A look back in time - One of our old videos in the Leatham!
Hey guys I'm chch local and you please let me know where this is. I'm super keen to give it a go!
Hi Harry, if you have instagram flick us a message on there and we will give you the details!
my favourite vids where def those leatham ones haha. would love to see more local hunting trips hehe
We love the Leatham eh. Great spot, super accessible. We may have done our dash in there for the mean time, but plenty more places to go around the top of the south. Appreciate the feedback mate!! Thanks for watching :)
Lets see more of that handsome Ginger 😂
🤣🤣 you’re talking about the ginger whitetail, right…
Keep slugging at it guys . . . just don't bend yourself to the 'industry' and start filling up your channel with product placements and promos. We're sick of it. Maybe also try some shorter vids, punchy clips . . . and minimal narration (ie. keep it visual .. .there seems to be way too much narration in most hunters vids IMHO) My 2c worth.
Hi Greig, thanks for the comment mate. Appreciate the feedback. It’s a good idea, I’ve been guilty of filling a video up with a bit much music and narration at times, sometimes it’s nice to let it “breathe” a little bit. Got a little punchy vid in the pipeline as we speak too, how good. Thanks for being a loyal watcher Greig! - Kieran.
@@chasingpeaks 👍
I have enjoyed watching all your videos. The catch and cook angle is now being done by a few You Tubers. I also like this aspect as its given me recipes for the family. Keep doing it guys.
That’s really cool to hear Paul, appreciate the feedback. Makes sense to document the whole process eh, it’s quite a privilege to have the option to harvest your own food!
Catch and cook videos were really good! Well thought out recipes, looked delicious!!
That’s great to hear, thanks rmj89. We are looking forward to the Stewart island trip where we will be able to bring together multiple different catch and cook ideas, all from one of the amazing corners of our country!
Welcome back Boys, any content from you guys is good content 👌 If you need any cooking tips just let me know 😀🍻👍
@@johnnycorby1266 mate, it would be criminal not to get you in a video. Show us how it’s supposed to be done….
I love watching catch and cook videos. That's how I found your channel. But then went on to enjoy the hunting. But catch and cook is my favorite 😊
That is brilliant, thank you. Cooking what we can acquire from the wilds of our country is a big passion of ours. More to come then 👍
Came here from the flounder video. Great content mate! Keep up the great videos!
Hi Patrick, really appreciate that mate! Thanks for commenting and watching! :)
Good, solid meat animal. Amazing numbers of hinds.
Sometimes you just have to take the easier ones towards the end of the trip eh. Plenty venison in there for the taking!
Mean cuzzz🔥
That was brilliant, fantastic scenery and the footage of the stags was awesome, don’t always need to take an animal to have brilliant memories
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good shit lads, loved the vid!! What was the track like between Lake TeAnau and Hankinson? Easy enough to portage an inflatable through?
Cheers mate! Appreciate it! It wasn’t too bad, only about a 15 min walk. It was a well cut track too. Certainly worth a look if you don’t want to fork out for a heli ride.
This is such a quality film lads , awesome stuff
Yeah bloody good fellas! Great vid
Cheers fella! Much appreciated 😊
Love your work great vid love watching your guys videos
Big demon! Thanks fella, cheers for watching bro 😊

My apologies! 😂 Glad it stimulated your appetite! Cheers mate.
Great film - well shot and edited and that deer was a absolute stomper
MacPac Olympus tent?
Sure is. Bomb proof 👌🏼
Cheers, I might get one two take my missus Chamois Hunting. Our Minaret is a bit on the small side for two people@@chasingpeaks
Nice country. But shame about all the radiata, this is very much how most of our foot hill country is going to look in the next two generations. As hunters we should be vocal about the damage to this country it causes.
Couldn’t agree more! Definitely do our fair share of talking about it. Plus, always pull out a few hundred as you go (Not that it helps much).
That's a f..king nice Red Stag bro well done 🕊
Cheers Grant! Hell of a head to pull out of that area! Thanks for watching.
Hey boys. Well done. Take it from a long time cooker of fish. Red onions should be served raw. Cook them and they drop the purple colouring which actually turns close to black and discolour s your meal. Cook with white red for salads and raw. Keep up the great work.
Appreciate the advice mate! Thanks for watching!
now that was frigging epic
Thanks my dude!
The whole social side of the hunter/gatherer process really enhances the outcome, doesn’t it? Neat video. You’ve inspired me to do one. 😀
It totally does eh. Going out and gathering food with your friends/family and cooking up some goodness afterwards is one of the most wholesome experiences life offers in my eyes. I’m glad to hear it’s inspired you. Look forward to seeing your video. Thanks for watching!
That’s the tahi bruv
Tu meke m’bro.
Mean video bro xx
Thanks my dear friend ❤️
Awesome video & an epic stag. Well done lads!
Thanks mate!

Incredible video. Loved watching this and going on the adventure with you. Your videos surpass the quality of others doing the same. I hope this explodes for you guys! Your epic to watch ❤
All of this guys are awesome hunters i love watching ❤️❤️❤️
I just don't understand why you didn't cape such a fantastic, hard earnt trophy.
Very good and valid concern. It was after much deliberation that we made the decision not to. It is a great animal and one unlikely to better, from that region. However, once we do find the ‘right’ Red Stag for a shoulder mount he will, well and truly, be a great specimen. Also, it keeps that challenge and drive alive.
Quality video there lads! Good stag too
Mate absolutely beauty.!! Well done. Didn't get to say hi at the RO course the other day ,but surely will. Good payoff right there.Jeremy
Hi Jeremy. Hope you enjoyed it. Will no doubt catch you at one of the next meetings.
Awesome video lads how good
what block mate
Public Land mate. Just need the Open DoC permit 👍👍
Such a sick video lads, cheers for putting it together.
Glad you enjoyed boss!
Cool video guys. What cal rifles are you using?
The Browning that shot the stag is a .280. The Tikka is chambered in .308. 🤙
Very nice video my friend..there are many mountain goat there...good job bro👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Great hunt and awesome head! Definitely a shoulder mount respect for the hard hunt and quality stag, pity you didn’t cape him out hey
Certainly a decision made after plenty of pondering!
Nice lads. What area?
Spot X 🤪
Wild guess. Somewhere around the key Te Anau
Good stag guys Simon put the effort in good to see thanx guys
