight loss was probably due from using drugs. Hopefully he can stay safe in that drug-infested area.
