I've literally sat at my computer for 12 hours straight to get the update out @hannahm1256 😅 I knew people were really worried about him and wanted to show how loved he is and how well Dawn is looking after him ❤🐴💕 If I had someone else to do all the crazy amount of editing then id have a video out everyday! 🤣🐴❤ Yes she is going to ride him when he is fully healed. He's not actually lame but he has to be on box rest until the Spring and that it will give Dawn more time to lose the extra pounds she needs to on her weight loss program. She's lost almost 2 stone already! I'm going to keep everyone updated as much as I can and she also has a TikTok page called State of Bliss ❤ Thank you as always for watching our videos and for such a lovely comment ❤

It's costing a lot more than originally thought which is why she's still dead on the drive 😥 We've got the alternator off and realised the drive belt has to be changed too. I think there may be a silver lining there as if that had gone she would have blown up 🤯 Bliss is 5, almost 6 so he's a good age and should make a perfect recovery ❤🐴💕

He's just beautiful isn't he @karenmackinnon7385 I wish you could meet him. Donna is just amazing isn't she, I absolutely love her and she is always so grounded and down to Earth. I never thought shed find all that wrong in his chest! Amazing! He can now really turn his head which he couldn't do properly before. ❤🐴💕

Thank you so much for watching @j.cassavoy4661 and yes its hypocrisy at its best isn't it! I'm sorry I am not a vegan and I did try to go vegetarian a few times in my life but I couldn't do it. Crazy thing is I've saved 100's of ex battery hens from going to slaughter and day old chic's from being frozen but I still eat chicken. I saved and rehomed two giant pigs from being put to sleep because their owner had died but I still eat bacon. I transported mini cows that had been kept as pets for years and were being taken to slaughter to a sanctuary but I eat beef and best of all, I lay in a muddy ditch with a horse that was dying for 4 hours while the emergency services tried to rescue her so that she didn't die alone but once when I was on holiday in Austria I ate horse meat because I didn't know what it was. I am definitely not perfect and absolutely not a role model for perfection in any way, but I do try really hard when I can.

Hello @ngc4486diane and thank you so much for watching and being concerned about him. He is such a wonderful old soul bless him. Its almost impossible to get everything into a 12 minute video but I can assure you he had a thick rug on up to his ears before we left and was all bandaged up properly. We were advised to gauze and vet wrap the bad leg and then Dawn wraps both front legs with bandages for support. He was a bit antsy the following morning but we arrived just as it got dark and he had no idea where he was bless him. I've been editing the follow up video over the last couple of days so I should have that ready for tonight 🤞 I think you'll like that because Dawn had Donna Cooksey the equine massage therapist out to treat him and she helped him a LOT! Dawn has lots of experience with TB's because she used to ride at a racing yard many many moons ago, and she has loaned many horses from Sports Horses to Maxi Cobs so she knows what she's doing and I will always be there to help her no matter what 😊 She's been through a really hard few years and is currently on a fab weight loss program to get her weight down and be at her best to look after the big guy. Ill try and put regular updates about him and it would be lovely to have you follow along with us ❤🐴💖

Thank you so much for a wonderful comment @SofiaPrince-r9x we took the alternator off today and it was completely shot so it is an absolute miracle we made it as far as we did! 🤯😅 We've had to take the drive belt off to get it off as well so we are replacing that at the same time just in case. Wouldn't it be amazing to be able to rehab and rehome lots of racehorses, oh my word that would be something.

Oh heavens I cant believe how close of a disaster that was @clare999 It literally went 20 minutes after leaving the yard 🤯😅❤ Simon thinks he can fix it, he's had it plugged in today looking for any other errors but its definitely the alternator. 3 bolts, 1 wire and about £150 🙄

Thank you so much for watching and thank you for your concern @julieking8017 . Dawn has had loan horses all of her life from Sports Horses to Maxi Cobs and she is a really confident rider. She's had a bad few years which I cant go into here but she has been on a weight loss program with me and has lost over 2 and a half stone in just a few months which is amazing. She's completely aware of the 20% rule and none of us would ever condone anything other than that. He's almost 700kg so both her and her tack need to be below 140kg's before she will ever sit on him. He will be on box rest now until the Spring and then it will be a very slow process of walking out and building up the strength in that leg again as well as transitioning him from the track to a light hack. Oh bless you @susanvuturo4361 and thank you so much for watching ❤🐴💕 She's 20 years old now so has started costed a fair bit to keep on the road over the past couple of years. The only good thing is the engine is so basic it is usually something easy to fix once you can afford the part! I don't know what it is but this time of year I always end up rescuing at least 1 animal and its usually an equine of some sort. This exact week last year we rescued 3 foals from going to slaughter and that's how this channel was started! (We rescued baby Dream and named the channel after him) I wounder who will need rescuing next? Hopefully not me again! 😅🤣❤

I absolutely will keep you updated @hannahm1256 I think it will be wonderful to see him grow up and heal from his injury. I know Dawn has booked Donna Cooksey the Equine Massage Therapist to come and give him a once over so I will see if I can film things like that too x

Oh @hw-art it was so scary and people were absolutely screaming at me because I had "f***** parked in a ridiculous place" and "didn't have my f******* lights on" like I had done it for fun??? Holy Moly people are crazy! There were two men that pulled up because they thought it needed jumpstarting and they stayed with us for a little while. ❤ Mind blowing! 🤯😅🐴💕❤

Is that a silver lining to having a 20 year old horsebox? I'm going to say that it is! 😍 The snow has all gone here too thankfully but we've had a few mornings when the whole yard was frozen, even the mud! I think I prefer that a bit plus the grass looks so beautiful doesn't it.

Oh @triciadailly8974 I love this message ❤❤❤ Of course you are not too old!!! You don't have to spend time with horses just to ride, in fact that's probably 5% of what being with horses means. You need to spend time with them for them and for you! Spend time grooming them, feeling there incredibly fur fur between your fingers and deeply breathe in that wonderful horse smell. It soothes your soul and yes it really is the most incredible therapy. See if your local riding school has spaces for volunteers and spend some time there. When you build your confidence on the ground the rest will follow. Now PLEASE let me know how you get on, make that phone call or send that message. This is the sign you've been waiting for to make that step! ❤🐴💕

We have been in touch with a few companies that deal with the mud and I think we will have an answer by next week hopefully @GAParkinson-qy8ol We are trying to get it sorted long term but also in a way that doesn't need planning permission which you need for hardcore areas.
