When one of the legs of your flight to the Philippines is long (12-16 hour), pay for an aisle seat on the plane. Otherwise you'll be asking your seatmates to get up and let you out all the time to stretch your legs and/or go to the bathroom. Trust me, the seats are NOT comfortable enough to sit in for that long of a period of time, so you will want to get up and walk around the plane several times during the flight. Also, even though it is warm in the Philippines, the long flights tend to be FREEZING cold inside the plane. Wear a comfortable hoodie, long pants, and socks and shoes, or you will need to wrap yourself up in a couple of airline blankets.
