- I decided to take a walking tour through Kensington in Philadelphia, Pennyslvania. I interviewed a heroin/cocaine addict named Brandon in McPherson Square known as "needle park". Brandon discussed how he endures life in Kensington, and why he feels his only way out is in a casket. Be sure to Like, Comment, Share, and Subscribe.
Wow! It saddens me that Brandon feels his only way out of Kensington is in a casket. I pray that he will get the help that he needs and his mindset will change. Thank you for taking the time to do these videos, and giving a voice to the community that many don't care about. I am glad that I SUBSCRIBED to this channel. Thanks for watching and enjoying the video. I do hope he gets the help he needs. I do these interviews to give the addicts a voice. Hopefully by telling their story it can help someone else from taking that path. The addicts are being hassled to death by the police while the dealers are stood around surveying whats going on. The clean up dont make sense, movimg people arent wont change nothing. god bless all in Kensington, ❤ 🙏
It is easy to identify who is who down in Kensington. The focus tends to be mostly on the addicts. Why doesn't the mayor have the police go after the people who are causing the problem in Kensington. If the police walks by those supplying the addicts with their habit, then the clean up will just be a waste of time.
In the old fays addicts bought their needles at pharmacies . Diabetic needles. They bought their own food also and mostly worked etc. just saying.
Times have definitely changed since the old days 😳.

What has changed is a poisoned drug supply if they brought back real heroin half of these issues would disappear with Safe Supply Programs and MAT
@nicholasdauphinais what I think really would change is if the police wouldn't look the other way when it came to the drug dealers. It seems like the addicts get harassed by the cops and the drug dealers get a pass. Everyone knows who are the drug dealers and who are the addicts. It is sad 😔.
It is really too bad. He seems like a smart guy. He is well spoken. I hope he finds his way out.
I hope he finds his way out of Kensington. Hopefully, he finds his way out by stopping his drug use and not in a casket.

Absolutely, he definitely is going to have to want it to give up his addiction. Life is hard, especially for an addict when he thinks their is no hope. He just has to believe in himself that he can conquer his addiction. I try to let the addicts speak so people can realize they are human. They deserve to be heard and helped. I am glad you enjoyed the video 🙂.

@@ready_to_destinationthere are resources everywhere. Most are very comfortable in that life. Just give them needles, don't bother them when they're sleeping oh and give them free housing. Unbelievable! Is this real life?!

@@ready_to_destination It's obvious he has no plans to improve his lifestyle. He was very truthful and seemed to accept the fact that he would die on the streets of Kensington. He doesn't want to change. He is about as happy as a dead man walking can be. His choice....
