Awesome review, I’ve been following you for a while. Love your rig.
I love the shocks!! They're now on my list. Gotta have!
Amazing practical ingenuity to achieve the comforts of home in the back country. The art of living, wvell done.
Thank you so much. We have made pretty big changes to this little camper. You're a kindred spirit! I' ve built something with many similarities but on an 8.5 x 16 platform. I needed something to camp and haul my sxs. You've inspired me to put a video together of my own. Its great to see that there is so much interest in innovative solutions and creative thinking!
That sounds awesome. Send me the link when u do. I made major changes to the trailer in this video ua-cam.com/video/6G1-MKZaC4c/v-deo.htmlsi=15pdltZoiNXnQtOs

Amazing work. So practical .

We folks up north would want drop down axles so it can also be an ice house!
Definitely! You may want to watch the video where I made massive changes to this trailer ua-cam.com/video/6G1-MKZaC4c/v-deo.htmlsi=VKNu_JXSqc43xMzq
Lol you're the man! I'm literally trying to do this same thing hah
Let me know how it works out for you. Hope the video helps.
@waysoutback yeah it forsure helped me! I just need to sack up now lol
Great build. I have a 12 x 6 with a V nose. I decided against the bathroom but may change it around. I made it for one to start with but had to add a bed for a passenger. I don't do winter camping and didn't need 30 gal tank. But don't have a shower inside either. We use 6 gal jugs for water supply and Grey water. Use of foot pump instead of electric pump. We have an ac window unit put into the wall. 500wts of solar with 800 amp hour lithium batteries. We tend to eat outside and can cook in or out. We do have a microwave as well and about the same sink. We are Arizona folks so the climate makes a big difference as to what you need Inside. I love seeing everyone's different set up. Love your 2 big windows. Great video and explaination.
The great thing about building ur own is you can make it right for you. Your set up sounds great. We absolutely love Arizona and plan on being there in January/February. Your winters are so much more enjoyable than ours! We made pretty big changes to our original set up, you can check it out in this video. Let me know what you think. ua-cam.com/video/6G1-MKZaC4c/v-deo.htmlsi=7NTDmohtzWfrCgaf

Great site - Please share the long/lat
❤ The roof looks like it last along time not like cheap roofs they put on RV these days 😊
Ive been concerned about the trailer I buy and getting closer to switching to a cargo trailer.I need a trailer to prt live in and part convert into music studio. This is the 2nd or 3rd cargo conversion Ive seen and its just amazing how much easier it is to modify to your like and with the additions of rails it makes it more flexible and practical. The nose are of the cargo is also impressive with the welding to install your batts, propane tanks, a generator, and other things. Very nice. Yours is way too small though, I need at least a 16ft or 8 wide by 14 even. I'll be pulling it with a 95 van E250. A lot of great ideas and tips you gave me but also whats the antifreeze for? Thanks.
Thanks so much for your comment. We made pretty big changes to our trailer which you can see in this video ua-cam.com/video/6G1-MKZaC4c/v-deo.htmlsi=QFY0ImTkLNP1xD2v. Might help with your build. Also have a how to guide available from my website.
My mom drives me crazy , I drop and spill alot , if I don’t clean it up boy I get it , I don’t mind cleaning my mess even though it was an accident, but she puts the broom and dust pan out in the back out side , why is the house too small to keep a broom and dust pan in ? The winter I get snow all over getting the broom in. Now I need a mop to mop up the wet snow besides the broom and dust pan , see that’s why I’m mentally disturbed:(
Great video! You did a fantastic job on the camper. I like that everything is thought through, but not over complicated. I'd be interested in how much money you think you have invested in the whole camper? It is so much better than an RV! Thanks
Thanks! Have to do a video on that……Made pretty big changes to the trailer not sure if you saw this video ua-cam.com/video/6G1-MKZaC4c/v-deo.htmlsi=QFY0ImTkLNP1xD2v.
Good job! Great design, perfect use of your space.
Thank you. I did make pretty big modifications in this video ua-cam.com/video/6G1-MKZaC4c/v-deo.htmlsi=QFY0ImTkLNP1xD2v
The amount of time and mental energy I spent dithering over my flooring choice when I was building my conversion was pretty considerable. Everyone has the click flooring but I couldn't see how a floor that is meant for indoor application, and is supposed to be installed with enough room for the floor to expand/contract is supposed to stay in place bouncing down the road in one of these things. Plus the weather considerations. I don't camp in the winter but my trailer is stored when it's sub freezing temps and in the summer when the trailer's closed up waiting for the next trip the interior of it can reach well over 100 F degrees. I decided to go with an epoxy painted water proof flooring applied directly to the wood subfloor with a paint chip flecking for extra grip and visual appeal. So glad I went that direction. It looks great and has functioned beautifully. All this to say, thank you for validating my choice!
Your floor sounds great! Funny thing is I went with vinyl sheet flooring in my trillium trailer…….but when I first built my cargo trailer I went with vinyl plank……clearly didn’t think it through, it was left over from a house so thought I’d use it. Bad decision.
If it was a do-over, would you have gone with a 7x12 trailer? Or possibly a 6x12 with a different bed configuration? Thank you
Great question! I really love the 7 ft wide for the bed configuration. But the problem with that one is it’s 7 ft plus the tires are mounted to exterior of frame making it 8ft…….that makes travelling where we go more difficult even limiting it. The 6 by 12 would definitely take more thought from the design perspective. For us as a couple I’d go for the 7ft. If it was just for me though I think I’d go for the 6ft.
Do you have a link for the black helper handle to the left of your passenger door? Thank you!

