Jason's passion too see change that prevents this happening to someone else is so clear and strong. The message of carrying out a short risk assessment before starting a job together with a powerful phrase " Look Up" is Perfect. I will you well Jason and look forward to seeing your journey and supporting where I can
26 years I’ve been a scaffolder and 12 months exterior cleaner mainly roofs, my first instinct is to look up and around and make sure there’s no power lines close by, it was something we were made aware of from the very first 21ft tube we topped up and started scaffolding, also no working in lightning strikes This guy has been so so unlucky it’s unbelievable and his story has to be told and made aware of so people actually start being conscious of their surroundings and spacial awareness to the proximity of power lines Very brave guy to go through this and live to tell his story, I hope more people watch this and take heed of his warnings
Wow, a lot to take on from that interview for everyone, thanks Dave for taking the time to do this and to Jason wish a speedy recovery mate and thanks for sharing your story so others can be aware of their surroundings. All the best in your recovery and your trip to America
What a man. You can tell just by his tone of voice and the look in his eyes that despite all his injuries he’s so grateful just to still be here and be alive. Well done for helping get his message out there Dave 👏
Ever since this incident, it's made me more aware of Power Lines. I didn't even know electricity could arc/jump! I think one thing that I'd like to know is how close did the pole get to the power line for it to arc in this case? All the best Jason.
Well done Jason! That can’t have been easy to do. Your bravery is inspirational. Your wife and kids are lucky to have you. Thanks to Squeaky Clean Dave for conducting this interview. Appreciate the pre-video warning of graphic content. It meant I was mentally braced for the Arsenal baseball cap Jason was wearing.
I always think this mate. The sacrifice for lightweight and rigid poles has meant carbon poles came racing to the fore. A brilliant invention but some awful accidents have occured.
Sorry to here so saddening, hopefully something good can come from this with the poles. Why not doing a follow up video and show some double insulated poles perhaps.
Thanks to Jason for sharing this your a ture Hero In my eyes. You are butting us window cleaners in a more safe position and this means alot to us all. Hope going forward you can get your self back in the industry. Just donated, Best wishes chris Wednesfield Window cleaning.
Well done Jason. These interviews stayed in my mind. I was doing a job last week emptying gutters with the use of gutter vac with poles and at the rear of the house there was a pole with alot of wires attached to it. I instantly thought of your incident and said I ain't going nowhere near them. I hope you strive in your recovery. All the best to you and yours.
WOW! What a heartbreaking video. The fact i know, and have worked with Jason for many years, made it even harder for me personally . His pole never even touched the lines and Jason life changed in an instant. As for Jason's approach to doing the job safely. I can vouch for this. Having worked along side him many times, i know how safety conscious he is. How i approach my day to day workload to this day, is the way Jason taught me. I cant begin to tell you all what an absolute hero he is in my eyes. Jason will work hard to make a difference to all our lives. Very few people have ever survived to get the point across about how dangerous this line of work can actually be. We will all be seeing, and hearing a lot more from this amazing man, as he strives to make sure this never happens to another one of us. Love you Jase, im right behind you. A massive thank you to Dave as well, for taking the time to help get Jason's story out to the world. Pleased help by donating a fee from one of your cleans tomorrow to Jason's cause. He has such a long road ahead of him. every little bit helps.
I must admit since seeing the first videos it’s made me more aware of the cables overhead and my surroundings, I think we have all gone into a job and not looked at the bigger picture . Good luck Jason I hope it’s all positive from now on.
I’ve always tried to be aware of overhead lines and especially non shrouded cables. This vid has made me think even harder about this. Thanks for the effort it must have taken to make it. We will all take something away from this hopefully. My thoughts are with him and hope for the best recovery he can achieve. Best regards.
My dad was a tree surgeon for yrs and after seeing dave interview Jason's dad and tell the story so i asked my dad to help educate me from the drifrence from power lines and telephone lines now im so curious about all the wires up above and always have a look and make a conscious effort to not touch or go near any now frightening stuff feel for Jason poor bloke and his family

One of the hardest hitting educational videos ever published highlighting the dangers of electric shock.
Thank you for sharing Jason it is important to raise awareness around these issues

Best of luck Jason. Please donate people . Thanks for the video mate.
Bottom 2 sections of all poles should be insulated as standard. Thanks for a great interview, really powerful 🙏

Absolutely agree! Jason is working hard to campaign for this standard - watch this space!
