Tropical Update September 8th Invest 91L Organizing in the Gulf of Mexico
We continue to track the progress of Invest 91L in the Gulf of Mexico. The system is slowly organizing, and is expected to become a Tropical Depression or Potential Tropical Cyclone by tomorrow evening.
From there, the system will become Tropical Storm Francine as it moves northward. The storm will scrape near the Texas coastline before turning northeast into Louisiana. Heavy rain, strong winds, and some coastal flooding is likely across the Western and Central Gulf coast states through the week. Folks across the region should closely watch forecasts.