Thanks for the update Zac. Great trailer build!😀👍
Thanks! We definitely like the changes we made, and look forward to completing them.
The shower solution I have in my head is a circular base and lid from a large plastic barrel (blue float barrel), and then for a removable wall, you would 'slot in' a sheet of vinyl (crazy carpet like) around. Make sense? curtains never work and never easy to clean.
Interesting concept. Love the out of the box thinking. If you get around to building it let me know, would love to know how it turns out. Showers are very important to us, it’s worth the effort.
I started out thinking 120v ac and 12v DC.... Pull all the 120v except to the battery charger... Beefed up the Battery amp hours ... Have not looked back. Works beautiful...
Ya I agree easy to start out with too small of batteries, and regret it. We did that with our little fibreglass trillium trailer. Better to go big from the start.
❤❤❤
Does anyone regret putting in a composting toilet?
So is it time to unsubscribe or wait patiently
I hope u choose to wait. Been an incredibly busy summer. But going to get going in the next week. Looking forward to sharing some camping trips and some changes to the trailer as well.
how do you know where crown land id to camp?
I use backroad map book and google earth.
What month was this?
January.
Great video and exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks! The steps have been working great.
It's got everything you need. Nice little build.
Thankyou! It worked out well for a while……but had to make changes to suit us. Check them out in this video ua-cam.com/video/6G1-MKZaC4c/v-deo.htmlsi=2MY07EX2SAlCvWFV
one thing I've noticed... with all these beautiful lakes u visit, do u not fish?
We do!!! For pickerel mostly, will have to include that in video.
isn't that just the weirdest feelin travelling lower than the lake levels? done it a number of times on the atv... gotta luv beavers
Definitely
my cholesterol levels just doubled watching this..... yummy doesnt do it justice :)
Haha
I'd be curious to know? do u guys use satnav or garmin type gps loaded with off road maps to find these places?
No we just use google maps and download them so they work offline
your maggie must be overwhelmed by the cornucopia of smells when she's out in the wilderness, mine is the spitting image only white and beige, we've yet to take her out with us, but intend to, when my cargo is finished in the spring
Oh that’s awesome! I’m sure yours will enjoy it as much as Maggie does. Dogs enhance our camping trips.
VIEWER WARNING: don't watch these videos on an empty stomach :) :) u guys eat better out in the middle of nowhere than i do at home
Lol!!!!
cargo's(like any other trailer) are rolling earthquakes... what holds ur stove to the counter and do u remove it in the summer months?
No it’s permanently screwed to the countertop.
I"m having a hard time trying to figure who enjoys the adventures more, you two or the critter :)
Definitely hard for us to tell too.
Are you expecting a bear 🐻 while you are crapping, or showering? Lol. Great build though....
I’m always aware of the possibility of bears. You might enjoy this video I made huge changes to the trailer. ua-cam.com/video/6G1-MKZaC4c/v-deo.htmlsi=c-gASOF2cVRgbzym
i haul mine with a silverado with a six and half foot box ( just enough room for my atv with plow if i get the inclination to winter camp here in New Brunswick
That’s perfect. I’m sure New Brunswick has awesome spots.
ok..... fess up either u had help backing under the ball.. or sum editing was done ( either that or u (like myself) have a camera installed :)
Haha. I have a wireless magnet camera on the back of my trailer and stick it on the back of my truck for backing up.
if u ever get the chance you must connect up with the crowd from I ride tiny house adventures i'm sure bill and deb would have there socks blown off by ur build as they live full time in theirs..... mine is only half complete but i've gained an obscene amount of ideas for mine ( atlas 6 by 14 )
I’ll look them up. Thanks for watching! Would love to hear about your build.
Bro, you blew my mind on such reduce space, truly amazing. ! Muy bueno Amigo ! I will learn from you. ! Thank you !
Thank you so much. I think you would enjoy seeing the pretty big changes I made to the trailer in this video. ua-cam.com/video/6G1-MKZaC4c/v-deo.htmlsi=c-gASOF2cVRgbzym
Definitely some poop water on the ground under the trailer
Nope. Just coffee.
You might enjoy the changes I made in this video ua-cam.com/video/6G1-MKZaC4c/v-deo.htmlsi=c-gASOF2cVRgbzym
I just noticed between this video and #4, you also did the walls but you didn't cover what you did to them...
Is the information you are looking for in this ua-cam.com/video/ZqMtRlpTOt8/v-deo.htmlsi=kTXTw6kRMOm9bZPA
