Is Richard also the same Richard from wheels2walking? Thanks + great video!
Is anybody on 37s ? Or are most people on 35-inch tires?
Nobody is on 37s. Majority were on 35s but we had a good amount on 33s as well.
Cool, I have a 24 zr2 bison. So I should be good on the next get-together.
Is there a time or a place that a person signs up for next year's event.
It's on Outlandish Overland Facebook event page. The link is in the description of the video where you can RSVP.
Ok . Thanks for the information.
Love the whining sound of the engine 😂 V 8s forever.
V8s in a mid size havent existed in a very, very long time 🤷🏽
Did ya’ll hit Eye of the Whale on the way up to Tower Arch?
We did. We didn't stop at it as there really isn't a lot of parking at that arch.
Dang I’d love to take my ZR2 out there
Mark your calendar!
That was a fun place
Yes it was 🙌🏽
Awesome!!!
It's a fun time for sure!
This looks like a blast! Looking forward to attending it this coming year
Can't wait to have new faces next year 🙌🏽
Looking forward to the next episode!
Will be out in the next coming weeks!
🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤙🏽 anotha great vid ..and great cliffhanger
Thank you 🙌🏽
Beautiful video 😍
Thank you!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It truly is a 5 star trail 🙌🏽
Solid video
Thank you!
Are you using hill descent on those steep drops? Wondering what you think of that feature.
I have used hill decent before but not on obstacles, usually use it on steady steep inclines. For downward obstacles I normally use terrain mode.
Step on the pedal next to the long skinny one and you'll be fine
Hey bud, what psi do you air out your tires to for the trails and fire trails? Follow you & I enjoy your content.
Depends on the trail. Usually for easy going trails like this, I air down to 20-25 psi. For more serious trails I air down to 10-20 psi depending on the severity of the trail.
how close are you to the weight limit with that topper? was thinking of going with the bison, but because of all the extras, the bison only has about 1,050lbs left where as the zr2 has around 1,400lbs of play.
Actually the ZR2 non-bison has a payload of 1151 lbs. This topper only weighs 300lbs. It really depends on how you build out the back with the weight. I built it myself designing it pretty much as lightweight as possible. Right now with my build out and all the equipment and us in the vehicle we are basically at the payload capacity right now.
Sweet video! Are you going to get the CCE fog light kit?
I've thought about it but it really depends on which front bumper I decided to go with.
@ I just got mine installed, it’s nice to be able to replace the fake vent pieces that come on the truck.
Nice! It's definitely on my radar though!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
But where do you sleep?
The awning has walls that you attach and sleep inside it on a cot.
Great video! I currently have a 2022 Ford Ranger Lariat Tremor edition. However, looking at getting a 2024 Chevrolet ZR2. Would I be disappointed for trading up or based on your history with the Ranger should I just keep mine.
I personally don't think you will be disappointed. There isn't a single day that goes by that I miss my Ranger. The ZR2 is an upgrade in every way.
Wait - where are those tail lights from?
Anzo USA. They are prototypes and will be out next year.
From the video, it sounds very similar to stock; does it really sound deeper/better IRL?
Yes it does. It's not a massive difference but it is very much noticable deeper tone and slightly more sound over stock.
You change your HL and TL back to stock?
No, this is just a video that was recorded before I installed them. I have a backlog of videos 😅
We did Onion Creek in our stock 2015 Subaru Outback and our Ram 1500 (different years, but both in the mud after a snowstorm). It's a beautiful trail that is pretty accessible to most people, even if they're not into off-roading. 🙂
Nice yes it's a very friendly trail for lots of people to check out
I just subscribed because of your hairdo🤣 great video👍🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Haha 🤣 Thanks for subscribing 🙌🏽
I have the Lasfit air compressor and it doesn’t last that long when airing up 1 tire to 80 psi on my Dually
I mean 80 psi out of a small compressor like this is a lot to ask for
cool didn't think there was any place in California one could drive on the beach have to ck it out on my next central coast trip
Yeah one of the few places left and to beach camp is only a $10 permit.
Good stuff! Me and a buddy just did that trail last month in the second gen ZR2s.
Nice it's a nice fun trail to do!
The scenery was breathtaking, making for a splendid camping experience. New friend. Excellent sharing💕
Thank you!
How's the truck holding up as far as drive train? Mileage? Considering buying one im skeptical of the 4 cylinder. Thanks in advance
I currently have 17k miles on it and have had no issues with the drive train. I had a few smaller issues with it that I cover on my 10k mile review video
You need a Gladiator Rubicon buddy!
