    What a fascinating video, I love watching horses have this kind of treatment it’s so beneficial for them. Good luck to Dawn and Bliss for the future. I really enjoy the variety you have in your videos 😊

      Thank you so much @ChristineKirk-ci7by I love taking them for their treatments and the benefit they feel afterwards is just incredible! Bliss couldn't turn his head properly before the treatment and now he can which in itself is a miracle. Donna is just amazing! ❤🐴💕

    This was so interesting. I'm so happy for Dawn and Bliss going forward. I didn't know that there are massage therapists for horses. Thank you so much for sharing.

      I didn't know that they were on this scale and so effective either @jilldinneen4271I literally only found Donna this year because I have a 44 year old blind pony and she came out to see him. He is like a spring chicken again after Donna has been! ❤🐴💕 Thank you so much for watching and for such a lovely message 💖

    Really interesting treatment. Just watching Bliss' reaction. Poor horse... they are run too hard, racing horses, aren't they? So glad he found his forever home.

    • @EssentiallyLivingtheDream
      @EssentiallyLivingtheDream  12 годин тому +1

      I'll be honest @hw-art I know Dawn was really emotional over the whole process but I really felt his pain too. It was really intense. Obviously I have to edit the videos down so they don't got on for 30/40 minutes but there were a few clips where you could really see how badly he was locked up in his chest. He was genuinely in so much pain and discomfort. God only knows what had caused that. He started out jumping hurdles and then switched to racing flat so maybe he crashed through a jump? Who knows? But he has landed on his hooved now and will have all the love and support he needs ❤🐴💕

    Bliss is lovely boy, and Dawn is really going to be a literal life saver, can you imagine the life Bliss had on a race yard,it doesn't suit many horses unfortunately.Bliss can go barefoot if Dawn wants to go down this route, now would be the ideal time to start, if Dawn needed information and help with qualified podiatrists to fullfill the best way to go ahead and overcome any flat footed horse problems as the horse will make his own extra sole thickness, his frog will get bigger and pump nutrients around the hooves within the walls and soles of the foot without metal shoes that restrict the expansion of foot making the hoof wall and sole thin and grow slowly.I can do my own horses trims but i prefer the equine podiatrist who comes when they need to be trimmed to show me how to do my horses feet,they all 10 of them have never had shoes from foals to today.I have a friend who does long distance riding and all of her horses are barefoot, the horse will adjust to the workload it does,even driving horses are seeing the benefits.The association of equine podiatrists are helpful and can put you in touch with a local qualified technician,its all about the transition period and getting the right things right for the rest of his life, i have seen lots of T.Bs that are barefoot so having flat feet isn't a reason unless there are other underlying issues.Do a bit of research and see how it can work, this would also include diet with Alfalfa chopped, not the oversweet commercial bagged stuff that is not so good for horses, but just plain alfalfa perhaps with oil,look on the internet,i get cubes and loose alfalfa,its a good feed for most horses because of its vitamins,minerals and protein, and its non heating for box rest high fiber feed for a detox mash with linseed.There will be a stage when Bliss can go to the therapy spa too,the cold salt water is so good for tendon injuries and stress.Good luck and have fun with Bliss you are very lucky.

      Thank you so much for such an informative comment @firstnamelastname-uq9hr yes Dawn is going to try and transition him to being barefoot so ill keep everyone updated on that. Have you seen the video I made of the Underwater treadmill? ua-cam.com/video/cTCySM7SFYw/v-deo.html I think he would very much benefit from that once he has healed in the Spring. Dawn is also on TikTok and does a live most mornings with Bliss. Her channel is called State of Bliss.

    Complementary medicine has come on so much.
    I so wish I’d had the laser treatement for dds fce.
    Because I had reflex and massage I just did 2 hrs a day.
    Between acupuncture and reflexology and swimming he regained most of his movement.
    Dogs are easier as they are smaller.
    Your massage lady is a star and worked her little socks off
    But how flippen fantastic.
    Bliss is so beautiful with a lovely nature.
    Such a small bit of therapy has made a huge difference.
    Hope the horse box is not too sick especially before Xmas.

      It really has @debblackwell2750 it is incredible what people can do now to help our animals. Donna really is amazing and she came out in such short notice even though she was so busy because she knew it was a bit of an emergency. It was obvious that he had restrictions in his neck. I think Dawn has really landed on her feet with the big lad. His personality is really beginning to shine through and he is just so wonderful to be around. He makes me feel really calm inside.
      Old Bertha is very sick 🤯 its costing more than I thought it would and after taking the alternator off we realised the drive belt needed replacing asap also. Its never ending!!! I have videos to make that I cant even get to without the big old girl! Never mind though, I am a firm believer that everything happens exactly when and how it is meant to and I'm clearly not meant to be using her or making the videos I had planned to. I wonder why? ❤🐴💕

    • @EssentiallyLivingtheDream
      @EssentiallyLivingtheDream  14 годин тому +1

      I've literally sat at my computer for 12 hours straight to get the update out @hannahm1256 😅 I knew people were really worried about him and wanted to show how loved he is and how well Dawn is looking after him ❤🐴💕 If I had someone else to do all the crazy amount of editing then id have a video out everyday! 🤣🐴❤ Yes she is going to ride him when he is fully healed. He's not actually lame but he has to be on box rest until the Spring and that it will give Dawn more time to lose the extra pounds she needs to on her weight loss program. She's lost almost 2 stone already! I'm going to keep everyone updated as much as I can and she also has a TikTok page called State of Bliss ❤
      Thank you as always for watching our videos and for such a lovely comment ❤

    My grandfather was a farrier, but i don't know anything about horses. Still I got a lot of tools from him. So i have a question about racehorses. You said that the horse don't know a lick box. Are those horses so terrible treaded? Sorry for my bad english i am dutch. It makes me cry how a horse of 5 years is that tense 😢😢. Thank you Dawn, for resque Bliss 🙏🙏🙏

    • @EssentiallyLivingtheDream
      @EssentiallyLivingtheDream  2 години тому

      Unfortunately the racing world is such an intense industry and although the horses are very well looked after, they are only there to do a job and are therefore a commodity. They don't get the little treats and love that a horse gets in a pet/loving home. Thank you so much for watching and thank you for your comment ❤🐴💕

  • @andreacope9974
    @andreacope9974 15 годин тому +1

    Hope your horse box doesn't cost too much for repairs.
    Can't remember if you've said how old Bliss is, but I hope it is a good age for his healing prospects.

    • @EssentiallyLivingtheDream
      @EssentiallyLivingtheDream  15 годин тому

      It's costing a lot more than originally thought which is why she's still dead on the drive 😥 We've got the alternator off and realised the drive belt has to be changed too. I think there may be a silver lining there as if that had gone she would have blown up 🤯 Bliss is 5, almost 6 so he's a good age and should make a perfect recovery ❤🐴💕

      Bliss is a.lovely boy. The lady doing the massage is amazing!
      If Bliss is box rest until the spring, his hooves should grow and get more solid to cope with barefoot. I know it can take up to a year, so worth persevering with.
      Well done Dawn for rescuing such a gorgeous horse. ❤

    • @EssentiallyLivingtheDream
      @EssentiallyLivingtheDream  2 години тому

      Thank you so much @jaysmith8199 and yes she is going to try and transition him to bare foot if possible. It should be a lot easier with him being on box rest and I am so glad you think Donna is amazing too! ❤🐴💕
