Just be careful of all the oscillates in those foods you listed .Everything in moderation adding lots of cruciferous and lemon will help offset the issue if you have it .
Hands down, your videos are the best education on what to eat and more importantly, why to eat the right foods. I had pancreatitis twenty years ago and became T2 as a result. It wasn't until I started really educating myself on what to eat that I was able to essentially reverse my diabetes. My diet now is almost exactly the foods you recommend. Please continue to educate us.

I once knew this, but I needed a reminder! This makes way more sense than all the no/low carb, - high animal fat, zero 'any' sugar, or strict keto diets "doctors" push. I love all foods, and when I limited myself to only berries, 'some' veggies or nuts in tiny quantities, and mostly meat, cheese & eggs, I missed out on the other whole foods that God created for our bodies. I'm not obese, or diabetic, so I feel good about going back to whole foods, in the beneficial quantities. I'm tired of feeling deprived of delicious foods because popular on-line influencers say so many foods are taboo! I guess there are many food lifestyles that people swear by, for them, but I don't want part of that way of eating that says no to apples, and grapes, many veggies etc... ...I'm living with my good whole-foods again!
Please do a video on oxalates and how to pre boil to lessen the oxalate levels. Then please do one of lectins and how to reduce them too. I would love to get your take on these two issues. I want to protect my heart, muscles, gut, liver and kidneys!
Very interested in oxalates and arsenic in whole grains. I try to limit spinal and Swiss chard ( substitute kale and other greens) and eat organic California rice but also eat a variety of others like oatmeal, millet, whole grains pasta.

Oxalates are by contrast not able to be made better They are always horrible. Avoid all oxalates foods abd then suffer to get them out of one’s body for good. This woman does a terrible job recommending good foods Please have saturated fats.
Is it strange that the USA is far behind in understanding healthy food? I worked mainly in the Middle East and Asia, which are much better in that regard. Money seems to run the food Industry, and most people are too lazy to educate themselves. You are absolutely right that it should be learned in schools. However, with Western, mainly American fast food present in these areas, I see many of diabetes and overweight kids!

I eat carbohydrates but I limit my consumption to 50 grams a day. Sometimes I go higher depending how strict I am during the week. I allow myself a day to eat a little more of the foods I enjoy without over indulging.

One comment on hummus though, from what I have discovered is conventional hummus has a big concern with the VERY high levels of glyphosate, ( actually the highest absorbtion of all the crops,) It seems the only safer option is to buy organic, and that's not perfect, but much much lower levels.

I also try to eat grass fed products and avoid corn products especially corn chips. I have stated making my own spice mixes in jelly jars since spice pack contain maltodextrin and other additives that are horrible for you. The UA-cam Rachel Cooks with Live has ratios for chili, taco and Fajita spice mixes in her description with her videos. Her videos do teach how to make dishes from scratch even corn tortillas and flour tortillas. Great video

In regard to iodine, most doctors refer to the Wolfe-Chaikof 38:50 study of the dangers of too much iodine (thyroid). This study was disclaimed later on. Sometimes labs reflect a change in thyroid at first, but this normalizes after a while for those who ingest higher levels of iodine. Most Americans are deficient. Otherwise, an amazing presentation. In regards to the Thiamine info you talked about I have methylation problems because of the MTHFR gene, I take larger doses of Thiamine and B12 but it's still causing me a lot of problems.
Maybe in a video somewhere you could mention the root cause of why people are addicted to the taste of sugar - it is a reaction of eating heavily yang foods all the time (eggs, chicken, meat, etc) and their body is pushing them to compensate (Yin-Yang principle) - so not until people start cutting out Yang foods, they are going to have difficulty cutting out sugars...
I got a little confused when you sidetracked about white rice. I actually prefer brown rice, so now I’m wondering. (My favorite: medium grain brown rice. It’s wonderful in soups or casseroles, or just with a little butter as a side.) Were you saying that we should eat brown rice, but not as one of the top ten?
What should I do when I like bitter taste? To me it's bitter, it's delicious. For example, you talked about stevia and the bitter aftertaste, and to me, stevia is super tasty. I use it in small quantities for drinks, but also when I prepare cakes sometimes. Dandelion is also delicious to me, as well as similar vegetables.