Nah
Nice rig…but the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon would be my choice in the mid-size truck choices. The capability and simplicity of modification is amazing.
I personally think they are ugly and overpriced. The ZR2 is perfect for what I need
@ I’m glad you love it. I’ve seen some of your videos and you like to get spicy on those rocks. My opinion is you would absolutely love love love the capability of a gladiator Rubicon. The articulation of the solid axle front end is unmatched.
Love the videos but how do you have the time to do all this? I’d love to do this someday as frequently :)
I utilize my weekends a lot. I work 4/10s so I have Mondays off every single week. Also I have unlimited PTO with work which I utilize a bunch.
Those are some awesome views! I need to get out on a camping trip. What drone do you use? I’ve been wanting to get one.
Yes they are! I use the DJI Air 3.
I'm confused about the spare tire. I thought the Bison's is mounted to the bed because that size does not fit under the body yet yours is down there. I would go with the bison if it wasn't for that spare taking up all the space in the bed. How did yours fit under the bed and chevy could not figure out the same on the Bison???
I don't have a full size spare underneath. It's the factory 33" tire still underneath
@@outlandishoverland oh that makes sense. Fyi I found a comment under another zr2 video where the guy said he was able to fit a 35 under the bed. Do you think yours would fit? It seems to be wider than the ones on the Bison.
It can fit but it will hang much lower and hurt the departure angle.
Looked like fun I’m glad you had a great time
It was an awesome time!
forgetting his underbody cameras (mine came w/ two of them anyway)
I have them. Spotter is always better in these scenarios.
@@outlandishoverland ok, good point
loving my 2024 ZR2 (former Toyota fanboy)
It's a great truck 👍🏽
No one can convince me to put an exhaust on a 4banger but glad you got the mods goin on
I do agree with that, other than on a turbo Subaru of course. This AFE does seem to sound the best for this truck though, still don't know if I could put one on my canyon At4 without hearing it in person though
I’d say you learned the limits of it there.
Would you happen to know the weight capacity on the sleeping platform?
The weight capacity is 800lbs
My 2022 ranger xl looks very fine with fogs!!!
Great video
My94 vw golf could handle that stuff lol. Everybody wants to have a channel. 🙄
If you read the other comments you would be able to see why we did the stuff we did. If you check out my other videos you would see your 94 golf would not be able to handle any of the trails I normally go on...
Definitely can’t wait to get those anzo lights for my truck when they’re available. Make the truck look so much better
Yes they make it look so aggressive 🙌🏽
What brand of rock sliders are on each vehicle?
The 3rd Gen are factory sliders and the 2nd Gen are custom fabricated sliders.
@ who did the customs job, I am in Utah
@ who did the custom job? I am in Utah, love to have a set for my 2dr wildtrak
Unknown, he was the second owner. All he knows is they are custom. He also lives in Georgia.
Hi. New to your channel. The Richard in your videos…is it Richard Corbett by chance? Just wondering. I’m a big fan.
It is indeed Richard Corbett.
Wow! That’s fantastic! He’s been an inspiration to a lot of people. I look forward to your future adventures!
The stock exhaust note of the ZR2 is really the only underwhelming thing about the truck, and this looks like it might fix that. I'll be interested to see what your thoughts are of it after a couple thousand miles.
I've had it about 1,000 miles so far and still loving it and adds such a nice tone to the truck.
This exhaust sounds great. A lot better than the MBRP that I have on my Colorado. The drone is so bad between 1500-3000 rpm’s, after you get above 55mph. Being in western Ohio I don’t think I could survive a trip out west to go wheeling after listening to my exhaust.
Yeah I had done a ton of research before hand and pulled the trigger on the AFE. Now, even after a road trip and about 1,000 miles and still love it. No noticable drone. Only drones slightly when going up steeper inclines.
@@outlandishoverlandI may just have to cut my losses and order this. I had to rig the factory resonator into it just to make a little reasonable.
@@c_haines Weird. I have the full MBRP system on mine and while there can be a small bit of drone with windows all down at very low rpms, it all but goes away when windows go up. It seems to have decreased as the system has gotten more mileage on it too. I don't even notice it anymore. And it has zero drone on highway or at speed.
@@swimster144 They seemed to think it had to do with the fact that I have a lift and bigger wheels, so they thought the engine is working harder. I had even tried a more restrictive muffler from them as well. The issue isn’t when accelerating, it’s really just driving at a constant speed between 1500-3000.
