Great job, focus on your interview style and loose the question running sheet. Start the interview with the basics, name, where they’re from, work, family etc. Lesson to their response, and formulate another open question! Have empathy and understanding and of course respect! Looking forward to your next interview!
@@ready_to_destination You’re welcome. I was a little concerned you may have taken my comment as an attack. I have a lot of respect for creators like yourself! What you’re doing is capturing a pictorial record of a social issue that is tearing at the fabric of society. It’s not just happening in Philadelphia, but in every state and city in the US. Everyone is calling for government intervention but there is nothing any government can do, Red or Blue. There’s no silver bullet for a social issue, that’s why they’ve plagued society for millennia!
@ronferguson9695 I am glad you enjoy the content. All I try to do is raise awareness of what is going on in Kensington. Hopefully, change will come for the people affected by addiction.
Thank you for posting this interview. I'm from Philly and a lot of times I'm cracking jokes about the people down there. I lost sight that they are human beings in a terrible situation. Hearing these stories shocks and saddens me. Praying that there is hope and light at the end of the tunnel.
I am glad that your mindset changed towards people with drug addiction. All of them have a story to tell and it's for us to listen and to help them in any possible way.
I understand what you’re saying. Unfortunately these people full into the category of “out of sight, out of mind. That’s why these videos are so important! They are a slap in the face reality check for many people!!!
It is not done to embarrass him. It is done to know his life story. To educate people on the situation going on in Kensington, PA from the eyes of an addict.
Don’t shoot the messenger….. All of the creators doing these videos are broadcasting a serious message around the world! They shin a light on a social issue that’s tearing at the fabric of society which has never existed like this before! If one of these videos makes a kid think twice about experimenting with drugs then it’s done its job!
@ronferguson9695 These addiction videos are good to see because it shows the darker side of addiction. Hopefully people think twice before attempting to use any drug. Just say no to drugs.
This is heartbreaking to see how some people in Kensington are living. However, this video is necessary because it shows addiction up close and personal. When addiction has taken over your life, most will do anything to get "one more". Towards the end of the video when he disclosed that he scraps and prostitutes to support his habit, it was shocking, but unfortunately that is the life of a lot of addicts. I hope this video reaches millions, and everyone can learn about the tragic circumstances in Kensington. God bless all of the suffering addicts.
It is tough when an addiction takes complete control of a person. I went to Kensington to bring awareness to what is happening in that neighborhood. It is sad to see. I was shocked when the addict disclosed he made money from being a prostitute. Hopefully he is able to turn his life around.
It’s very easy to pass judgment and point out the flaws in someone’s character, like so many people do on these platforms! But the truth is none of us know these people’s story, what happened in their lives that led them here. Hopefully they find their way back before it’s too late!
@@ready_to_destination Yeah, I think there’s hope for everyone! Unfortunately they have to hit rock bottom first. A lot of people say you can’t help those who won’t help themselves, and to some degree that may be true! My concern is for the ones who can’t help themselves or don’t know how!!

I didn't actually hear him say that HEEEE prostitutes. I hope he doesn't though. I think this channel has great potential because you move around, not just exploiting the folk in Kensington.
He told us prostitution is the way he makes his money. It is sad that he has to do that to support his habit. Hopefully he can stop what he is doing and get clean. I appreciate you enjoying the channel. I just want people to hear the addicts stories, and hopefully it can make others think twice about using drugs. Sometimes the addicts just want to be heard and I give them the opportunity to do that on the channel. By me posting the video, just maybe it reaches someone who can do something to help the addicts in anyway possible the next time they see one on the streets of Kensington 🙏.
They are definitely linked together. Hopefully the people in Kensington that are stuck in that lifestyle can find a way to overcome their addiction and the mental state that their in.
There is a direct correlation between mental health issues and substance abuse. The overwhelming clinical evidence can’t be ignored! Addiction is an insidious disease that affects the mind, body and soul! It distorts reality to a point where the necessities of life loose their value! These people need help and understanding, many of them lack basic life skills and suffer chronic mental health conditions that need treatment. Instead of focusing on the addiction, focus on the cause!
Once upon a time, I’d be bored, decide to hop on the road, to Philly. I had that feeling yesterday.. but then I thought of the years since I have not been there, and I know about this. Let’s just say I have not been to Philly in over 10 yrs and it of a little more than an hour away.

@@deathisthecure9499 Thank you and I know what I said is harsh but it's the crimes that come with some addicts that I find disgusting, the theft, violence, abuse, squatting, child neglect, prostitution and the general breaking down of a safe and happy society. I hope and pray they get help.
What’s disgusting??? The fact that he’s a drug addict or he has to sell himself to buy food and support a drug addiction he never thought he would have? Addiction will make you do things you’d never thought you’d do! Just food for thought 💭
This channel would be a lot better if the interviewer was asking organic questions and not from off a list.

Wow he’s 48 I’m 50 and he looks like he can be my father. Drugs really beat you down. God bless him hope he gets the help he needs.
Yes, drugs beat people down. I hope he does get the help he needs.
He is 2 years older then me he looks a lot older like 70 so sad
It is definitely sad to see that addiction and the street life has taken a toll on him 😔.
His appearance is one thing but his cognitive impairment is much more telling. Dependence has long term consequences even after recovery!
@ronferguson9695 Hopefully he is able to get clean.

I couldn't understand him when he said his name. Did he say "Tommy Chong"?
He didn't say Tommy Chong but he is a human being dealing with addiction 😔.
The use of drugs is not the issue. It's mental health. Enabling is not helpful.
Mental heath contributes to drug use as well 😔.

Disgusting. I'm sorry but I'm losing my sympathy for these people.
It is the addiction that gets them to that point. Once they are able to beat the addiction then they can move forward.
