I always get excited about your crafty videos anticipating to learn something new from your old books, or relaxing listening to your soothing piano sounds or most exciting - to see a new knitted friend! I watched this video with a smile on my face as it evoked so many fond memories from my childhood - crafting with my babulya (my granny) and thinking about the things we were taught as children. Do keep sharing the book - it's a gem! Also what wonderful phots of dancing girls! Even though they are still I feel like they tell a story and I can almost imagine those cute girls giggling! Hello Helen! What a lovely way to spend time with your nieces! I used to do crafts in the summer holiday with my eldest daughter when she was little and still sometimes we do some crafts together. We loved the tree and particularly the sheep! Lovely episode. My daughter was a dance student all her growing up years. One summer she took a weeklong workshop at University on Character Dance. Enjoyed your video so much today Helen. I think Snaefrith would suit a shawl (crossed over and pinned at the back) over her dungarees. She does have a very gentle face. Nell is a great wee piper! The teeth and bath lectures were so interesting, although I don’t think I’d be a fan of a cold bath in the morning 🥶 especially in a Scottish winter! The dancers were delightful, and the music was a perfect accompaniment. It did make me wonder if those girls were from well-to-do families though, with all those pretty costumes, or if the dance school provided them. Oh, and I nearly forgot the sock. She did so well, especially on dpns for a first go. I hope she continues to love sock knitting! 🧦🧦🧦 My granddaughter is showing an interest, and I’m so pleased, she has managed a pair of hand warmers, now she just needs to learn about heels and toes. 😅