I'd love to eat the skin of everything, but since I don’t always have access to self grown or a farmers mrkt, I ate my supermarkets supposed organic and non-organic berries, grapes + nuts and I got symptoms of food poisoning so bad that I went straight to my doctors office.

I’m surprised though that you would recommend Morton salt (or any table sal) that is over processed product void of the naturally occurring minerals, subjected ti chemicals n anti-caking chemicals added, plus isn’t the iodine synthetic. Dr, I’m not finding “flavanols” listed in the Ingredients list OR the Nutritional Facts on the back of any cocoa powder or any organic dark chocolate bars I am finding. And I have been sifting through a lot of different powders and chocolate bars. Do flavanols go by another name that would be listed on the back of these items or would the word “flavanols” actually appear on the back of these items if they were present in these items?
It seems like if you use mouthwash to kill cavity causing bacteria, even after brushing, that it takes just a few minutes to replace the microbiome naturally.
I always keep the skin on my apples though, apples without skin, well, they're just gross in my opinion. Also, it's not sugar that I'm addicted to per say, it more chocolate and mint, I always try to find the naturally sweetened or even unsweetened variants. PS. I really like this video, because all of these snacks, you don't have to prep or cook. As a totally blind person who was never taught to cook, this is great. You could polish the fruits. The acid in the stomach is designed to kill the yeast on fruits. This is no mold.

You mentioned sucrose. I use sucralose (Splenda) for a sugar substitute. Is that as bad as sucrose? If so what's the healthier sweetener?

In regard to iodine, most doctors refer to the Wolfe-Chaikof 38:50 study of the dangers of too much iodine (thyroid). This study was disclaimed later on. Sometimes labs reflect a change in thyroid at first, but this normalizes after a while for those who ingest higher levels of iodine. Most Americans are deficient. Otherwise, an amazing presentation. In regards to the Thiamine info you talked about I have methylation problems because of the MTHFR gene, I take larger doses of Thiamine and B12 but it's still causing me a lot of problems.
Maybe in a video somewhere you could mention the root cause of why people are addicted to the taste of sugar - it is a reaction of eating heavily yang foods all the time (eggs, chicken, meat, etc) and their body is pushing them to compensate (Yin-Yang principle) - so not until people start cutting out Yang foods, they are going to have difficulty cutting out sugars...

I got a little confused when you sidetracked about white rice. I actually prefer brown rice, so now I’m wondering. (My favorite: medium grain brown rice. What should I do when I like bitter taste? To me it's bitter, it's delicious. For example, you talked about stevia and the bitter aftertaste, and to me, stevia is super tasty. I use it in small quantities for drinks, but also when I prepare cakes sometimes. Dandelion is also delicious to me, as well as similar vegetables.

I’m surprised though that you would recommend Morton salt (or any table sal) that is over processed product void of the naturally occurring minerals, subjected ti chemicals n anti-caking chemicals added, plus isn’t the iodine synthetic. (Like all added vitamins, etc added to processed foods). I rather have the unprocessed salt with the natural occurring minerals and get the iodine other ways or take a supplement.

Dr, I’m not finding “flavanols” listed in the Ingredients list OR the Nutritional Facts on the back of any cocoa powder or any organic dark chocolate bars I am finding. And I have been sifting through a lot of different powders and chocolate bars.
Do flavanols go by another name that would be listed on the back of these items or would the word “flavanols” actually appear on the back of these items if they were present in these items?

It seems like if you use mouthwash to kill cavity causing bacteria, even after brushing, that it takes just a few minutes to replace the microbiome naturally.
I always keep the skin on my apples though, apples without skin, well, they're just gross in my opinion.
Also, it's not sugar that I'm addicted to per say, it more chocolate and mint, I always try to find the naturally sweetened or even unsweetened variants.
PS. I really like this video, because all of these snacks, you don't have to prep or cook. As a totally blind person who was never taught to cook, this is great. I don't know if there's been a study, but I'm noticing a LOT of my friends, who are also blind have diabetes, which that's not the reason they're blind, by the way.
